  1. thats most of it hey. hence why i can get breathalysed with a 114db car and drive away
  2. corollas don't have brakes, they have these little things on the wheels that stop you once for about 10 metres then cease to work so you become good at engine braking once you get a bit of power into your K motor
  3. thats hard isn't it :P or maybe i'm just unco
  4. it had different wheels on it last time i saw it
  5. 2" all the way, you could go as large as 2.5" if you're working the motor. mufflers make the exhaust quiet, not the size of it
  6. trd sell trd
  7. i thought of that too
  8. so you'd be at the top of 3rd, drop it down to 2nd and dump the clutch. you'll either break your gearbox or diff (or engine) or the rear wheels will lock up until you've slowed down enough for them to spin again at the appropriate rpm for the gear you're in. try it with some shitty tires in the wet, too many compression lockups WILL kill your motor, my mate pete put a rod through the side of his old 4k after about, oh, 2 years of it
  9. for the spending-money approach to subwoofer treatment, go and buy a big roll of double-sided mounting tape
  10. it's on lpg right?
  11. if you've got a mechanical oil pressure gauge then chances are you're going to get done for it if your car gets anything more than a casual lookover by the feds. it's pretty hard to hide an oil line going into the cabin
  12. if it's a 5k dizzy with internal ignitor, red goes to coil+, other goes to coil-
  13. hey there, i'm the guy who stopped behind you a few months ago in the orange ke25. it was that day nick and ben and i met at broadbeach mcdonalds. this car seriously hauls ass
  14. if i had a turbo car, considering the price of an avcr, i'd just have a tap in the engine bay. that's how just about everyone down here does it these days. couple of guys are running round with apexi/greddy ebcs

  17. one of my mates used to have two 18s in the back of his camira wagon. the roof would bulge out about 2". the rear doors would pulse to the beat so far you could slip your hand in the gap if you were quick. it was fun to put a bottle of coke on the roof and watch it dance  if you turned it up over half, you couldn't even see. crazy :) they're in his loungeroom in the boxes with some xplods. haven't been turned up in years. we just decided last night that the 18s are going to make a comeback next party we have. we'd actually like to put them in the smallest interior car we can find (tossup between my 25 and sam's exa) just for a laugh. as if my shit doesn't have enough rattles :P
  18. how are you sposed to put a vac gauge in the cabin then? do all factory turbo cars have an electronic boost gauge in the dash?
  19. doug wins
  20. if i called somewhere and they'd "never heard" of haltech, one of the biggest manufacturers of aftermarket computers in the industry, i'd be politely taking my custom elsewhere
  21. and you probably won't get all of it anyway, market value on all of our cars is lucky to exceed $2500
  22. what's wrong with microlebs? i would say motec is EASILY the most powerful ecu on the market. any serious racecar uses motec fuel and ignition i've also heard good things about haltechs. when i was considering efi, i was shopping for a cheap second hand haltech on ebay, even their new computers aren't that dear
  23. because the battery supplies the current to run the stereo doesn't it. not the alternator
  24. yeah they do exist, my ex had one in her ae92 seca
  25. when registering a modified car between states, you need to re-engineer the car to make sure it complies with the state rules, so don't bother engineering it in SA then shipping it over to Vic. different engineers charge different rates depending on the guy and the job at hand so just call your local and get a solid price
