  1. Cut springs will do that! 8/
  2. hahaha, but that only works with "red bloody italians"!! 8/ If you want to get crafty then do something like this....
  3. Sounds like its time for a trip to the rollers then!! 8/ Brad charged me $260 back when I got the carby turbo kit tuned.
  4. No, as far as I know if its a '55 it has a '55 shifter position, beit manual or auto. You curtainly could use an ae71/ae86 box and cut the hole back further, but then you also need to change the tailshaft for the 22 spline output.
  5. Just don't go hitting any corners "Ben style"!!! Aaron may be the best person to suggest an exact route????????
  6. Magnet on a stick will tell you weather it is or not. If it is....... I'll swap ya for a T25G!!! 8/
  7. Steel wheel (ex)?
  8. Contact Troy - KE25 racer..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=12993 I'm pretty sure got some made for his car. 8/
  9. Rust will dissapear the first time it gets hot. 8/ What is the turbo? Looks like a T25 with the Saab v-band adapter.
  10. Sideling is good and I'm happy to do it again,........ but don't you want to go somewhere different!? The road up through Cressy and Poatina is nearly as good as the sideling. 8/ We could have a BBQ up at the lakes and come back through Deloraine (that might also make it easier for Aaron to get back to work!). I'm basically talking about the roads where people go/used to go "Togue" drifting. Opinions?
  11. Penguin must of thought he'd arrived in Antartica. I can understand how with the current waether!!! 8/
  12. Not if you get a cable K-T. Thats what both Leigh's and mine are. There are some K-T bellhousing for sale at the moment on KP61.net which is an American based starlet website. If you haven't already joined there then maybe you should. 8/ As leigh said, use a TA22 T50 and it'll give you the correct shifter position, and being a 20 spline output the stock KE30 tailshaft will also go straight up its bum. AE71/AE86 etc T50's have a "ke70" shifter position and inch or so further back.
  13. So its happy up on boost now too?
  14. .....Or if V8's aren't your thing!! .....
  15. Could of sworn I saw it parked up near the new pool this arvo. Well I saw a yellow KE front with a lip anyway!
  16. MSD BTM ie Boost Timing Master. Has a vacuum line to it and retards the timing for boost.
  17. Targa goes around the country this weekend Thursday June 11, 2009 Australia’s top tarmac rally will be on show in lounge rooms around the country this weekend, with the Seven Network broadcasting a one-hour special on Targa Tasmania on Sunday at 12 noon. Locally in Tasmania, it will show on Southern Cross TV. The show has been produced by the Launceston-based Southern Cross TV production team and features all the action and thrills from the 18th running of the classic tarmac rally. The event has experienced a boom in popularity after providing the back-drop to the Eric Bana movie, Love the Beast, which has now been released world-wide to great acclaim. The movie shows Bana competing in his beloved Ford Falcon during the 2007 Targa Tasmania, before a crash prematurely ended his campaign, and maybe the racing career of his car. The one hour special on Seven showcases many of the modern and classic cars that makes up the 250-strong field at this year’s event. The show’s executive producer, Tim Boric, is delighted with the quality of the program that his team has put together. “I think that this year’s show really captures all the excitement and drama of the event,” Boric said. “We’re lucky to be able to film great cars on beautiful roads that run through stunning scenery. So the raw material we had to work with is fantastic but the production crew has put together a program that really tells the story of this six-day epic journey through Tasmania.”
  18. Can never have enough earth mate! :y: Only problem with the hi-6 is I don't think you can get a Hi-6 "BTM" equivelent (I know casey knows what I mean).
  19. Thats not going to fix your problem. Oil is leaking past the o-ring in the master cylinder. You need to re-sleeve or replace the master cylinder.
  20. Basically anything electrical in a car is 12v. The problem is not the voltage its the amps. Everybody is using LED for everything these days because of its 'low power consumption" which is basically the amps that it draws. If you were to wire up this limiter setup with an LED there simply would not be enough current running through the LED to actually trigger the relay. I think the main sound difference would be the fact that I took those vids while free-revving and the commo is actually under load. The rolla sounded a bit different when you hit the limiter while actually driving it.
  21. Nah mate, they're both using the same "home made" setup. Danny's onto it. :y: LED wouldn't pull enough amps to trigger the relay. I reckon those speco ones would be a globe as they look very similar to autometre ones, but don't quote me on it. See if you can't find a cheap speco tacho like in the dash of Tar. It has a built in adjustable shift light too.
  22. 113000K's is f@$k-all for a K. Thou = Thousands of an inch. 8 thou on th inlet valves 12 thou on the exhaust valves.
  23. Every you'd need to know about adjusting valve clearnaces will be in your haynes/gregory's manual. Stock 4k's are 8 (inlet) and 12 thou (ex) HOT. Might also want to invest in a new timing chain. That ones a bit harder than the tappets, but again you'll have instruction on how to do so in your manual. :y:
