Angle grinder or jigsaw with a metal blade for the win, and then use some ally sheet to cover up the hole. Make sure you cover the gear stick hole first so no swarf gets in there.

Cutting springs is illegal and if you are unlucky enough to have a big accident that leads to the coroner or your insurance company having a real good look at your car, you find your self in all sorts of sh*t and without any kind of insurance pay out or coverage. Real bad if you happened to kill someone in that bad accident. Don't cut springs. Kings do lowered springs. That grille was one of the earlier styles, and was also found on the SR models overseas. Can often be found in NZ quite easily.

Matt you do a damned impressive job of detailing up a car. Could do with your skills while I am putting my Celica back together. I suspect as much as anything its patience that is required, which makes it all the more impressive. I reckon $2k is about double what a reasonable KE30 is worth!! :y:

They seem to sell pretty quickly on here when they are $2k... and sit around for ever when they are $3K. But to the right person with the right money on the right day it might be worth $5k. I bought a KE10 2 years ago that was in reasonably good original nick. I paid $3K for it. Spent probably another $2k on nice bits - venetians, lambs wool seat covers, 4k engine, door rubbers, better lights, etc etc... and ended up not being able to get any more than $2k for it. So based on that I would aim for $2K :y:

Its kinda in a state of disassembly at the moment. Side skirt is off.. rear bar is off.. interior trim is out. Was having a go at home panel beating, with mixed results :y:
