  4. yeah got em today.. mate at pedders pulled up the part number and got the equivalent pedders bush.. as for the tube is the bush a tight fit or slightly slippy.?
  5. thanks mate much appreciated
  6. hey dude the pipe that your mount bushes are in is it a generic size of tube and bush or did u turn it out? i'm redoing the mounts in my 30 for my 4e and i'm considering doing mounts similar to these it seams alot easier than the ones i fabbed up.
  7. haven't done anything more to the boot yet but i did do this yesty.. first time so should get better. will be doing the front covers the same.
  8. any repair you do is going to end up looking better than the rest of the car. most likely the car being an ae86 is clear on base well... back then they were doing acrylic and the 2 pack clear. the paint shop will be able to mix the colour into pretty much whatever paint you want. depending on the colour would dictate my choice of paint... if its a metallic i would go basecoat + clear. if its a striaght colour the easiest way would be a 2 pack. Acrylic urethane enamel protec 604 or 606 or forget which code it is. if you want more advice etc. pm me.
  9. the dash top mate what u put foam in.
  10. been slowly chipping away at the boot install i have no clue what i'm doing so i'm winging it. so far so good.. bit dodgy here and there but once wrapped you'd never know.. my first ever sub box... haven't cut the hole for the speaker yet because i haven't decided to go the soundstream 10"square or the 12" round both need the same volume of air.. ish in a sealed box.. but it give me an idea of installation. once the hole has been cut i will caulk all the seams to make sure its airtight and line the inside with sound deadening foam. next is the first amp needs to be redone as i figured out a better way of doing it but you get the picture. and then back of the boot and the soon to be battery location (will be hidden behind a facia) and the floor space left is twice as much as before. cheers. more at the end of the week.
  11. yes unfortunate for the missuses lol.
  12. PIMP!! kken to see the dash as mine i farked but i don't wanna fork out huge dollars to get it fixed.
  13. matt DNA paints do a full matte 2 pack clear.. as does ppg. oh and i know what you mean about three rebuilds.... i'm onto my second rebuild with this car and i'm already planning a tird with a turbo motor and a repaint. third and final time should be 100% how i want it though.
  14. cheers mate... i plan on doing quite alot more like that,... steering shroud pillar plastics and i also plan to install some panels painted like that into my new door trims. decided to get right int airbrushing.. i have a decent quality gun on the way and i have some spare sheet for panels.. i have a compressor jst need to go to the hobby shop and buy some colours.. been spending quite a lot of time on the net watching videos to get techniques really excited to do it.
  15. ok so here is the start of the boot anyone can do this kinda crap took me only 2hrs to get this far. welded in some braces to give some clearance for wiring and also will be adding in some bits to attach the floor to it to give the floor the strength back after cutting the wheel well out. obviously this is extreme for my case but for a stock boot jst use some mdf to space it up a bit. then make templates out of cardboard trace and cut... i wanted to do this in 2 pieces but i had no way of getting a sheet big enough home. so 3 pieces.. on its fixed + underlay+ carpet you'll never know.. the make more templates etc. i will be doing more on this during the week and i'll keep the pics coming.. once done it'll look pretty good.
  16. look into the for EDIS wasted spark system perhaps it can be adapted to be full sequential? popular with gus running megasquirt
  17. now onto my console.. i've mounted guage pipe in it angled up and pointing towards the driver. also plated a bottom poscket out to allow for 4 power window switches.. also had a mate airbrush it before i painted it well cleared it.. then after sanding etcetc.. then clear. then after this i decided to give airbrushing a go myself and this is my first attempt hasn't been cleared though..
  18. next is my rear water outlet stock thermostat still being used. awesomeness.
  19. next is spare wheel well... cut this trace it onto this and i jst use about 30 stainless rivets plenty strong will be bracing it through the top support a false floor to hide ALL wiring. and old stereo... downsizing quite abit and making much much neater..
  20. ok pic dump.. i'll start off with my power window conversion.. not completely finished i still need to sheet it and make a new door trim. remove all that make up a frame and stitch it in. massive speaker... heavy but is rated at 200wrms..
  21. ok fuel tank design finalised and i am picking up the steel tomorrow.. so will have some progress pics up soon... need to buy another sd card adaptor lost the old one.
