I think nick may have had some leftover from a 3K that he bought off ebay, Would have to confirm it with him though. He sold the head to some guy down south from memory so the rocker gear and pushrods may still be burried in the shed out the back..

Pretty sure my Hurricane extractors are 4-1, Never had a flat spot on acceleration and its perfectly drivable in day to day traffic..

Thanks to Tony (TRD) I now have a 4K electronic dizzy to put in, Will be going in tomorrow. May also try and get a set of custom leads made up on the weekend for it.

Its not that hard to convert a 4AGE to RWD, If you are mechanically handy it is not that bad. It is even easier if you are doing the conversion to an AE71/AE86 as its a pretty straight foward bolt in. That said there is a lot of effort that goes into modifying a car, But you can do it quite cheap if you want. You learn a lot of stuff on the way too, Nothing like getting your hands dirty..

Points are inside the distributer if you run the standard K motor dizzy. My car has the same problem at the moment but this time I'm going to fix it once and for all by putting in an electronic dizzy..

of course soapies suck, just be glad we've got past the 80's or they would stll be running around with mullets..

Or to test you could simply disconnect the vacuum line from the TVIS and block it off. The second runners in the TVIS are open until they have vacuum to close them (Controlled by the TVIS Vacuum Switching Valve). So if your VSV is disconnected/dead or has a problem then you may be experiencing similar problems to what you have described. On my 4AGE I'm just going to leave it disconnected, Matt (AKA Teddy) had his done the same and it still went like a shower of shit..

Yep, the starter motor will earth itself when you bolt it on..

You should have one main power wire that comes from the battery (The big heavy wire) and one for the solenoid (only need 2 in total). Easy way to find out is get a piece of wire from the positive side of the battery and tap it and see if it cranks and throws the starter gear up.. You should be able to use a test light / multimeter to see which wire is the starter solenoid 12v wire.. (You may find it benneficial in the long run to install a relay for the starter solenoid too, as others have experienced a problem cranking K motors over without one).
