I just got rid of my truck thats why I'm building this trailer. Thats one sweet truck there, Old bedford? Sure is a head turner compared to my dad's dyna's ;) Quote

trav_555 Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 whoah now that is a car!!! sucks about not being able to flip it over, I'm sure that if you made it out of aluminium with gal steel inside it, it would have been enough, seems a bit over kill to me, but who knows my dad makes boats and trailers, i can ask him stuff about his trailer designs if you like ;) Quote

I have maybe 4 hours work left tomorrow , draw-bar , hitch plate and fit hitch, chains, light conduit to rear, and painting underside. before I'm ready to flip. The earthmoving company I work for is only 50 meters down the road from my workshop. so i will just borrow a loader or backhoe for 10 min job done. Quote

JiP Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Take the axles off and flip it. Then jack it up so you can put them back on. Quote

Johno Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Its coming along very nicely. I would go longer ramps, ever tried getting a lowered car on a short ramp? Also what about foot stands? Lets just say you drive your car on the ramp, wouldnt the trailer tip? 10/10 job mate, keep it up! ;) Quote

I try and get someone to hold the brake pedal down in my Ute so the front brakes hold it. at least with this trailer i can pull the breakaway pin before i load and its not going anywhere. Quote
