Well someone has been a busy boy and I like what I see, keep it up mate. :y: :y:

And for legalities its just not worth it, I hope it wouldnt happen to the beige ke in the photo strip either :glare: Being on red p's and a engine that has 6 pots is asking for a sting by :fuzz: . Put a 5k (1.5 litre) in with some tuned carbies, cam, extractors and a decent exhaust system. It'll be quiet, gutsy, cheap to get parts for and the police open your bonnet they'll assume its the standard in there. Keep the carbies or breathers etc closed to the amosphere or you get reemed for emissions and noise pollution. And no silly ride heights and vic police is nailing down, especially if you have an old car and red p's. Where in Melbourne do you live as I'm from Greensborough, should meet with some of us on a cruise somewhere

Hey Chris, what part of the east are you from? Pictures are a must! :y:

Well today was a nice but relaxing Sunday, first off to supercheap to buy a small pot of green and white paint to repaint my rear numberplate on the red 71'. Looks nice now  On another note, my white ke came from a Ken Morgan Toyota dealership so I have been screening Toyotas to find a rear numberplate frame and was lucky enough to see one up the road from me, so a quick door knock and chat and it was mine. Though the corona had a left door mirror missing, and I had a temporary corona one fitted to red which I took off once I got a proper 71' unit I gave that to the bloke as a thanks so it was all good. A pic of refreshing the letters and border..

Oh she puffed a bit, but when hard too :y:

Have you seen the car in uncle Buck Evan? your car resembled that when you kicked it in the pants heading off toward the city :laff: Good fun!

Spotted a clean green ke30 in the Preston? area, had standard plates EVE... Was reported as stolen on here at least two years ago. Oh and last night all these blokes making noise and smoke in these old Corollas :hmm: Looks familiar :P

Going by time of the post you put up, I'm assuming you didnt to pickies today. I went yesterday afternoon and there no ke70s in there. The beige/cream you're referring to was preety buggered too.
-
Saturday should be good though  You and Mr Baker will be there :poke:  :o Is Evan my stalker?

Hey Mr Gua Gua, At the moment I have the ke70 down as Ive been itching to drive the little 4k and good weather, but have the dash fasia and cluster out due to a electrical issue with the clock which needs to get fixed. When the clock was placed to direct power it worked, so it must be a disturbed wire somewhere :hmm: Well the autolec can do that  Tehn the bases on the ke front seats will be reupholdstered next :y: The AE71 needs to be initiated so Saturday seems appropriate  Ke70 and Ae71 = chalk and cheese, despite the ke70 having less get and go it is much more refined and very black tie to drive

Okay the ae71 got its service today and its all good, the rattle I mentioned earlier was realated to the right hand wheel bearing despite it being slightly loose. The problem was the brake pads :blinks: They were roadworthy but rather thin none the less, so the caliper was sloppy and rattly. With new pads and wheel bearings tightened theres no noise. Stating the obvious here, but it goes like $h@t off a shovel :fuzz:

Alright Mr Josh :fuzz: I think its because those shocks are maybe two years old :hmm: which is why its slightly higher , unfortunatley I didnt take any earlier pics however there was atleast 150+kgs in the boot of luggage, drinks, sleeping bags, and two large and heavy tool kits.... so she had a nice squat in the back wheter parked on the lawn or black top  It still didnt stop the rear tyres from spinning when going on lawn or gravelly inclines. If anything the extra weight held the car to the road better.
-
I did say she was short geared :P Seriously its a nice driver, got 7.5l/100km. :y: Which is preety good but could be better.
-
And myself, ke70 or ae71 :hmm:
-
The presentation and assembly on this car is thorough as I remember it on 86DC a while back. Value for money, just look after her and keep her straight :y:
-
My AE71 was previously an auto and I couldnt stand it :n: , so I can understand your dissatisfaction at a 1.3 and auto :glare: Like you said it bolt on stuff so it can easily be changed. What I'm highly impressed with is the body :y: :y:

Hey Paul, All went realy, really good. Started at Ringwood Park nears Daiseys Restaurant and worked our way up through Mt Dandy through the up and down twisties through to Emerald Sassafras and finishing up at Nar Nar Goon before heading home via Frankston thorugh the Gippy Highway... 300kms to just over 1/2 a tank of fuel. Short gears and plenty of torque make this a ball to drive  Okay for people who don't know my cousins and myself organise an annual Car Rally. And no its not the driving fast theme :fuzz: We organise groups of 10 or more (between 50-60 individuals) to work in groups to solve puzzles, questions and answers in order to move from town to the next. It takes a whole day to do it but extends into two days with accomodation and meals provided for the weekend. Being one of the hosts/organisers I didnt get a chance to take many pics, however this morning I go to when I began to head home. The white AE82 did the last rally this time last year, and ironically it was a day before the 12 month mark of the rally of 09'. Anyway the AE71 fianlly got initiated..... dust, dust more dust, flies, bugs. Pics don't do it justice. Oh and it clocked on 200,000km - serivice and carby time. Going through Leongatha toward Lang Lang.

I had the same curiousity a while back about the 1970 corolla, unfortunatley its a Corona RT something with the 12R engine. Pick a part typo.

Pictures Of Your Manual Keto Engine Bay
Ben-89 replied to chrisso's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Hey mate, here is a picture of my manual ke70 engine bay. This car has not been converted, however recently I converted my AE71 from auto to manual and it required a different speedo cable as the auto wouldnt slot into the manual transmission. You will most likely need a manual starter motor, as that was the case with my ae71.... If you bought a manual shell to stip at home, it'd be much easier because then you can pull all the manual bits off at once. -
I'm not having a dig, but am offering advice :) :y: I take it you were trying to kick it sideways in the wet, bog stock ke70s are preety tricky and understeery little things in the wet - especially when pushed hence what happened to your car. don't ruin a nice ke70 man, :n: luckily you didnt hit someone or injure yourself :fuzz: . Just hope you didnt bend or crack body mounts where the diff bolts to or panhard rod, as thats a heavy bit of kit to bend. How bad is the damage to the wheel arch behind the door? If you want to have fun, do it on private property where there are no curbs to hit. Or even better, buy a bangbox condition one and abuse it.

Zoidburg :P When I come down i'll pop the grill off for you and you can pull off the badge and we can give it good paint job. Its preety hard to find a grille with the inside supports unbroken, but there may be ways around it  P.M me about tomorrow if you want to do something in the morning.

Welcome mate, good to see another slanty/ke70 bloke on here. I remembering seeing this on 86 DC :hmm: Where abouts do you live mate, closeish to Epping and or Greensborough  Pics of interior and mighty 4k please!

He's name isnt Harvey by any chance? With the rollaclub thread title "homers ke17"

Hey Jimi, AUTO ke70 diff ratios are 4.3.1 . You'll want a 4.1.1 as what are found in MANUAL ke70's :y: p.s I the diff is from a sedan. Coils and links.
