  1. i had alot more than that in my old shed, but i threw some of it out when i moved. i kept the majority of it though, it was under my mum's house. four weeks ago, mum calls me at 8am saturday and says "hi, i'm moving house next weekend, could you get that stuff out from under my house?" goodbye weekend. not having anywhere to keep it, or time to sell it, i threw away about three-quarter ton of spares. engines, wheels, suspension bits, brakes, doors, etc etc i actually still have two ke30/55 bonnets if anyone wants them. totally free, you come get them
  2. ahaha that's always a crackup  the site keeps getting shut down and opens up somewhere else, it's been going for YEARS
  3. you can get s13 silvias for as low as $1500 with no rego, though you would look like an idiot p-plater drift wannabe  how much do mx-5s go for these days? how about a series 1 rx7, they're heaps of fun. you could probably pick up a datsun 1200 for 5 grand in alright condition, maybe even an r31 skyline, cheaper than that would be 180b, 200b, stanza. you can get ma10 supras for a bit more than you want to spend, though they're not exactly "small". any rwd corolla would be good obviously, though if you're keeping the original type motor then i think the lightness of the ke20/25 makes it the best choice. old celica, old corona. sigmas have alot of torque and you can do them up with turbo kits and magna motor parts (2.6 astron twincam efi turbo is popular yo)
  4. close
  5. http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KC5195 $14.95 f@$k have you guys had a look at the jaycar automotive kits lately? digital fuel controller, injector peak hold, electronic boost control! look at all the new wicked stuff you can build for modern cars ;) i'm getting efi-turbo envy
  6. natch, that's the ONLY tasteful kit i've seen for ZZEs
  7. it doubles every time i hear about it. and i don't even watch tv or listen to the radio. this is one huge disaster
  8. imagine if you had a whole garage of them. and the garages were spherical with one red half and one white half, and you just push a button in the middle of the door and it opens. you could sit there in the morning thinking of which one to drive... hmm, bulbasaur, i choose YOU! he would have wicked tentacles for slapping chicks' asses as you cruise down cavill. charmander would have one of those flamethrower kits for $140 in hot4s. as you evolve your poke-car, the engine upgrades. firstly a four cylinder, then a six, then a v8!
  9. les oeufs sont le meilleur petit déjeuner au MONDE
  10. holy crap how many people have died in this thing already? i'm so glad you're safe hai  lucky!
  11. parts for corolla - cheap parts for celica - kinda cheap parts for corona - dirt cheap parts for ae86 - loan application form
  12. you need a multimeter, that will tell you if your wiring is f@$ked and if you're getting earth after the coil. they'll be on special at supercheap for 10 bucks, definately no more than 15
  13. the difference is in the width, there would be a good... oh... 15cm in it. not exactly massive. ke70 firewall comes down differently to ke3/5 firewall, ke30 extractors won't fit on a ke70 without mods
  14. and it sounds phat
  15. generally the middle of the water temp gauge is 90C what sort of oil temp do you get?
  16. start a new topic noob
  17. tacho, small one. definately no bigger than speedo oil pressure vaccum voltmeter ammeter has limited usefulness depending on where you install it. every decent car already has a water temp gauge
  18. f@$kin hell not another one
  19. dot net domains are where it's at baby http://www.superjamie.net/
  20. get .info or .tv or .something-else well done
  21. no my friend sam has an exa, unregistered but he doesnt bother with details like that. its actually quite quick feeling to drive in because its a rattly old shitbox, even though it's only a 15(?) second car. its got these pipes and shit all over the engine bay, the intake tract crosses side to side twice it's so stupid. apparently you can get 15kw or something and a tough sounding idle just from bypassing all that shit this post was brought to you by jim beam, now in 440ml cans on special at coles for 55 bucks a carton, buy two like me and my mate nick did!!!
  22. if you've ever seen the engine bay of an exa, that's plenty of room exas suck
  23. considering 70mph of speed equates about 0.1psi of additional intake pressure, i'd say it makes bugger all difference. look at most early factory efi setups like camiras and exas, if you were really cheap you could just run a pipe in a u-bend from the firewall-facing throttle body and it would still work fine
  24. height adjustable coilovers aren't "necessary", you'll find most people who have them only use two or three different settings. however, it's much easier to fine tune your ride height compared to having custom springs made, and most height-adjustable springs are of a smaller diameters, so you can lay the struts in more for greater negative camber i think you're going way too heavy on your springs but whatever floats your boat. if i were you, i'd be using ae86 power steer arms and struts with bigger front brakes (ae86, corona, celica, cressida, etc). i would go as far as to say any money you sink into little corolla struts is money wasted
  25. engines do this thing, it's called wear. that leaves behind metal, in small pieces, some of which pass through your oil filter, most of which don't and eventually you need to replace that filter if you're going to say it's bad to have bits of impurities inside the engine, and only half-dead engines have them anyway, then why do you need an oil filter at all? you filter shit out your oil cos it's bad for the engine. anything that can help that filtration process is aok with me :doublebird:
