  1. Very tidy. Trev has some competition in the 'clean department' now haha :)
  2. Thought I'd put up a pic of how it stands at the moment since I finally got it started and moved it today after fiddling around swapping over linkages etc to suit the KE25 accelerator cable.
  3. Come on dan, you're an expert. Shoulda been fixed by now. Chop chop!
  4. -Update- So I never removed the gearbox from the KE25 as I sourced a K50 from Valandor before he sold his KE70 and just swapped the extension housings over. I had decided that I'm going to fix the head gasket on the current motor, get another carb for it and get it back up and running so i can drive it as the panel van has drive train vibration like you wouldn't believe at the moment and the exhaust is rooted which is costing me a shitload in fuel and not allowing me to save up to get the parts I want off of Liam for the KE36 (not to mention my tax bill). So today I went to see a mate of mine and got a head gasket, inlet/exhaust manifold gasket and rocker cover gasket for the low sum of $20. The I went to my wrecker mate and got myself another carb for $35. So far a total sum of $55, but there will be oil, oil filter and coolant on top of that, so I'm expecting around $80-$90 total. As this motor is pretty well hammered, this is a temp fix until I can get the other K50 I have rebuilt and get a KE55 K50 extension housing for that box, so I can put that in with my 5K when that motor is ready. Will update this again when the head gasket is done, which will probably get done tomorrow and/or Sunday. Raven
  5. Ouch - $250 nasty nasty. I have spoken to Rory briefly before and your car will also had to undergo a torsional strength test and lane change test once done which will require you to probably hire out Adelaide International Raceway to have the lane change test performed. Lets put it this way. Its gonna be costly.
  6. yup yup. He's a top guy, so ask lots of questions. He'll pop it up on his hoist and give you a quote too. I'm glad to see you're actually going to get the rust fixed as most people will just strip a car for parts once they find chassis rust, but these KE25's are getting thinner on the ground as you don't see too many of them these days. So good work champ. :) Let us know how you go and what he quoted you. He might remember my car if you tell him about the yellow KE25 that he fixed last year with rust in both rails and under the battery tray.
  7. Yep I had the coupe done by SA Chassis & Suspension as I had rust on both rails plus under the battery tray. Cost me $660 all up and its all regency approved and was strengthened to handle a turbo conversion later on and he even rust protected my radiator support panel for me. 8. I think we'll hit the studio to record an EP in about a month or so's time. :)
  9. Yep, you will have to get it re-engineered down here as SA's state laws are different to QLD's state laws. Will need a cable operated handbrake as wellas thats how the car came from the factory. They don't call it a park brake for nothing :)
  10. Your best bet is Rory Thompson. His workshop is now in Salisbury South, so call his mobile number, find out where he is and go have a chat (though it will cost you money but not sure how much). Cheers Raven
  11. Fitting a later model motor requires you to meet the emissions of the year that that motor was produced. Best bet is to speak to an engineer. I'll pop up a list of engineers in my next post.
  12. hot pink with black dots :)
  13. You mean Lordi? Um, no lol
  14. He could resort to pedal power
  15. Lol, funny bastard. I hope he's a quiet kid and you actually get to sleep at night Clintoris
  16. Cheers dude. Soon enough we'll have some decent recordings with my second guitarist included in the mix. Me an him are full on into euro metal so it has the melody as well as the chunky rhythms
  17. My soley use it for networking for my band to organise shows and keep in touch with friends. The Ascension Process <--- Link to my bands page.
  18. Then it will go from having a cold to having a chest infection, right Lesley?

Just Wrecking Toyota's arent too bad either. They have shelf upon shelf of parts.
  21. About 6 years ago, my neigbours across the road heard a noise outside. They cam over to ask if we heard anything then we said no, why? Had a look across the road and their Fiat Niki was sitting on its side on their front lawn. It was parked on the side of the road. Car ended up being a write-off after that cos we never saw it again.
  22. That is what a 265 is, cept its not straight, it sits on a slant like a K motor :) henceforth they are known as the Slant 6 motor
  23. Well, if your engine packed it, you could always do a 3SGTE conversion :)
  24. Wrong car forum for this since we're all toyota nuts here BUT since you asked so nicely... There should be two wires from your starter (well, there is on a toyota) one is a control wire from the ignition (thats the spade terminal) the other is the postive wire from the battery (terminal with a nut on it). So hook them up like that. Thick gauge wire from battery to the solenoid goes on the nut terminal (should be a positive). Small control wire from the ignition goes onto the spade terminal. The starter motor earths to ground via being bolted to the gearbox/motor (on a Toyota K motor it does). A bigger pic would help though. Cheers Raven
