  1. I THINK I've also seen them referred to as Mikuni(sp?) carbs as well. They were the Japanese SU copy.
  2. 1. Ported head will always flow better. 2. You wont blow up your motor if you use a sensible compression ratio. 3. They can handle straight unleaded anyway. They have hardened valve seals.
  3. I can't wait for the new engine either. Should go pretty hard once its done :jamie:
  4. they're a simple carb. easy enough to dismantle.
  5. There is no link on the website. you have to call them directly dude.
  6. HS4 SU carbs by the looks of it. (2 bolts to bolt it to a manifold) Lynxcorp have 5 K manifolds to suit SU carbs left. Only thing you'd wanna check is that the pistons havent locked. My carbs will be on their way on Monday :jamie:
  7. L/H Side 'A' PIllar and cowling and inside of L/H door. Inside of R/H door.
  8. w00t! Decided to borrow a digi-cam to show you people what I've been upto. The rust was getting worse with the car. So here is the half completed rust removal pics. I still have to get the roof done, a couple of spots next to the boot seal are coming through, the sill panels and a little in the rear quarters plus the guards along the bottom and the doors as well. Then it'll be time to save for my paint job while I'm building my motor for it. Front of the car and bonnet repairs (close up) R/h side 'A' pillar and cowling repairs (cowling had dents in it on both sides)
  9. What car did it come out of? What motor did they come off? If they're twin Aisan carbs, they're off early model KE15 sprinters with the 3K-B motor which was a little more powerful than your average 3K. I think they'd be alright on a stock 4k, and if you did some mods to the carbs, they should be fine for a slightly worked 4k i'd think.
  10. That sucks the wang then haha. Hope you get better soon Dave!

Its a strange strange phenomenon :jamie:
  12. I'll be there. Its in this thread Jordan. don't be lazy and actually read it all :jamie:
  13. It sucks that this car has been damaged so badly. I only saw it last week and it was in fine exterior condition. Damn them 4WD's! Nothing but a nuisance on the road.
  14. Thats good there. Now go dip his hands in some hydrochloric acid :jamie:
  15. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Did you change the inlet manifold gasket? Have you run a compression test? Thats about all I can suggest for now.
  16. I am led to believe that a 4AGE is non interference, so a GZE would be as well.
  17. Cam

Camtech do cams. I'm pretty sure they're in NSW too.
  18. don't know about Saturday still. Still gotta confirm it all.
  19. The centre should be interchangable, since they're both borg warner (i think).
  20. Dave is a slack bitch who wont get his car fixed. If he wants to go to Sydney he better move his arse! :)
  21. My sis had a 4 door Mark 2 as her first car. Damned if i could get it to slide. It was too grippy! I'd say that would have to have a cosworth conversion done to it. They make awesome rally cars too :)
  22. Interesting read so far. Reminds me of when i was 17 and rammed this dude's car.... long story. Not gonna bother here with it though. Just don't do anything to incriminate yourself Des.
  23. Needs to be lowered and to have the mud flaps removed. Then it'll be the shiz yo! :)
