  1. Sounds like not enough fuel pressure, got a guage on the reg?
  2. Yea, not too bad. Just wanna get the weber on at this point. Still having problems with the mixture screw winding itself out :bash: Once thats on I might do what Altezzaclub's done and chuck a O2 sensor in the extractors and see if we can get at least the carb tuned. That and get a proper exhaust on it. Stock exhaust systems been cut and shut at least 4 times..
  3. Cheers mate. Where did you see it? Was parked out front of the Deli for a while. Yea, 1/4 needs respraying. hopefully do it soon :)
  4. Looks like it faired pretty well for being flipped twice.
  5. I know for sure that most of the Early KE30's have one of their heater hoses coming off there. 3K bigports have a welsh plug there. I actually snapped the exact same bolt trying to take the plate off to replace the gasket. So your definatly not alone haha. EDIT: I'd get it welded up. Saves any possible issues in the future.

Spotted Sammy and his FXGT again at UPI.
  7. Ooooooohhhhhh helll yeah!
  8. Looks like a good base there! Do i spy a hydraulic clutch setup there too?
  9. Ah yea. Funny, i've only ever encountered this certain type on KE30/55 5spds...
  10. Not all of them have that style of end of them Jono.
  11. TKY-6036HD was the P/N of the Exedy Clutch i had in my KE30. Awesome Clutch. TKY-6036HDB is the button clutch variant. Assuming your running a 4K flywheel (180mm)
  12. If the old gearbox is taken straight out, the 5speed should slide right on in. Unless your changing the clutch aswell.
  13. 5K? Woohoo. Moar Skids.
  14. Any reputable workshop should be able to helicoil it. Take the Whole lot to a Radiator or TIG workshop and get the plate deleted altogether. Alloy plate welded in place. Should be able to do it all with the head still on.
  15. Yea, not too bad. Have an issue with the LH side that I'm gonna have to look into. I really should get these XT130 stuts with MX62 and RA60 brakes done. :hmm:
  16. Did the front pads Thursday night, cheers to Mick for supplying the parts. Still gotta put a thermostat in it yet, hopefully tomorrow. Took a friend for a ride in it last night and her reaction was unexpectedly good. Was amazed with how well it went for what it is. I'm happy with that, seeing as she drives a 300hp 347 stroker AU ute. :D
  17. Go for an unsprung brass button behind a stock 4k. Would be.......interesting. Either the friction or pressure plate could be buggered :hmm: Replace the lot. Just have a real good inspection of the flywheel too, depending on whats actually causing the problems.
  18. Sounds like a throwout bearing. Only part that really only comes into play (and hence shows its condition) when the clutch pedal is depressed. Best off replacing the lot. Gives you a good excuse to get a HD or puk clutch :P
  19. Evan, Not all the ends on the clutch cable are the sort where you can pop the end off. Remove the circlip on the firewall and disconnect the cable from the top of the clutch pedal. Then feed it back thru the hole towards the diff. Edit: Pretty much what the post above me says :bash:
  20. Hellllllooooo?
  21. Anything can be done. With enough cash, time and angle grinders ;)
  22. Go for the 5k. Still under the 1500cc cap at 1486cc ;)
  23. 99% are the same up to the collector. After that they change to suit the floor pan.
  24. KE30's weren't manufactured in Australia until late 77. What dash does it have?
