  1. lmao...
  2. Get it done properly, its hard metal. I'm not sure exactly how much you want to take off, but definetly get it done. I had both axels stuck in a perfectly good jap KE20 diff because the ends burred from rubbing on the pinion. They were KE30 jap axels.
  3. Bah, to make matters worse, windows shit itself (non-virus related, not gonna go into it here). Now 100% Linux (Slackware 10.2). f@$k you Mr Gates
  4. Just found another bit of code. Should be gone now. I'll try and help out with AE86DC when I get home, they got hit alot harder than we did.
  5. Should be all fixed now, let us know if youre still getting warnings after clearing your browsers cache. Pictures arent showing up because we upgraded the board version and still need to move the images folder across. No need to upload your avatar again, it'll get overwritten....
  6. Well there is over half a meg of photos there...for people on dialup thats like 3-4 minutes worth. And unfortunatly for some broadband isnt a viable option.
  7. me likey bling ;)
  8. I was thinking like :fruity: or :puhlease:
  9. The topic you posted in was quite old. If in doubt, make a new topic.... Doesnt cost anything ;)
  10. brap brap ;) Love it!!!
  11. Split from another topic
  12. Any preferences to the trigger word??
  13. The old "high positive offset is FWD" comment is such a bad generalisation. My silvia takes 17x9s +43 offset on the rear and 17x7.5 +38 offset on the front. The rims are most certainly not FWD rims and they do fill the guards. Also don't forget about backspacing measurement. IMO offset is less important that backspacing. A 15x6 +20 offset might fit the front of a corolla, but a 15x8 +20 offset most certainly wont. So for an offset measurement to be of any use it needs to be provided with a rim width measurement. The correct way to measure width is bead to bead not outside to outside so remember to factor a little bit of margin for this. For example my 17x9s are 9 inches wide and 17 inches diameter bead to bead. However, outside to outside theyre 10 inches wide and 18 inches diameter.
  14. Holy thread resurrection batman
  15. So much fiction flying around ;) From what I can see hurricane youve done nothing but regurgitate bad information and sound like you know nothing about the subject what-so-ever. The engine was built to beat the Datsun Sunnys in japan that were at the time absolutley dominating their racing class. It was run in a Toyota Starlet (KP40) in late 1973-on with the car weighing in at 717kg. The engine capacity was increased to 1293cc, Nippon-denso mechanical fuel injection, slide throttles, dry sump system and the DOHC 8 valve head. The power output was 180ps @ 9500rpm with torque measuring 101lb/ft. And yes they won, coming in 1st & 2nd :jamie: in the debut race From what I can gather that particular engine (which would appear to be a slightly later model) is in a museum in Japan and has never been For Sale. Anyone who is trying to sell it is scamming you.
  16. While Ive never personally compared them I think theres a slight change in the positioning of the input shaft. Someone like Demuire whos used both boxes behind an A series (there were problems with the celica T50s if I remember correctly) will be able to comment with more detail.
  17. T motors use T series gearboxes i.e. T40, T50, but off celicas etc not AE series RWD corollas
  18. I'm surprised we've not had letters from the council about complaints. At one stage I had 3 cars lined up on the street. I'm forever working on my cars. Hell the people over the road were having people look through the house and I was working on my car revving it a bit....they still bought the house! The neighbour down the hill comes up to have a look and lend advice when ever he hears I'm working on a car. The only time Ive had "problems" was when a guy up the road had his father over doing some work on his garden. I drove up the road with a little bit of boost and he gave me a very dirty look.
  19. Amen to that brother...
  20. As per the Rollaclub rules: So...Please don't post any more for sale items in the region forums. Tasmania is BY FAR the worst offender. I understand that some of you can't/wont/don't freight items, and theres no problems with this, but please keep it in the for sale forums.
  21. Grab a hydraulic PTO off a digger or something. Hook up a valve to control the load and an oil cooler to stop things getting real hot, real fast and away you go. Variable load dyno :)
  22. Full words please, its not a phone and we don't charge by the letter! :)
  23. haha Teddy just reads it how he wants it to be read. TE27s are sexy. Thats not to say TE72s don't have their charm. I think your main concern would be with the gearbox bellhousing. Youre going to be breaking alot of ground and at the end of the day I think you`d be happier with a 20v 4A-GE or something along those lines. I see alot of people trying to do engine conversions just because theyve got easy access to a particular engine. This IMO is not the way to do engine conversions. Ive tried to plan them like that myself but they never eventuate. On the other hand I planned my Silvias conversion, looked at a few engine options (CA18DET, SR20, RB20, RB25) and chose the one that best suited my wants and needs and not because I could pick one up easily (infact I think it took me a while to find the engine I wanted).
  24. or does The Wedge not know the meaning of NEW f@$kING MATERIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
