depends on the mix ratio but 4 or 5 years for red coolant off the shelf at autobarn, and its about the same for the toyota stuff. well, the toyota stuff ive seen on the shelf at the sevice place. ill wait for teddy with the cold hard facts on the toyota goodness.

the overcast skies probably don't show the paint to its best advantage have you considered something like the corolla stickers down the length of the bottom of the doors that some have. i think jip 01 has it? ive seen a few around, it may be what you need? cheers

i think u need a new colour...then it wouldnt be so overwhelming, its only a little car, it shouldnt need to be broken up, good body lines a nice colour should be enough. stripes never do it for me, sorry

if you wish to do it the legal way, you can mounts made by and engineer and get them approved. or buy an approved seat with approved rails and then get that engineered. there is always a way to do things properly :)

soda blasting may be the bet, not sure if its rough enough to strip the shit off, but sand blasting would be too harsh. then just a good polish and a protective coat. if not, medicine man painted his. looked very good, but he did it properly. most people do it out of a rattle can and in 6 months its f@$ked and looks worse than it started and is just harder to get back to a nice standard

why the hydraulic handbrake? where did you get the cage? and how much did it set you back if i may ask? I'm assuming its bolt in seeings as the cancer is quite well spread in the car? or did u go weld in and you plan on resurrecting her? got any pics of cage? cheers, andrew
