  1. I think the whole "monthly" thing is what killed it in the first place!!!! It was too regular, hence people didn't bother anymore. If you have a CRUISE (ie something more enjoyable for all, rather than sitting round in a carpark) say once every 2 months, I dare so we would have more REGULAR participants.
  2. Couple of quick pics......
  3. Is that "great uncle David"? If so I've got some pics to email to you for the old girl. Oh and "ichabod" is now know as Byron Keith Rush. Keith was his great grand father who actually dies last week, and the funeral was about 10 hours before he was born. As soon as I get some phone>laptop bluetooth access I'll get some pics up. I'm in Hobart so might be a couple of days.b
  4. Thanks guys. Mum got out of bed yesterday arvo, had a shower and a walk around so she's now feeling much better. My little man will hopefully get some Colostrum (sp?) today as well, so that should help him a bit. I think we now have a name too. Will be filling in the birth certificate today so I'll advise you all a bit later. Oh and sorry to all that I didn't have the energy for Redwarf's creativity, re "Press release" :D
  5. Hey All, Just a quick one to let you all know I'm the newest member in the ever growing rollaclub dad club! I'm busy and tired so I'll make it quick. Due to medical comlications baby is with us 13 weeks sooner than expected, but was healthy enough to be screaming (and breathing) as soon as he was pulled out and is now doing very well. Obviously he's pretty small 795gm to be exact, but he's a little fighter so he'll hopefully be home around the due date which was 17th August. Mum is also now fine and should be up and about soon. We were having a lot of trouble just trying to short list some names, so are really struggling now, so he still hasn't got one before you ask. Will hopefully have some pics and a name in the next day or 2. Oh and it was at 2241 on the 19th, which is my mums b'day also. Cheers, ......I'm going to sleep. :y:
  6. :y: nice work Ben, thanks for the laugh.
  7. You coule always ring the mobile number on the windscreen and ask the old/current owner if he knows what its off!! :y:
  8. I think it might be some sort of '3X grill. The early '55 ones have 5x chrome verticle bars like this.....
  9. I you upload your pics to rollaclub then it automatically resizes it in the black box like your last pic. :y:
  10. They weren't loose. The owner of the car thought it would be a good idea to force on the incorrect thread pitch wheel nuts. First major latteral load and it sheard all of the threads straight off. :)
  11. So are they having a girl then? Last time I spoke to him they didn't know. She's only about a month behind my missus, and we're having a boy.
  12. Nope. Only ever get 3 - 6 'ish cars each time. Less regular CRUISES (rather than sitting in a car park) seem a lot more popular. :)
  13. .....and its not some old clunka pushrod motor........ hang-on *checks engine bay* :) ignore me. :fuzz: Go the J :)
  14. Cool cool. You'd better get Sheldon to get stuck into it hard before he has "other duties" in a few of months.
  15. Thats not too shabby at all mate! :) Considering there's some more to come with a bit of head work. Can't remember what cars they were, but remember seeing a couple of 4age dyno sheets here that were between 50-70rwkw!!! .....and they had EFI! Oh and just to make you feel even better I made 69.7rwkw with a stocko 4k and 8psi!! :)
  16. Hey mate, dunno if you'd really care but rather than having the FP guage in the t-piece you can use an adapter to put it into the second outlet of the holley reg. :)
  17. I could be persuaded to part with a set of spitfires soonish! Dunno if you'd want to pay for the semi-slicks they're wearing though. As for the paint, Matt (or satin) it and if you don't like it then put some clear over the top and you have gloss black! :) Oh and as for the heavy pedal - If you grab hold of the linkage and open the throttle does it still feel as tight? With my old carby turbo kit the cable was a bit heavy but a lot of this was due to drag in the cable itself (cable dragging on sheath). Every couple of months or so I'd work some grease into the cable to lubricate it a bit and it always made it heaps better. :)
  18. Anybody get some pics? I had no rego. :)
  19. Not good to hear Brodie. :) Is the gilmer pulley all flogged out on the inside too, or it just damaged the keyway and crank? Assuming so being alloy.
  20. Me again! :y: The lug under 1 & 4 would indicate that its a dished piston motor. Most likely a 5k in Aus, but maybe a 4ku head.
  21. Yeah assuming you have a KE55 style 4 speed, a KE55 style 5 speed is a straight swap. :y:
  22. You can use a ratchet instead, just don't use a cheap shitty ratchet as 1 hit with the ballet could wreck the ratchet mechanism. Thats why I said breaker bar, but in all honesty I normally use a quality ratchet....... somebody else's quality ratchet if at all possible!!! :y:
  23. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=8093 1.3.0 You're not going to get a response otherwise. :)
  24. You need the impact wrench to remove the flywheel bolts? I normally just use a breaker bar and a rubber mallet. Couple of decent whacks and they loosen up. :y:
