  1. If you are going to steal my photos, at least steal the best one :) All jokes aside, feel free to use my pics - they arent much good hidden from view :)
  2. Did it take much work to fit those Taz?
  3. I have a Cusco one on my race car and its a good thing. I sourced it from the same place RedKE30 mentioned. PM me if you want more details and I can organise free freight for you too :) Pic of it here:
  4. Your gearing would be massively out of whack with a 65 profile tyre on 15's too. If you put a 50 series low profile on you would gain back some acceleration. Changing the tyres, along with some negative camber would fix things nicely I imagine. You can buy adjustable camber tops to suit a KE30. They are made by Cusco (They label them for a TE37) and can be bought from a supplier in Adelaide. PM me if you want the details of the supplier.
  5. Looks great in the flesh!
  6. my pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/adamlaws1974/H...feat=directlink some great cars there today!
  7. The 2Tg too much for you in the wet?? :jamie: Sorry just being a smart ass :(
  8. I will be at the start point in a Commodore Ute or a Daihatsu Charade to come take some pics at the start point :jamie:
  9. Ah yes, the way to get good help from a community is to get fired up and angry at them. Welcome to rollaclub champ. Your attitude will see you go far. Reality is that a 1984 chassis in the USA may well be what we consider a 1983 or a 1985 Celica over here. Your model years work different to ours as far as I know. In 1983 I am pretty sure its a cross over year between the RA4* and RA6* chassis. Never mind, if you can weld and are good mechanically, you can fit that engine and gearbox to your Corolla. Given the abundance of performance parts for the 22R engine over there in the States, its probably not a bad thing to do, though they are still a truck motor.
  10. there was an ae71 wagon two weeks ago at centre rd. imagine its still there.
  11. Like parrot said in the other forum - what are the chassis codes for your Corolla and the Celica? I would hazard a guess and say the pedals won't fit. However the rest of it could probably be made to fit. How handy are you as a mechanic/fabricator?
  12. New seals are cheap from Thailand on ebay, and fit well in my experience.
  13. ae86drivingclub is a good source alternatively get them in yourself through yahoo japan - japanese ebay really - you can use www.importmonster.com.au to help you
  14. harden up kehendo, no more excuses! - we will see you at the start :jamie:
  15. Windscreens ASAP are good. 0414 737 939 Not sure they are cheap, but I know they are good. He will probably give you another number to call - that number is Matt who does almost exclusively race cars, his brother is the road car business, but I don't have his number. They will come to you.
  16. Just noticed talk of the otomoto kits - i used them on my race car and they are excellent.
  17. Yeah I read hail and storms :) I am coming to the start point to take photos but can;t follow on. Apparently girlfriends require some attention occasionally :jamie:
  18. Bugger :jamie:
  19. Cool car. Definitely go and make friends with Pete Robinson. He knows these old girls very well and will no doubt have a solution for you. He does know how to charge, but I have always found it to be a fair price for a good job done.
  20. 37 hours - Adelaide to Melbourne via Sydney maybe :jamie:
  21. I prefer centre caps on wheels. Don't know why people take them off all the time!
  22. Fender mirrors for sure. Square type ones like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOTA-KE61...sQ5fAccessories
  23. As RedKE30 said - the RT132/XT130 Corona strut/peugeot disc/hilux caliper is a pretty common upgrade. I have detailed my version of it in my race car thread. <snip: commercial advertising>
  24. Thanks for the offer :lolcry: I might take you up on it in 10 years or so hehe. I'd probably start with the Tour - non-competition and no cage required initally. http://www.targa.org.au/Competitors/Tour.html Interesting observation about the brakes! It was on the list anyways :lovin:
  25. No one understands the new project! Daihatsu Charade Detomaso - 92kw 1.6L engine, close ratio gearbox, LSD, factory recaro's, 800kg, factory body kit and road registered. Plan is that it will slowly evolve into a tarmac rally/race car. I'd like to do the Targa Tour (not the full targa - I am not a rich man!!) and the Corolla was just going to be too much work to get up to spec. Plus I like the idea of being able to drive to events rather than stuff about with trailers etc. They were a great car in the Aust Rally Championship - Rick Bates was regularly beating guys in Evo's and WRX's in them :lolcry: Photos of it are here - http://picasaweb.google.com/adamlaws1974/C...RacingUpgrades# As for the rear discs - no they won't be getting sold with the car. They are destined for my Celica restoration project that is ongoing at the moment.
