I reakon I'll be right, Booked in for a MRI scan at the local Hospital ... my neck feels ok though pain has gone down a lot .. actually can turn it now ... but if there is a fracture as first suspected it will be known! I might go now see if I can find a neck on e-bay hehe or find a 2004 Shamano Deore rear derailer :) Oh my doc said in order for me to recover I have to sit on my bum not move much ... like watching TV.. or on the comp... Today I was feeling a little better from my fever and stomach bug so I decided I might take my g/f for a short ride in Choc-Buddha(MTB trail). We were going great, I did the ramp/log first time and got it first go Then we made our way to the ramps that go onto the log... I did it the 2nd time round.. the whole thing.. after a couple of losses of balance I was going well until I lost balance on the log and my head went straight into a tree breaking the helmet apart completely... its shattered, my whole body weight + bike weight... was compacting my head/neck against the tree.... I can't really remember much after that.. I have a huge headache, neckpains, and grazes on my colarbone. I have the X-rays back and it looks like I have a fractured top virtabre around my spinal cord. :sad: The worst part is that my rear derailer is bent into the back wheel.. I think my handles are bent aswell... So wear your helmet guys.. Tommi

Its cool to have it under my belt.. but considering every other Corsa/GP with the conversion is flying along and going awesomely.. its depressing to know I was burnt and mines sitting in a garage while it should be out there setting the bench mark.. its only time and money :D

Did you know that my car - Maxi (TOMsGPTurbo) was the first Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo fitted with a Starlet GT engine in Australia! Before I started I looked for information about the conversion everywhere possible with no-success at all (including contacting all known EL31 owners in Australia and around the world!), so I bit the bullet and went ahead ... and after publishing what I had done... there is atleast another 4 cars in Australia who have completed the conversion. Strangely the Japanese GP Turbo club (EL-R) have no info on any of their cars with this conversion. Meaning maybe Rolla-Club's GP was the first ever GP Turbo in the world to do the 4EFTE conversion. (The GP only sold in Japan with 6000 cars being made.) To this very day I am sent emails about the conversion and how it can be done. The best benefit is that everything drops right in, the only problem is the wiring but any decent mechanic can do the job for a nice price. Keep it sideways, Tom.

Npz :D I'm thinking the only really hard part would be working out what oil line goes where on the turbo kit.. well I hope that will be the only hard part. hmm maybe also moving the air con radiator thing to fit the intercooler piping.. but i have a plan! to use a bracket lol :rolla:

Ok guys, I've begun to source parts for Maxi's rebuild.... because I will stretch my budget I can't afford to pay for labour (all u money hungry members can push ur back button now!) so I need your help... and to make it even better I thought we can make it into a Rolla Help / Tech day.. were we all can learn how to put in suspension shocks and springs.. replace a bush or 2, put in a slave cylinder and bleed it, plug a WRX Turbo on a custom made manifold and plug up all the oil lines. I hope this doesn't sound like a win win situation for me alone... frankly it is because I get help on something I don't know.. but I think it would also be a win win situation for someone who is my shoes.. and will be one day.. And I have been advised by my boss (gf) that if maxi does not get fixed.. he will be sold sob :fuzz: So say :D to selling him.. and lets get Maxi on the road and kicking some non Toyota arse and making a name for Rolla-Club! I'm looking into doing some TAFE courses on car repair, body work, and general engine stuff... I'm getting really sick of mechanics too.

Isn't it disgusting when you work hard to archive a goal and a low person who can not be bothered to work at all takes away from you your pride and joy. What goes around comes around.

Don't know Teddy, Mechanic is gonna check it out for me on Sat, I have spare 5sp sitting in my garage... but I may of damaged some syncro's I suspect.. I don't know how to double clutch so I did my best to slide it into gears which was sorta hairy... coming onto the m1 and trying to select 5th.. and it doesn't wanna go in while the car is slowing down I managed to get it into 3rd and and then gunned it and slid it into 5th.... sorta clunks between gears ... Man I haven't driven my car in 2 days now and I'm so sad.. I'm missing my baby badly... this is why I can not sell it ... I'm in love.. or just plain crazy lol but its ok to hug'n'kiss ur car before you go to bed ... and talk to it.. and sit with it.. and polish it .. thats normal isn't it..

Ummm... Maxi died :P :D but its just the clutch cylinder... I had to drive it from Southport to Baranda and then back to Runcorn with no fluid in clutch cylinder. ... so basically grinding the syncro's away.. :D Tom walks over to his car and hides in the boot.. and some dirt or something gets into his eyes... :D

Interesting, might just have to get the lows then - thanks for that bit of info Ben. Well Anthony has mention he can get me a HKS/Blitz upgrade for under 1500 and if its the one I'm thinking of it includes KKK or HKS TURBO, external wastegate, dump pipe, manifold, gaskets, and all pipes - direct bolt on. Anthony also mentions a pigyback comp for the standard ecu. Thanks for that link Nick, I actually didn't see that on their site and it is now another option - but I have to supply my own turbo it seems. 140kw at the front wheels in a car that weighs under 1000kgs sounds like fun :P Take it easy and I shall keep you guys updated Tom

I hope it goes great and I know you've been hanging out for it for a very long time, is that you driving it in the 2nd pic? I saw a nice white sprinter at GE the other day, tho it wasn't a hatch it had a boot lid, deep dish rims, drift spoiler, I assume drift damage to the front left side - black gaurd. I thought you were back kicking some arse :o Anyhow take it easy, I hope to get funds sorted out to fix up maxi and me and Arani will come along to a meet and say hello :devil:

EWWW what is he thinking@!... and then a couple yrs later I'm driving one lol .. I would say its more Yakooza then anything else, maybe lowered on 19's :) twin exhaust, debadged, tinted windows... 2x100hp NOS bottles plugged up. Hey guys, I'm back, thought I'll say hi rather then just scanning the boards post, Maxi isn't super dooper yet, though I did blow the turbo now so he has an oil leak. :devil: But maxi the lil beast shall live on!!!! even in his current bad state I did something norty... I raced a new wrx (only mod i could see was zorst) off the lights and I did loose but maxi kept it with him from 1st, 2nd and then into 3rd he pulled away... but I think thats pretty good for a car with the wrong ecu, blown turbo, stuffed susspension, bad tyers, broken clutch cylinder... :) Anyhow racing is bad :o but one bit of footage which has inspired me to keep going on and on... Getaway in stockholm 1 n 2 :fuzz: OK enough rambling, this is the secret plan... which I will only share with my fellow rolla club members... Since maxi is broken... I shall fix him like this: Broken turbo replaced by S15 T28 with custom manifold or KKK EP82 Turbo kit Broken clutch - replaced with heavy duty item and LSD Bad ECU - replaced with stock EP82 unit with fuel cut defender so over 15psi can be run ... I also need some kind of fuel regulator aswell.. Broken suspension replaced by super low springs with koni shockies and new bushes. Exhaust has some holes in the muffler so I'll replace the whole thing with a 3" turbo back system. I'm undecided what to do with the brakes... maybe just better pads and oil RX7 front mount intercooler - its not pretty, its not big but it doesn't matter at speed! (might consider a water spray triggered inside the cabin or at certain temp) All that should be a good starting point, and base to work from, if you have more effective idea please share it.

Morton Island 4WD Hire :) lol ... I asked a guy today at work is it wise to take a jimmy upto 70km/h on the beach getting air off dunes and plowing around in soft sand .. he thought I was nuts haha.. and he runs a 4WD club! .. ... I had no idea a Jimmy wasn't designed to do that stuff... it was my first time driving one... hmmm oh you have to wait for photos for a while.. no digi for me.. I have old school 35mm SLR :|

Damn did i have some fun.... 4WD kinda fun hehe :) Suzuki Jimmy goes great in the rough stuff at Morton, I did some fresh water crossing lol, g/f took photos of water upto the bonnet and flying all over the place... I'll get photos soon :| hmmm so relaxed now..
