Matt has changed plans with his fuel setup, Now he is going to run an inline pump to feed a surge tank with a high pressure pump. Also today upgraded the feed and return lines.. Fuel system should be sorted again by the weekend.. He also cleaned and painted the kickpanels and the carpets are now sitting in the car ready to be cut to suit. I Fitted new high tensile bolts, nyloc nuts and spring washers to hold extractors on, Fitted O2 sensor, Mounted coil and half mounted washer bottle. Engine wiring harness has now been run inside the car, I have fitted the ECU relay and Circuit Open relay to control the fuel pump. Lower radiator mounts have been welded on and radiator now has been filled with water ready for next test run. Rear window has also been fitted.

WTF? Didn't you just fix the head gaskets?

It is honestly not worth doing, Toyota made it the way it is for a reason..

http://www.club4ag.com/technical_main.htm - All the wiring diagrams should be on there. Just need to wire in the MAP sensor I'd assume, Most of the other stuff should still be in the same spot..

Go the 32/36

1. Usually the airbox has an air temperature sensor, Depends on the motor where it is located.. 2. If you want it to be easy, just leave it in its standard position otherwise its going to be a complete pain in the arse to fabricate all the piping. If you wish to locate it somewhere else, Best off getting someone to fabricate the metal pipe to bend around to wherever it needs to go. could also try twincam.org or toymods.net to search for how they set up their pod filters..

Willing to help out if you need some wiring assistance.. that second picture is of a 7AFE isn't it?

Welcome to rollaclub, Car looks nice, Still running a K motor? Post up some more pics..

Think you will find most people prefer the 4AGE motors here, Injection is just so much easier to work with than screwing around with a carby. My honest opinion don't waste your time with a 4AFC if you want to thrash it around, Go the 4AGE and save yourself the worries..

Nice work, Is this your new car?

There are lots of threads with the information about EFI on K motors on this website, If you took your time and had a good read then I'm sure you will be able to come back to us with a more specific question. There are lots of different options to take when converting to EFI so it is no good asking us what is going to be the best way for you. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ne/K_Series/EFI I'll point you in the right direction, The FAQ is the bible here, Make good use of it ;)

No offence, but go and do some research, we will not hand you all the info on a silver spoon...

Today I finished, fitting the intake manifold bolting the throttle body on cold start injector line. Teddy, installed carpet underlay ran new fuel pump wire fitted brass connector on fuel line connecting the fuel filter fuel rail return line We then proceeded to install the engine wiring harness, Powered up the ECU and got spark happening, Powered up the fuel pump and proceeded to pour fuel out before the rail. Once fuel leak was fixed we tried to run it up and roughly set the timing, still didn't seem to want to fire up. No power at the injectors for some reason, Turns out it was a dodgy connection at a blade fuse. Then it still didn't seem to want to go, Teddy took #1 plug out and it had snapped in half.. Replaced it with an old plug and it seems to run quite nicely.. Bit of wiring to tidy up and install a circuit opening relay for the fuel pump and we should be able to take it for a drive around the yard..

Few things have been done over the past couple of weekends. Fitted new sparkplugs, New rotor button (Waiting on new distributer cap still), Fitted old leads. Filled motor with oil. Brake lines have all been fitted and brakes have been bled (Still needs handbrake cables fitted). Clutch has been bled. Heater hoses have been fitted, Lower radiator mounts have been positioned (Waiting to be welded in). Twinlight front resprayed black. Today I fitted the new starter motor wiring harness (Works good). Fitted alternator wiring harness (Still have to wire in the charge light / ignition / battery sense wires). Fabricated plate to cover up cold idle. Teddy fitted battery clamp and sprayed twinlight front edges silver. Might post some pictures up tomorrow..

Did they change the thermostat during the last service? I noticed when I went from a shitty aftermarket one to a genuine one mine runs a bit warmer. I'd be calling them to find out..

You can get an auto electrician to re-create a fusible link from nichrome wire..
-
Yeah, you can pay close to $1000 by the time you get the manifold/carbs/linkages/filters etc.. But its sooooo worth it for the sound..

Good source of info for you is the FAQ http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...n_Page#K_Series any more specific questions and we will try our best to help out :P

Congrats, You are now the new region leader!

Spotted certain blue KE70 screaming through aspley, You know who you are :P
-
If it is anything like KE70s, It should be under the lights and behind the bar. Surely you can get someone to press the horn and hear where it is to locate it?
-
If you want to stiffen the body you will want to seam weld it, Depends how serious you want to get..
