  1. Yeh I took it for a spin on the freeway lol ummm if i were a woman and my seat was much stiffer it would of been a fantastic drive ... if you know what I mean lol. I'm driving a old 80's Ford Telstar 2.0 FE carby FWD ... it works so its good.
  2. Oh yeh, much better then sitting in it in the garage pretending to drive! However I am unable to drive it daily to the Gold Coast as the wheels and suspension prevent me from driving above 80km/h.
  3. Yep I know, I will happily drive up if its worth it :) Maybe we could meet up and have a chat if you have time, If I do come up it will be on Friday/Sat sometime as that is most likely the only time I will have off, working at Southport means I finish work at 5 and drive home so I get there at 6 hmm I suppose the tyer place doesn't open till late at night?
  4. don't' worry the All Toyota Day has not slipped my mind yet!!!... I will be trying to contact the gentlemen in charge once again.
  5. Yeh I know what your talking about fook, I learnt to drive in snow in Poland when i was 14 in a Eunos 30x (MX3) ... it had wide wheels which made things interesting but I got the hang of it after a while. P.S: Your car looks awesome (white one in ur profile thing)
  6. Today I took the slave cylinder to Master-Cylinder exchange at slackscreek and got it cleaned up, rekitted and looked over for 30 bucks. Mate and I put it in, bleeded it and presto!! once again I can feel the clutch pedal working.... put the intercooler back on.. pod filter (which I mounted going stright up! lol (I had the bonnet off)) put the strut bar back on... plugged up half the dash.. and turned it over.. Maxi wiped the sleep from his eyes and started first go! I must say driving without a bonnet and having the pod mounted skyward coming 30cms out of where the bonnet should be is great for turbo induction sound effects lol but don't try that at home kiddies or the :D well get ya! Now all I need is the tyers Nick!... please get in contact with me ASAP... I need the tyers urgently plus a wheel alignment/balance thing :) Oh man.. I am so happy my little bundle of joy ...my little baby.. my little spyder lives again.. I think I'm gonna sleep in it tonight :D Happy driving Tommi P.S: Got to get going and see what suspension i can sort .. and then ecu.. turbo kit is a far way off at the moment my budget is extremely limited.
  7. Andrew, would you know your way around a 4EFTE?
  8. I have lived at Runcorn for a while now.. over a year. I never lived on Gold Coast, I work there... I drive from Runcorn to Southport daily (also drop g/f off to work which is on way to brissie) so 0dd 150-200k's a day driving for me.
  9. Nick you forgeting about me????? I'm at Runcorn (where corn runs?)
  10. Alright guys, I have to give back the Ford and that means Maxi will need to be fixed, I need a hand with bleeding the clutch slave cylinder and also a hand to put in the shockies and springs. I'll call around tomorrow and work out what to get.. looks like I'm going to be doing Maxi in this order: Clutch Cylinder & Tyers and next fortnight Shockies & springs Will keep you posted.
  11. Have to give it back soon... Need maxi fixed asap now.. :) man.. this sucks what am I gonna do!!! :D
  12. This is one of the rebadged mazda's We have had one in the family for 15yrs... only problem was a poped radiator hose one hot day.. and that was that.. went like a dream.. All you have to do is service it and look after it and it will last like any other car.
  13. Hey guys Went for a drive to Springbrook today to collect some rocks for my aquarium.. anyhow since maxi is off the road a family friend has lent me the use of his 1983 FWD 2.0 Carby Ford Telstar (rebadged Mazda 626). For a very heavy underpowered car it can actually move quite well through corners, today I left a done up excel for dead, caught a Saab and still managed to have a great drive in a very 'crapy' car. I've decided I'm a cornering person... I love corners at speed... the feeling of balancing the car...controlling it ... taming it.. listening to engine sing.. being prepared for the next corner to do it all over again.... what a rush :) :D Tommi,
  14. Mel - the best of luck, keep cool and I'm sure everyone in RollaClub is behind you! Have fun and keep safe :) P.S: Break a wheel heh
  15. Hmmm... I called but with not much success, 1st time I called it rang out, 2nd time I got him on his mobile but it went dead... 3rd time it rang out again... :)
  16. OI !!! stop hijacking my post your &*^(ing bitches !!! :)
  17. Yay for Grover the super grover ke55 !!! :) My cars name is Turbous Maximus Boostamus - or Maxi for short
  18. hahaha .... Nick remember i'm budgeting for all 4! wheels :) heh Can you imagine me pulling up at the next rolla club meet and going : "check out my fully sick suspension set up... the front right has KYB shockies, custom springs...and the rest is stock aye bro"
  19. Your confusing me !!! I sent the QLD distrubutors of KYB an email about coil overs cause I thought you said that's what I should look for... hmmm ok.. so looking for non coil over's.. so just shockies.. (I can use king springs lows off the shelf)
  20. :D I have the chance to buy some 2nd hand coil over suspension: EP71 coilovers (unknown brand) Height adjustable Damper adjust on rear Spare springs $750.00 neg. Now... I also have the chance to buy brand new shocks and springs for the same price. what should I do? The type of driving I love to do is in the mountains at speeds in excess of 100km/h so cornering means a lot to me... drag racing means nothing to me.. Please help. Tommi :)
  21. MRI confirms no broken neck!!! woohoo.. means i can get my bike fixed and try the log ride again hehe
  22. right... i'm away from work tomorrow, I have some time at home resting.. I'll make the call and tell u guys the details.
  23. Nope.. no new pics.. I can't wait to see Maxi at his full potential.. I have never seen that in the time I have owned the car !!!
  24. Hey guys, I went last year... it was pretty good... not that many Toyota's as I first thought would be there (about 50 max total), Toyota Austalia has all their latest on show including concept cars. I believe twincam16 had a stand last year not sure about Toymods.. I also think the Celica club had a stand.. heaps of old school Toyota's and some drift ae86's about too. I don't remember seening any Supra MK4's last year.. :D but a GP Turbo was on display :) I doubt Maxi will be ready for it.. but if he is ... I'm there. Tommi P.S: Contact Toyota at Acacia Ridge and ask them how we would go setting up a club stand.
  25. You see.. thats where your going wrong Teddy... its the women your suppose to be calling!!!
