  1. One of my mates told me if you want to soften your tyres soak them in brake fluid. I have no idea how credible this information is.
  2. Thats a quick corolla auto good stuff. makes me want to get one as a daily haha
  3. So I'll put the pics of my fuel setup, it does the job, it is a little noisy but its not too bad. I should of probably took the tank out and modified it with an intank pump idealy but I wasn't thinking that far ahead I thought what everyone does to the sedans would do the job, and it does. Thanks to redae71 for helping me out, and the others that replied to my thread and offered, some of you were to far away. So I have an oil leak :) Its coming from between the gearbox bellhousing and the motor. First thing that comes to mind - rear main seal. I already replaced it with a brand new one from burson before I put the motor in. I have no idea why I have leaks in that area, originally I thought it was gearbox oil because to say it in the nicest way my gbox is F***ed but it apears to be engine oil. I get oil build up right underneath where I have my hand, i have already wiped it off. I checked my oil the other day just after I had run it and the level was almost on low, I put it straight onto flat ground after that and it was half way, then I get it home in the shed on flat ground and check it the next day and it looks like this - absolutly fine, how I had it filled. ???? I mean I know checking the engine straight after its running is stupid because the oil is still seeping down into the sump again but still I'm a little confused.
  4. looks awesome mate, keep up the good work i like the rims.
  5. More pictures of the new paint job the bodywork was opposite of straight, but my camera wasn't working when we did that bodywork unfortunatly so there are only pics of the paint job I choose chrome yellow, for 2 reasons 1. it looks awesome, very very bright 2. I couldn't be bothered pulling the motor back out to do the engine bay and also doing the interior
  6. ok well let me explain that dyno a little more and I'll put all my pics of the new paintjob up tonight, and the fuel system. yes at the wheels on the dyno with the sexy stock wheels :P Other than the ems, that was a stock as a rock smallport 4age in rwd with a cut n shut inlet and the throttle body was hitting on the bracket thing and so the throttle was only opening about 75%. Only other things to note was f***ing expensive spark plugs because its all super cheap had, apparently they are meant to last 5 years their are some good bosche ones.' oh and 1 external vl pump at the time, ill post the new system redae71 helped me out with
  7. Hay all, This is my dyno sheet for my pano, Stock 4age 16 valve smallport done well over 200,000 EMS ecu 1 external fuel pump as my fuel system, has been upgraded since. funny thing too is that my throttle kept hitting on the holder bracket because of the cut and shut inlet and the throttle only opened about 75% probably got a crap tune now I've fixed that
  8. Thanks mate, heres some more, So engine was in and I got someone else to hook up an ems ecu for me. The fuel system at that stage consisted of 1 external fuel pump bosche 040. Pretty crap I know, was pretty happy with the dyno figure, stock smallport 16valve. still more pictures to come, as you can see by my signature the car has new paint now, just collecting all the pics from last couple of years.
  9. Hi everyone, This is my KE70 Panel Van. I bought it two years ago knowing a little about cars, I saw a picture of it and it was exactly what my dad used to drive for many years, actually his was an AE71 pano but same same. Me and my mates used to meet up during the week and just stuff around with our cars because we had too much time on our hands. They convinced me to do the engine conversion. $600 for the Panno. The tailgate was completely full of rust, me and my mate ABSOLUTELY WINGED fixing the rust and it looks amazing, I wish I had a before and after, I still don't have an after because I always forget to take a picture of the tailgate. The passenger door handle was stuffed, the drivers side window wouldn't go up and many other surprises. The biggest surprise was that I found out only a few weeks ago by the guy doing the bodywork on the car that the car had had professional rust repairs around the back windows at some stage, never would of known. Front chrome bar full of rust and still is. Ugly roof racks and Ugly spotties. This is how it started: Close call in a storm 2 words - THE BEAST Its funny how the camera actually makes the paint job on the car look alright, the original baked enamel job was absolute shit when I got it. Then came along the smallport 4age from the wreckers, along with every single other conversion part from the same wreckers, was a goldmine I've been back there since and its a ghost town for parts. Pedal box wasnt fun my mate peter in the background, he did shitloads of work on the car, if not most of it cut n shut inlet fits nice ill post the rest soon.
  10. Those rips in the seats are pretty nuts, So where to start?
  11. I didn't want to bump this to the top but people keep pming me, I got it setup so It's all done now. Thanks guys I can't figure out how to change edit the name of the topic to please delete either ;)
  12. pretty certain it has been done, there is a guy with a ke70 panno from melbourne I think that drifts and he has done it, I remember seeing his car for sale for a ridiculously low price but no one would buy it. Not sure of the difficulty of it though, I would imagine it would be a bit of work. Oh and on the front page of rolla club "Ice drifting from norway" that fella has got in his thread "changing from rear leaf springs to 4link with panhard rod and coilovers on an AE86 T series axle" he might know some things
  13. Hi everyone, I have done my ke70 4age conversion and want to upgrade my fuel setup but I'm not to good with fuel related stuff. I didn't setup the fuel system for my conversion. Currently I just have 1 external fuel pump after the tank and the car runs pretty average, it might be a bit starved of fuel. So I need someone who would like to come by my place and help me setup a surge tank and lift pump or whatever is needed. It would have to be on the weekend, and I haven't bought anything yet so I still need to sus out what to buy. I live in brisbane, Give me a pm or reply to this and we'll sort out some cash for the job.
  14. OK guys so I FINALLY understand now. Three lines from the engine bay to the tank From Factory: the 4k is a carby motor therefore it sucks fuel up and very little fuel gets returned to the tank, so the return line is the smaller of the three. And one of the bigger lines is actually the breather/cannister line. Going fuel injected we want to change this and make the return line one of the bigger lines and the smaller one can be the breather/cannister. So KE70 dave you were suggesting to chnage the piping back near the tank so the return line is the bigger line correct?
  15. hay guys thanks for the reply's their realy helpfully, gonna sus it all out soon. I just have 1 bosche fuel pump. think I figured it out, so from top to bottom in the engine bay on left hand side from tank back to tank breather but I hooked it up wrong, I have the bottom one (the breather) as the fuel return and the back to tank line is acting as the breather, and because it is submerged, thats where the petrol is leaking from.
  16. Hi everyone. I have my ke70 pano with a 4age in it and it has been working fine for weeks, only now have I realised when I sit it on a hill petrol leaks out. I havn't hooked a carbon cannister to the engine for a few different reasons, the main one being I don't know properly how to hook it up so I couldn't be bothered. So I have the fuel lines that come up to the engine bay on the left side, one is hooked into up near the inlet manifold and the other, goes no where. I never hooked it up and have only just realised fuel leaks from it when I'm parked down a hill. It obviously comes direct from the fuel tank and I would assume the carbon cannister outlet goes to the line and the fumes from the cannister go back into the tank. Is this line able to be plugged off and not used or is this a Breather for the tank? do ke70's have sufficient breathers up near the tank area? If this is a breather from the tank I better not cap it off. Theres some pictures of what I have temporarily capped off, but I havn't been driving the car. THanks in advance for the help.
  17. hay mate thanks for the info, just edited my post realised they were in victoria :no2:
  18. I don't know what your budget is but put the 16 valve in with an aftermarket computer (ems, haltech or something) and then if you don't like it sell the 16valve and upgrade.
  19. ok so their is a plug on the top left of the engine bay which I get a reading from with the multimeter when i put the key to start. The following pictures is of the box that was located near the battery and plugged into a few things down there. So i'm assuming that box connects a few things together. Forgive me as I'm fully noob at wiring, the ems was wired by someone else. thanks http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq58/bl...ok/IMG_0484.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq58/bl...ok/IMG_0485.jpg
  20. I'm trying to imagine what "lamp wiring diagram" would include, if you don't mind scanning that would be helpful. I'll take a few pics of what I'm stuck on. thanks
  21. Hi, I have been looking through the knowledgebase/faq section and I thought I had found exacly what I needed, the KE70 chassis electrical system link, but it is broken and seems it has been for a while. I have just done the 4age into ke70 and it is running an EMS computer and wiring. the car starts and was run up on a dyno, I can't figure out the very last piece of wiring, the car starts by a switch but now I just need to wire it into the car, which will allow the ignition from the key and front and back lights to work etc. Does anyone have the pdf file missing from the faq they can email me or does anyone want to help me out finishing the wiring for some cash, i live in brisbane Thanks
  22. I don't personally like the look of ae92 and 93's, but I really like your car :y: Not a big fan of the window visor/shade things but. Good Work
  23. dude ur engine bay is clean as, makes my 4age look like scum haha
  24. haha nice, yah that's exacly what I have the small port. I have just done the conversion, well most of it :P It still isn't quiet running but just a few bits of wiring. I know all the little extras you have to do for the smallport, cut n shut inlet, remote thermostat, spigot bearings, if you get stumped I might know along with half of the other people on the rollaclub.
