  1. I wouldn't mind coming out to give you a hand, but I'm that busy lately between work and driving to Hobart to see my son that I don't even have time to work on my own cars! :y: I haven't even driven Tar since I took it to Prologue FFS!! I think I might have to have a weekend to myself soon, maybe not this weekend but next. So if you still need stuff done I'll see if I can make it out there to help. I'll just bring my fishing rods with me and double up on the trip as I haven't been fishing for god knows how long. :bash:
  2. Funny you should say that casue thats what I was think when I read the above. Supercars don't have a button on the shifter, they have a microswitch in the shifter. The shifter will actually move a mm or two before anything happens, this is thew microswitch working. This way the driver doesn't have to think about pushing the button, the just grap the shift and push or pull, and it all happens automatically. :bash:
  3. Already come out .......... and finished in cinemas here mate! US must actually be behind us on the release of this one. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=28464 :bash:
  4. You finally got that 4agc in and running buddy?
  5. You sure ke25's have inner guard plastic!? 30's and 55's don't so can't see an older model having them! :rolla:
  6. Ok I'll cut a long story short for you...... yeah you've sorta worked it out anyway. Because the fuel filler sits out an inch or so on the corner, if you rolled a mini it would easily shear the fuel filler and/or cap of it making fuel go everywhere. It's not a major issue for yours but maybe if your dad makes some more he could try and get them flush mounted with the body. They'd look a bit better like that too. :rolla:
  7. Byron had his first skin-to-skin "Kanga care" cuddle yesterday. Spewing I wasn't there but hopefully doing it myself tonight. Kicked and screamed when they took him out of the incubator....... and then fell straight asleep as soon as he hit Katie's chest. :rolla:
  8. 5ke TURBO for the top-end 7ke SC for the torque :rolla: If you like torque then: 7k...... tick, stock cam.......tick, SC...... tick. Hell even if you just go for a "Rolla_boy style" draw through SC setup on a 7k then I'm sure you'll love the bottom end.
  9. :rolla: They're sooooo easy to fit hey!? All I had to do with the first one was re-locate one of the horns, drill a 2.5" hole where it was, and the outlet came through the square hole at the end of the chassis rail. I did have to trim the grill a little though. Second one I moved back a bit further so I could fit a stock grill over it.
  10. I don't think your quite getting the idea. A tacho like the autometre one I was using has an adjustable (RPM) shift light, which you can obviously set to your desired RPM. You then wire the trigger to the relay into the wiring between the tacho and shift light. This means that when the light come on, the realy breaks the circuit to the coil. Only tricky bit with the autometre guages is the shift lights are actually "pull to ground" rather than power-on. This just means you need to wire the relay appropriately, like you would a fuel pump being triggered by an ECU. Yeah let me know how you get on Danny. I'm all keen for "creativity" and learning stuff, but your 308 commo race car sounds like the sort of thing I would just bight the bullet on and install an MSD 6AL - the "L" stand for rev limiter. :rolla:
  11. Is that ^ in the SR!!!??? Bloody hell your hard on your cars Todd! :rolla: Were you running an MX6 cooler as well with the HKS mani/asian blowthrough setup?
  12. Don't bother with a 4ke EFI steup. They're hard to find, which makes them more expensive and the are quite restrcitive (throttle body), compared to a 7ke unit anyway. I paid $250 for my 7ke setup - thats with no ECU btw. Get your hands on something like a microtech digi for a couple of hundred off ebay, a few other little trinkets to make it work and your set for under say $600....... which you may find some people are charging for a 4ke setup with an ECU.
  13. Hoosier Daddy!! :rolla:
  14. I like you little alloy bits, noticed you've been selling some on ebay. Just on the fuel cap though :hmm: ...... Do a google search about mini's, specifically their fuel cap and how they where a major issue when crashed. Yours won't be anywhere near as bad but just some food for though. :rolla:
  15. Taz_Rx

    Done

Love to see a vid of this thing doing a pass!?
  16. Um.... you mean DAN not josh!? :rolla:
  17. No. The shift light is what triggers/breaks the relay.
  18. Tell me about it!!!! I'm sort of chasing both Madrolla68 and untubbed_20 (although they're both running/have run a fair bit more boost than me) in terms of 1/4 mile times with 13.7 and 13.4 respectively. All I have managed so far is a 14.5. I think the biggest difference here is the fact that they did there times in KE10's and I'm stuck with the weight of a '55. :rolla:
  19. Just casue the old school commentator makes me laugh :P ........
  20. But really....... why, when philbey made more power with his 5k than some 4age's here have!?
  21. Couldn't be further from the truth mate. :P For starters you don't lighten a FW to improve torque. You lighten it to assist the motor to rev up quicker and also deliver more power through the drive-train to the wheels....... with the expectation of loosing torque!! Have a think about this. Where do you feel G-forces more on a merri-go-round? In the middle or sitting on the outer edge? :P AND, if you were spinning somebody else on a merri-go-round, would it be easier to spin if they were sitting in the centre or on an outer edge? ;)
  22. Thanks again guys. Byron's now doing really well - Doing big poops which is good and now breathing on his own. They've also just doubled his feeding twice in the last 24 hours so thats great too. Pic from last night....
  23. Hi Danny. I don't think I said this in the thread earlier, but my corolla also still climbed slightly in the revs WHILE FREE REVVING in neutral. However when driving and under load it hit the limiter and didn't rev any harder.
  24. Yes there IS such a thing as an up-right K-T bellhousing, It was a TRD item actually. There is a member looking at diong a re-production group buy!! Have a search in the FS section and you'll find the thread. The head is a completely custom Tom's item. Forget building a 3K-R if thats what you're thinking..... It'll never happen. I'm not 100%, but I think these have 3K-R's (150E) in them. :P .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q_0o3O5ZU4
  25. I'll make it fit!!! ....wouldn't actually know yet to be honest. All happened so quick that the baby seat isn't even off lay-by yet!! I did however start "getting him accustomed to boost" a few times while still inutero. :hmm:
