Hey, thought i'd upload some pics of a project that i've started. I bought the car from a mate for $400 and it didn't start when i first went to pick it up cause of a dodgey starter motor, they got it rebuilt and started first turn of the key. Had some exhaust noise and economy wasn't that great, so about 30 bucks later it was running sweet. During the whole time though it had an oil leak or leaks, so i thought i'd pull it apart and do a gasket and seal change, and also do a auto to manual conversion. Picture shows some damage to the door, the previous owner's daughter left the door open and it rolled into a tree :) , but 1 hour and a block n tackle all fixed :…

So after my Skyline getting defected and it's slow transformation into something I'd want to drive ended. I decided I needed some new wheels. So, I went to look at a few BA's around the 8k mark and they were all pigs and the AU is butt ugly. I've always had a soft spot for the EF/EL's especially the XR. And when this came up at a caryard just down the road I almost creamed my pants. It's a EF Fairmont kitted up like a XR with all the XR goodies. With my first chance on the monday morning I took the car for a drive, had my bank loan approved within a couple of days and picked it up on the friday night. Since then it hasn't been all smooth sailing. My fuel pump re…

hey everyone. just thought i'd finally share that i have another ke36 now. a while ago i bought seabiscuits ke36 of him, just haven't bothered to upload anything onto here about it yet as the wagz is still in canberra. and i now live back in wodonga 4 hours away from canberra. so the car is currently staying at my cousins place in canberra and he is doing all the rust repairs for me and spraying the car. which is good as i can't bring the car down here untill i get my license back, which isnt for about another year and a half ;) anyways, just to make sure that i don't lose interest in it i thought i better post up on here about it, here's a link to seabiscuits thread …

Hello everyone. So I've been wanting to get a corolla project for a while and then this little beauty popped up. This 1980 ke55 which belonged to a good mate of mine that he wanted to do up but never got the chance. Bought it on Saturday. It's a 4k with 5 speed. The engine has done less than 10,000kms since it's rebuild. I spoke with the original owner who did the work to it and was a little bit hazy with the details but he told me that it has: Balanced Crankshaft Some sort of lumpy cam Bored out 20thou Head work And of course a 32/36 Webber :hmm: It has lowered king springs on the front and adjustable shockers in the rear. The interior in this thing is…

Hi Guys, I've been loving the RollaClub community and advice from memebers and the forums. I thought its about time I post some pics of my KE20 project. The project started in 2003 when I removed the 3k, rebuilt a 4k and slapped it in. Also locked the diff and started the body work. For some reason in about 2005 life got to busy and didn't have much time for the beast, so it got moved into storage. 4 years later, missing the urge to go sideways now driving everyday lancer wagon, the corolla pasion has sprung back into gear and the car has come out of storage. :S

Hi there, back in '92 when i had my bike license but not my car license , my GF of the time talked me into borrowing money of my works Credit Union to buy one of these great looking new Toyota Corolla Secas . I loved the look of the car , but i never got to drive it as we split up and i left her with the car and the repayments before i could get my car license. Now, a million years later , my old '95 Hyundai has died and so i sought out a Corolla , the car i never got to drive, ( well my GF did give me a driving lesson that nearly ended up in homicide ) . I live on the Far North Coast so my best option was Sydney. I took a few days, went down looked at a variety of ca…

Hi all, I've been trolling around on here for a while now and rarely posted. I thought I'd take the opportunity to throw my hat in the ring and say G'day. I've been the owner of this 1986 CSX Seca for over 7 years now and it's seen a lot of great days and some pretty ordinary days. Bought it for $1800 and have been tinkering with it ever since. It's had a replacement motor put in it after a month of eating 20W/50 and then 3 years later a head rebuild with all new gaskets and belts. Most of the work that gets done to it is by me. Apart from the colour, the dents, scratches, little bit of rust, and days of outright painfulness I do love it and look after it. I'm run…

Hi all, saw this on ebay 30 minutes after the auction started and after a very quick call to the seller I hit the “buy it now” button and she was mine. She’s a 1970 KE17 Sprinter, owned by only two owners for the last 20 years. In the 7 years the most recent previous owner had it it’s been almost completely restored, with a bare metal respray and completely retrimmed interior. It has KE20 disc brake front end and KE20 full height seats which have be re-upholstered to suit the rest of the interior. Unfortunately the paint prep wasn’t the best, and there’s a few bubbles/humidity blisters coming through. The doors and guards have been pretty extensively repaired so …

hey guys, I'm kinda new to this forums thing but it seems like alot of you know your stuff when it comes to rollas so here i am i am in the process of building myself a unique rolla ride originally i was looking at the usual 4ag options (I'm a toyota purist) :jamie: but it looks like i am getting my hands on a 3t-gteu motor! twinspark motor! i was really excited when a mate said he could get me one reckon this is a good idea??? i have read a bit about the motors and the practicality of them and this is gonna be a dirt cheap option compared to the 4ag line up but yeah, an advice or ideas would be awesome at this point :bash:

OK, so I just got this home from Hobart, was my brother's, Mum decided it would be better for it to be used rather than rust away to nothing in their backyard, so she gave it to me...... It's a 1981 G10 Daihatsu Charade, 1.3 liter 3 cylinder 5 speed 4 door hatch, very original, minor rust on passenger door front and rear, sizable dent in rear passenger door due to my brother smacking his fence a short while after buying it, easy enough to fix..... Rev happy little 3 pot seems healthy, nice golden oil, runs smooth enough (assuming I can start it, seems there's a knack I haven't found yet), gearbox has a nice smooth action, and it drives like a dream. Basic ide…

Our Story. A couple of week back I purchased this T18 for a few hundred dollars. Pulled her from a shed where she has been hibernating for the past 2-3 years. Gave her some fuel, fitted a battery and away she went first crank(electric fuel pumps are handy) into gear and off she went with no hassles. As the photo atest she is no "Belle of the Ball". I am hoping to pull off a "Cinderella" type deal. As you can see she is a granny spec T18, L3TC/T50. On completion it will esentially still be granny spec as this car is for my kids not me. I will be keeping the original plant as it runs really well. The rest of the drive train is also performing as it should. The down side …

Hi all fellow Rolla nuts. This is Woz’s dad, Josh’s Poppa (ewt). My 67 KE10 was one of the first, if not the first off the ship from Japan. I've had it since it was about 8 months old, and now I have time I want to restore it to original condition. A little bit on the history :- The car has a genuine 68,000 miles on the clock. It was on blocks in my garage for well over 20 years, and Woz and his brother pulled it out, fitted new coil and plugs, and she fired up, running on 20 year old petrol!!! Let's see a modern car do that !!!!! Drivers door on it is from a KE11-12 and doesn't match as the interior handles are different. It’s in good conditio…

Hey guys i picked up this sweet ke55 coupe. Been out of rego for 2 years though  But not much needed to be back on the road. I sold my rotary (in my display pic), as rotary engines just piss me off ;) Its got a 5k with extractors, 2.5 inch piping with dump pipe. Its got some type of sport carby instead of the standard. Does have the factory 5spd. It does start how ever battery is dead! Has the cleanest body i have ever seen in a while for a old car, apart from tiny amount of rust above my rear right tail light. Interior isnt too bad, just need new pair of front seats and new dash pad (already posted add for them). And it is missing the chrome strip above the win…

So I sold my AE71 last night and had already placed a deposit on my new addition, a little yellow KE11. The KE11 will be used as a cruiser/daily through this Summer whilst I look patiently for another daily. I didn’t want to rush out and buy a crap daily that I would regret buying so this thing should tide me over for a bit. The KE still has the 3K which appears to be in really good condition, and overall this car is a very tidy unit. The KE will then be hidden away for a while during the colder months and brought out again late next year when the weather is good again. I actually can’t believe the weekend’s weather we are going to have here, awesome to get…

Hi everyone! So i have finally got myself another corolla and this one is in just as much need of work as what my ke20 was! most of the work on this one is going to be rust repair... i spent the last 2 days cleaning up all the stuff i didnt like about it and am quite happy with the results so far. changed the seats back to stock ones that will eventually be re-upholstered. I also replaced the after market steering wheel with a stock one. removed about 20 metres of unnecessary wiring out of the car, remnants of an alarm system and a stereo system and some other stuff! had to clean up the extra gauges as well and the steering column surround had a bunch of holes d…

I love camping and I have alot of camping gear. Sometimes its a pain in the ass to load up the car with tent, gas bottles, lights, gazebo, camp kitchen, stove, BBQ, poles.... Etc. So... I bought myself a brand new 6x4 tradesman trailer. It has the lift top lids with gas lifters. I was going to store all my camping stuff in there and have it ready for whenever i want to go camping. Now I know this is no Corolla but I thought it would be a good chance to show you all some of my plans I have for this trailer. I bought the trailer today and I'm going to source most parts off ebay. I like camping with just a swag, slab of cans and small fire and totally roughing it but i a…
