  5. Lucky I didn't go on the cruise on the weekend, Found out on the weekend that my alternator had shit itself again (When trying to jump start my sprinter). Turns out it was a dry solder joint on one of the stator leads. Ended up upgrading it yet again from 55A > 80A while I had it apart..

  10. Could also be a problem with the external regulator.. Get it checked out by an auto sparky..
  11. My twincarbs did this too, Found out the valves were not adjusted properly. Ended up with some burnt out valves, Had to get the head machined.. Also another part of the problem was a vacuum leak in-between the softmounts and the intake manifold/carbs..

  14. Was a bit wet out today but Teddy managed to take out 1st in class and 2nd outright in his KE70. Video of him doing 2 of the tests on youtube -

  17. New Hella lights went in on Saturday, Some slight modification needed to fit the inners. Accelerator cable is now back in place. Front wiring harness went in as well, also started cleaning up the air blower assembley.
  18. I carry a first aid kit in my car, Never know when you might need it but always hope you don't... Blanket is a good idea too.. Lucky you were there or it could have been a lot worse, Congrats :sob:

  20. Correct, The B+ connects to the battery post is (12V) the D+ is dynamo (charge light) External regulated alternators usually have a field wire that goes to the regulator (Rub it against the terminal it connects to and you can see the field flash of the field collapsing as a blue flash).

  23. Usually get about 400kms out of a tank in my KE70, Probably get more If I had it dyno tuned..
  24. We had a set of the earlier ones in a silver but they just didn't look the part, The newer style ones come up looking quite nice after a bit of a buff. I thought that a bit of black would help offset all the chrome that was going on the car too..
  25. Lights were imported from New Zealand by another forum member specifically for Matt to put on this car.. Bar mounts were sourced from New Zealand too.. Matt bought the new chrome bumpers from England..
