chithead Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 I had to join this forum, just to say, I LOVE this build! Kudos to you for doing almost exactly what I'm hoping to do with my 1979 KE30. Very good craftsmanship and attention to detail! Quote
supra2 Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 Thanks Daniel. What will your 30 be used for? Rear towers being fabricated. Quote
chithead Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 I bought mine as intentions to be a daily driver, then decided to do a "RestoMod" with a V8 and more modern suspension, and all that jazz. But now I have some major plans in my head for a complete renovation underneath, and you are definitely an inspiration for that. Quote
TOMMYS Ke 11 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Hi there Craig you havent been on for a while! i thought you may have finished it and gone rallying in it at the rate you have been working (HAHA LOL) any way great to see you back and keep the great work up and the PHOTOS as we all like pics.Looking forward to seeing the finished project and hearing how well it performs for you. supra2 Posted April 12, 2013 Author Report Posted April 12, 2013 Thanks for the kind words Stuart. Work has been so busy that I havent been able to follow my own advise of doing one thing every day. Not far off seeing some major progress now. Quote
supra2 Posted April 13, 2013 Author Report Posted April 13, 2013 Rear towers finished and new tank mounts done. Quote
corollaart Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Fug me you are crazy sob. How you no all this stuff you do?? keep it up rob Quote
ausca62 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Craig.........................What can I say. I am inspired. I am going to get off my ass, get back out in the shed and start work. I have 2 race cars in the shed and both are in bit's. Thanks for the motivation. Your workmanship is a credit to you, keep it up. Cheers. Paul. Quote
supra2 Posted April 14, 2013 Author Report Posted April 14, 2013 Thanks Rob. I ran this stuff in a Celica and then a Supra for a few years and found how to get best from it. Its all spare stuff Ive had laying around, so its getting used up. Just years of practice I guess. Cheers for the compliment Paul. What race cars do you have and where do you race? Started on the custom bell housing to connect a 2RZ engine to a t56 6 speed tremec magnum. Quote
supra2 Posted April 16, 2013 Author Report Posted April 16, 2013 Gearbox side of the bell housing is started. Quote
trd Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 You have far too much time on your hands Craig :ban: Quote
supra2 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Report Posted April 17, 2013 Hi Tony. Talk about Sods Law. Last year when there were plenty of events on, I had no car ready. This year I have a car ready to go and another on the way, but no where to race. My last proper rally was 18 months ago and it seems Ive been working on rally cars ever since. Ratio seems about right. For a speed rush, skydiving looks so much easier. Bit more done on the bell housing. Quote
trd Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Thought you would put a AZ6 behind this one. Straight bolt in Quote
