Ev, just grab the main leaf (with the eyes) Cut the eyes off and place it under the main leaf of the pack your using. If thats not enough, grab the 2nd leaf, cut it in a way so that it ends half way between the 2nd and 3rd leaf. Just be cautious of how much thread you have left on the center bolt. mightnt be able to add a 2nd extra leaf. We deal with half traction (anti tramp) leaves at work. Following on from what Andy43 said, thickening only the front half of the leaf pack, produces an almost 2 link style setup. The front half acts as a control arm whilst the rear is providing the suspension. Stock leaves are 6-7mm thick. I will be going new leaf packs, reversed eyes, extra leaf and an 8mm half traction leaf in the wagon. Just some food for thought for you guys playing with leaf sprung rear ends.

Yea, mighta been a mix up. Still waiting on a reply... Theres always that option of cutting it off and making a new section. Which is what i have done with this first set. Not using anything extra, just repositioning the bends. This modified set come up level with the gearbox crossmember. Figured i'd at least give people the option of having something that actually fits. As opposed to what i found... Cameron, Will get onto the gaskets once this extractor non-fitment is sorted :dance: CHEERS Ryan

Alright guys, NOT a good night. Decided to test fit these KE20-55 extractors. All fits well, up to the collector..... They have decided that the outlet is best suited in the trans tunnel......right in the middle :dance: Although with a small amount of work (10mins) They fit.....WELL! For those of you putting them into KE30-55's, I can modfiy them just the same, or leave them as is. Your choice And for those of you putting them into KE2x's I don't have anything to go by in ways of fitment, so will be left as is. I will be getting in touch with the manufacturers TONIGHT!

Yea. I really like their design, nice long collector too. Yes, they are bare metal. decided to get them all like that as the orange enamel they paint them just burns off. this way you can paint them whatever colour you want before they see any heat. Also good if people wanna get them HPC coated or something. No worries, will post pics up when its done. Got an engine sorted out and ready to go, not going to buy it if i get knocked back. Just gotta refine my application and send it in, then wait for the word. Looks like i'll be using tax money to get the rest of my paint supplies, brakes and suspension and maybe some interior bits ;)

Here is the 1st set of extractors to show up for the people that have ordered/ paid. Extractors are unpainted, Ready for your choice of heat proof paint. The orange enamel they were pictured with just burns off. Here are a set of gaskets that come with them. These are actually 3K-B items!! Plus a couple of stickers

cheers Si. I won't be painting the MDF, I have some 0.3mm alloy used for printing in the shed. Will be using it alloy side out ( other side etched white ) Bought some 2v 3mm LEDs with chrome bezels today. Put them in but didn't get them perfect so no new pics haha.

Thanks man. Did a bit of work today. Designed the new dash. Speedo on the left. Tach on the right. Fuel gauge on the far right LED's with a chrome bezel will be used for the warning, indicator etc lights. Indicators on the left and right. Hi-beam in the middle. then Charge, Hand Brake, Brakes and Alarm light below. Left to right. Amps, Volts, Water Temp, Oil Pressure. Then Oil Temp under the Oil Pressure. Had to change what gauges i use, for some reason i thought there were water pressure gauges available ;)

Run the crankcase under negative pressure (vacuum) like some of the V8 boys do.

The 3K in my KE25 had the same timing cover, just plugged up, none of the other piping.

Without seeing the size of the holes, its a bit hard. But maybe some fibreglass matting, resin and some of the really fine aluminium mesh they sell in paint shops and remake the section from fibreglass if you can.

I remember about 10months ago, Sims metal here in adelaide were offering me $90/tonne (9c/Kg) for a car body. Went elsewhere and got something like 14.5c/Kg. 80 something bucks for about 600kg. Might pay to have a look around.

2.7Lt. If i remember correctly. Or once it's in the car, remove the plug on the clutch fork side of the box, and fill it till it just starts to run out of the hole. Last time I did a K50 swap, we just used some 80w/90 manual gear oil.

Ahhk, i know of a few people that have done it and reckon not to trust 40yr old steel as a good conductor. Last time i did a battery in boot conversion, i just ran both cables into the engine bay. But as long as it works for you :lolcry:

Where did you earth the battery? A few people have had issuse when they earth it in the boot.

Front wheel bearings are easy to take the slop out of. But considering the age of the beast, i think it done bloody well!

Looking good so far. Can get away with almost everything bolt in.

I used to get about 550 out of a tank in my KE30. 4K, 3K head, std cam, std carb, extractors and 2" single muffler system.
