  1. Paint the steel rims either satin or gloss black and put on a set of chrome 13" trim rings :y:
  2. Just some quick scanned photos of the magazine....
  3. And make sure you a travel pass if your going through the Burnley tunnel. :fuzz:
  4. Ive got the same issue from Fast Fours, can believe its 10 years since July since Ive had that magazine, the standard of finish of that car really hasnt dated at all. Good to see its still getting recognised :y: The guys should do a reunion story - with the ice creams they were eating!
  5. Laurence Legend good stunt driver, have a recording from 5 years back on Guiness World Records when his going on two wheels with 10 people packed in the red ke70!
  6. That looks quite good that blue, only did 117000kms which explains the great condition. Just put some large floor mats down to cover the area, $10.00 from autobarn you can't go wrong.
  7. Transplanting the driveline fron the rt142 Corona is fiddley as with any conversion. I was reading a long time back elsewhere that the brake booster needs, or atleast master cylinder needs to be replaced as the brake line pipes which route out of it and along the firewall are different to those of a rt142 2.4 litre Corona, due to the inlet plenum being in such close vicinity to the master cylinder and its lines. Atleast with the rt142 parts car you'll get the disc brake rear end, is it solid axle or irs? fuel tank with efi pump and associated lines. Its a lot of work, but if its a nice car and a SR model which I fancy also then seriously consider it :y: :y: I'm sure theres more I missed on but it'll give you an idea.
  8. Whoa now this is really cooking! That blue is suits it to a Tee all the way. Beaut job on the front windscreen, and the Commodore seal on the rear looks cleaner in appearance anyway. So, so nice guys :y: :y:
  9. Wizard Windscreen is worth a ring, Mr Agius used him and he did a mighty job going by the pictures. Quoted me a good price on a windscreen for the ae92.
  10. That silver ke70 XX was ready to go when I saw it a month ago. Those cars certainly don't last over on the eastside. That Crown was in quite good condition when I last saw it, seems to be more original cars up that side of town which get donated unlike the stuff at Campbellfield pick a part. As Aguis mentioned, white slant front 84 model ke70. 117,000kms tidy car in general, Perfect condition, clean and leak free overflow bottle and hose is residing in my engine bay. Still has the complete air conditioning sysem in it. Down from it is another slanty front ke70, its been painted two tone which must've been someones project who gave up on it.
  11. Its a shame it got rear ended, but if its fixable thats the bright side :y: I'm guessing its not full comp insurance as theres no agreed value on the car. 2/3 for condition? If you bring the car in for the assessor to view you can then justify why its worth the 3/3 value by pointing out key qualities it has which I'm sure you'd know. Originality, tidyiness, general condition of inside, outside, underneath and mecahnical. It goes on, being an enthusiast should help your case. I had this issue with my old ae82, got rear ended by a Commodore making $3000 damage. At the time dad and I were determined to keep the car so when dad brought it in to the assessor he explained the good points of the car, work that was done presenting all reciepts etc, etc. Preety much saying it was a good car pre accident both mechanically and bodywise and was above average condition of the fleet of ae82 getting about. So keep your chin up, it may be frustrating but try to open their eyes. Ask them to find a wagon in the same or better condition :)
  12. Must have been a dealer option, despite it not being printed in the accessories catalouge. As this footage shows at 0.11, Demonstrator models. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-pZUMIo6FE&feature=related
  13. Okay, I thought it was manual for some reason. Anyway a tidy ke55 sedan Pick a part Campbellfield, this one is a manual 4 speed however. Cracked dash, preety good condition bolt on panels and very nice bone coloured vinyl seats. That was over a week since I last saw the car so things can change.
  14. Good cars always create a good start, Glad to see you bought it and your intentions on it sound good. That blue is very pleasent, I have the same shade blue in the ke70 however its got the full vinyl interior,, The exterior colour is one you don't see too often, its called Tumut blue. Its in good hands so things shall only get better :)
  15. Wow the panelvan looks straight as a die in the last pic, because it is :y:  Has come such a long way and the photos don't do it justice, colour looks awesome in the flesh. I still think those ke35 hubcaps would top it off with a bit of white wall around them. And goodluck with the L's test!
  16. Looks better already just by pulling off the door rubbers and badging, wheels fill it out nicely :y:
  17. Dan, I only managed two photos but couldnt help tweaking the colours to bring out the best in the Big Bad orange  Photobucket's taking ages to upload the other ke70/ae71 photos.
  18. /\/\/\/\/\ That is awesome how you did that, love it! P.m me your email address if you want to do my pics like that.
  19. Another point I forgot to mention Richard. The is an older gent who lives off Trist St who has been a motor trimmer for 50 yrs and he does a great job for a honest price. He did my bases in the front seats (replacing the vinyl panels and foam with fresh materials). And also my front door cars - replacing the backing with something firm and fresh. Luckily he still had a roll blue vinyl from Toyota! He operates from home so if you'd like his number feel free to pm me :y:
  20. Stu, was good having a chat with you yesterday seeing the blue thing. The build is going great, as Doogs and others have said do things in small portions so you can ensure its been done properly the first time! Once its done you'll attract the right attention, as this ad shows. Edit: Now I know why you that spare wheel well so perfect! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir5Ae4y14uk&feature=related
  21. Seeing the Big Bad Orange ke only made it more appealing with its character. You'll love this  , go to 0.14 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-pZUMIo6FE&feature=related
  22. Interested to see some pics Dan :) , I told Gary I saw you yesterday and you said the car ran like a clock back home, so he was glad. Also told its called Jesse. That made his day!
  23. You'd sell the a/c bracket and the additional pulley thats with the harmonic balancer, as the second pulley is generally used for supercharger upgrades... seen and heard that on here. These don't pop up that often. Or just sell the a/c as a whole package on here or elsewhere as some would buy it :y:
  24. The 1.6 and 5 speed t-50 with the 3.89 was around 2.9 or 3 thousand. Was like day and night in comparison from when it was an auto when driving on the open road. Brendan the ke70 sounded tough :y: :y: especially when you did the right hander and went up the hill.
  25. Hi Richard welcome to rollaclub :) I live in Greensborough, just off Grimshaw St. And in the past I have deal with a few businesses in that area. Give The Concord a go and see what surfaces, but pass through Clements Ave thats between the Watson Holden and Northern Motor group dealerships. On your right which is the first shop is Muffler Magic, deal with them for RWC's, exhausts and they are quite honest.. They could rig up a custom system for you with no trouble i'd say. Down the very end of Clements turn right head straight and turn left past the Nissan parts division and you'll see a little cluster of factories. In there is a panel beater/painter who is preety good with his work. My ae92 needed a dent pulled and he did a great job. When I went in to pick up my car was rubbing back/stripping one car by hand as thats his preference... but hes good. Name of his business is Karmichael Panels. Just some food for thought anyway :y:
