  1. I hate People such as yourself. What sort of an argument is that?
  2. Don't buy the flexible head ones. When they wear they flop around, the lock gets stuck on, or they break altogether. Just get the normal head lever type ones, they're the best.
  3. Hey mate, Thanks for the kind words. You don't really need to get a seperate licence, but when you do the test you choose either auto or manual. If you choose manual it covers both auto and manual. Cheers, Sian
  4. Well I've been a bit slack lately. Haven't done as much as I'd like to have on the old girl. Looks like the plans have changed a bit for now. Going to get the car roadworthy so I can learn manual (yes I only have auto P's because I was slack), and then do the conversion later. Gave the car a service the other day, new plugs, leads and fuel/air/oil filters, replaced a few globes. Fixed up the starting problem by installing a fuse holder in the starter solenoid relay, instead of the terrible wiring that was there. Sat there cranking it but it wouldn't start, so we sprayed some degreaser down the carby and that got her going . Installed a new battery brace made from right angled steel, and made a brand new earth cable to the battery. I was pulling my wiper motor out yesterday to pull it apart and see if I can get it moving faster, and tried to pull my washer bottle out because it was in the way but put my finger through it. So now I need to replace that along with the amazingly hard 30 year old washer lines and brittle connectors. Shouldn't need too much more for roadworthy now, just check the brakes and get a new front apron. Hopefully it'll be on the road soon, but now I have to save for rego because it ran out today...it never ends.
  5. Man thats awesome, $2500 for a corolla carrier. So handy. Seems like a sensible way to go, much better than a trailer.
  6. Hey mate, Welcome to the club. Good to see you repping for the Irish. That red/black AE86 is tough. What's it got done to it? Cheers, Sian
  7. I'm about to start an apprenticeship at Toyota in Chadstone on Monday. Is there anyone else on here who works there by any chance?
  8. My dad spotted a KE30 coupe?, dark blue (colourblind) on City Road in Southbank @ 7.45am this morning. Looks good in the picture he sent me, anyone own it?
  9. Hunters & Collectors - True Tears of Joy Rep for the Aussie classics
  10. Yes, not the best idea. I'd say you won't get any help from this forum.
  11. Won't be making the drive mate, but good luck anyway, I know my school used to compete in this (not sure if they still do). Cheers, Sian
  12. That was actually pretty awesome, pitty about the back bumper. Such a sexy car.
  13. Sorry, it was night time.
  14. Also spotted a mustard? (I think) KE30, loud exhaust, doing laps down north road, between 10.15-45. Also spotted the same car on murrumbeena road (I was in dalny road) a bit earlier. The car seemed to have a bit of get up and go about it.
  15. Spotted a blue KE30, low, with stockies. Looked as though it had some rust taken out of it. Parked on the side of Murrumbeena road, Murrumbeena.
  16. Toll is a shipping company. http://www.toll.com.au/ I think they may only do the asian region.
  17. Try a self serve wreckers?
  18. Would be interested to see yours JiP, which car is it on? I was also thinking of getting one.
  19. My KE30 has solex locks, they are shit. Someone tried to break into it before I bought the car, and broke of of the solex's. The keys break and get stuck in the locks. They're not worth it. Cheers, Sian
  20. Yea I didn't really agree with that either as my car matched none of those. From what you say my 30 is a CS, it makes much more sense now. Thanks JiP. I think A/C is quite rare in 30's, a little more common in the 55's. Cheers Sian
  21. Just different interior I believe. I read it around here somewhere, I'll try to dig it up for you. EDIT: Not sure if this is correct as my car doesn't match any of these, but it is something like this.
  22. Are you KIDDING? The KE series look better than any other corolla series. As mention before you should be very careful ridiculing "old early ugly corollas" as the owners of afore-mentioned corollas make up most of this club.
