As for the gearbox the 4 speed will bolt up fine

Holy s%$& dude go back to the shop and demand an explanation if your not happy with it. 3 weeks is bullshit! and the over spray/watermarks/oil mark is just unprofessional and slack to say the least. 44rwhp and top speed of 127km/hr for a 5k? Don't let them shit on you go back tomorrow.

Mr2 seats look great man, keen to see some flicks of your new control arms. Cheers, Crowie.

Tried my hand at polishing today. Even polished a pair of Chillin's wheels up while he was at work, came up an absolute treat. I'm a very very happy man today considering the shops wanted in excess of $100 per wheel to do. Cheers, Crowie.

So this is why you've been laying low? That thing is hot!

Keen as a bean! Not too bothered where the meet is I just want to go cruising. Hopefully get my new rims this week so I'll be ready to roll by the weekend. Also welcome back Reed?

Do you have a dash mat?
-
Thanks dude :y: Hmmm maybe I need to baste it in Armour all it a few times before installing. Let it absorb some good stuff and keep it lathered up while under my dash mat. Hopefully that will do the trick  Cheers, Crowie.

Updates: Just ordered a nice Nardi wood grain wheel that has been sanded and polished with a darker coat of lacquer/stain added as you can see, something a little different to the norm. I'd also better get around to install the perfect condition dash pad too, bloody thing has been sitting in my cupboard for 8 months. Also undecided on weather to paint the dash fascia a similar black to the dash itself while I have it all apart :hmm: Enjoy, Crowie.

Installed the Sigma lca's and AJPS rca's on the weekend the lca's have increased my track a fair bit, the top lip of my 6's now stick out the top of my guard while the bottom stick out a little more. Just got a wheel alignment done and the camber was recorded at -1.9 degrees  . The rca's have almost eliminated any bump steer which is great. All in all I'm very with both of the products. Cheers, Crowie

Yes there are, you can also get alarms that send an alert to your key chain that vibrates and rings like a mobile phone. Very handy bit of gear.

No point changing the discs over unless yours are warped or heavily worn, the ke36 and ke70 discs are the same so just change over the caliper/pads and you should be right. Cheers, Crowie

Going on 2 years with mine atm, I'm knuckling down and staying out of the water until it has healed now, it is one of the conditions of entry to my new job that it is all healed before I get shipped off. What is it like after it heals do you have to take extra care or is it back to normal?

I was referred to the same ENT specialist last year as the two courses of ear drops and pills weren't working on my ear. I got There and he placed his little telescope in my ear and shoved a camera up my nose all the way to my inner ear(not nice) and said he could not see anything. I explained to him that I had a perforated ear drum, I explained all the symptoms and how i could feel the leak and how liquid would move through the hole. I asked him to take another look he refused and told me to come back after I went and paid for a hearing test and make another appointment with him. $160 fee down the drain and to be told to get a hearing test then pay another $160 to see him again to be told who knows what. Needless to say I just forgot about fixing the issue partly because I was unemployed and broke and partly because I was furious with the service. Fast forward 1 year to now, I still have the perforated ear drum and I have been referred to him again for clearance/treatment for a job in the Defence force. I know I am stupid for not fixing it but at the time it really was the least of my worries. Now it has come back to bite me on the ass and wallet big time! Moral of the story/what I've learnt: Do it once do it right! Who cares about the cost. Specialists are still legalized thieves. ps. Yes I am an idiot, yes I am mad and yes it was a cool story bro. /Rant

WGMG: Going to my wheel modification guy and finding he has moved shop... but doesn't say where to and is unavailable for the week. The rim lips I ordered should have been in a week ago but still no call. Oh and specialists! $160 fee right off the bat. Have to wait 1-2 months to see two of them so they can tell me things I already know.

All my jealousy! You sir are one lucky man please look after the old girl. Cheers Crowie.

I just ditched all car work this week too as I had an important interview. Leave the car and focus on your studies dude, forget about the show or rock up stock if you have/want to go. Although it'll be well worth waiting till the next show to get the car 110% ready, no point whoring something you're not happy with. :y: Cheers, Crowie.

Like Teddy said before; nothing I can add to this topic although I'm very interested and impressed with everything posted thus far good work lads :y:

Installed the new capet and straightened up the silvia seats over the weekend to break up the monotonous study. I was hoping to get the helper springs, sigma lca's and rca's in but unfortunatly the rca's still haven't showed up yet. Anyways the carpet fitted quite well although it was tedious work cutting the holes for the seat mounts ect it was well worth it. Looks great so I'm happy. Cheers, Crowie.

I hope you tested this car coming down from Beechmont towards Nerang or Beaudesert. Both are great roads to "test drive" a car. Always liked this shape too haven't seen one in that condition for a while. Good luck with it. :y:

Did he specifically tell you to replace your brake pads/shoes? I always thought the braking percentage was a reflection of the braking force in relation to the weight of the car. Can you bring the car to a complete stop reasonably quick with your big toe pressing on your brake pedal? Or do you have to press relatively firmly on a hard pedal to stop? You may need more pressure/force check your master cylinder and booster. May also be wise to call your mechanic again and ask him exactly what he wanted fixed.
