  1. Move to tassie dude. Your ke20 would hardly get a second look from the poopoo down here.
  2. Not too sure what your problem is but thought I might add something that could help when trying to fix it. When I was using one of these to trigger my "Home made rev limiter for carby cars" I discoverd the shift lights are pull to groud, not powered trigger. This means the light always has power connected to it, and the tacho earths it out to make it work. Simple thing but can make a bit of difference with wiring.
  3. Sounds more like an input shaft bearing than a TOB. How much play is there in the clutch pedal? You should have a little bit, so the TOB isn't sitting against the pressure plate fingers all the time. If you do have enought play in it then the TOB shouldn't be making contact with anything to make it spin.... and whire. Hence probl;em is probably the input shaft bearing as even in neutral this still turns.
  4. Have you used a test light to check all of the wires in the loom under the steering column? Surely you should be able to find the one that comes down from the hazard switch!?
  5. See how your brakes go with a little bit of driving. Might wanna put a new set of shoes/pads and some new fluid through, as it can absorb moisture and give you a spongey pedal. Does the MT4 have any sort of ignition control? Cause your best option would be ECU controlled retarding. Alternatively lock up the dizzy and run about 20-25* advance at idle. Not ideal but better than BHG's!!
  6. Oh ok, I just assumed you bought the button new. Thats why I was saying try and get used to it so you didn't waste your money. My HDCB was like $400 at near cost price!!!! In that case I don't know if Madrolla68 would want it as I thought it was new.
  7. Can you take pics of each diff?
  8. Celica has better suspension potential as it has coils in all four corners. As aposed the rear leaves in the '35. Diff in the '35 isn't as big as the celica, which also has the option of a bolt in LSD. :)
  9. Long time, no update..... Boost controller seems to got over its hissy fit, back to maxing around 14-15psi.... where it should be. Drove her to Hobart on the weekend. Ran faultlessly as usual. Probably used a bit more fuel than I would have liked but oh well its not supposed to be an economical cruiser. The .48 has a lot to do with this though - 110-120kmh is right on 0 vacuum/boost and the slightest hill will get you up to 5 psi. When I had the T28 with a .64 it was doing the same 110-120kmh but with 5-10 InHg of vacuum. My T25G is also a bit smokey and not as responsive as it used to be so I'm keeping an eye out for other turbos. Might just bite the bullet when I get my tax return and get a brand new GT2554R, 2560R, GT2860R etc.... still got decide obviously and depend how much I get on my tax as well. Also finally got my gilmer drive crank pulley fixed. I've had some leaking front main seal issues and a dodgy seal wore a 0.5mm groove into the alloy pulley which was enough to make it leak un-controllably. So the pulley has now been machined down to have a stainless steel sleeve slipped over it, which will now make contact with the seal..... Think before I put the gilmer stuff back on I might rebuild and polish an alterator and then re-assemble with the gilmer pulley. That's it for now. :)
  10. hey leigh, dunno if I've said this already but it might be worth you chucking a PM to madrolla68 and ask him if he wants to buy the HDCB. He needs a K-T clutch and I don't know if he's got one yet. BTW, what did you pay for the HDCB?
  11. Hope you have the 6x9 boxes held down to the parcel sheft in some way? A guy I went to high school with was killed in a car accident...... wasn't killed by the accident itself, but by being hit in the back of the head by something that was sitting on the parcel sheft!!
  12. Looks like another fun day. Oh well, next time. :)

Stolen in Launceston? Sorry to hear mate. Let me know if you need some wheels to get rollin again. Hope they didn't leave it sitting on the discs/drums? For $20-50, lock nuts are a pretty good investment hey!?
  14. ^What he said. :y: Think about what you actually want to know and start again. :y:
  15. Un-neccessary comments removed. :y:
  16. You want to buy a stock steering wheel? I've got one, PM me if you want it. Its a 3 spoke '55 one though, not the 2 spoke ke30 type.
  17. Well I'll make life a little easier for you Machg...... and this goes for any other members. Because of my situation with my new son I'm travelling up and down the highway basically every weekend. If anybody wants anything transported from Launy to Hobart or vice versa then just let me know. :y:
  18. And the S13 strut top thing is not just here say. Holes need filing about 1mm each (not re-drilling) and the s13 top slips straight in. For confirmation of this search for "NickZ's" v6 ke30 project thread. There is pics an there and directions straight from the horses mouth. :y:
  19. If the whole point is just to improve exhaust flow then don't bother. Just get yourself a set of decent tuned length extractors and you'll be set. End of story. :y:
  20. Yeah got your sms. Sorry I didn't reply, was watching the new transformers movie. :)
  21. Cool. its on the roof (where all the tyres are) at CAI. Just go help yourself. :) Blown manifold gasket isn't going to make it leak oil or run shit (unless there's a major leak in the intake), it'll just make a loud ticking noise as they always burn out the exhaust ports first. You can check if its leaking on the intake by spring some "start you bastard" or equivalent around the manifold flange (with enigne running) and see if the engine note changes when sprayed. Have you got a couple of spare engines you can try and make 1x good set of plug tubes out of? That'll be a good start.
  22. You sure you didn't get any oil on the plugs when you pulled them out? Its not hard espeacially if your plug tubes are bit old and leaky. Hey what the exhaust like on this beast? Did you see I have half a stock exhaust to give away in the regional section?
  23. Going by this FS thread.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=31244 ...you can with modifications. :)
  24. Not to worry Dam, cheap to fix: $25'ish for the gasket if you get a permaseal etc. Double it for a genuine Toyota one but worth every cent. + $44 for a head skin, some new oil, oil filter, coolant etc and you're back on the road. :) Oh and Leigh - How you going with that clutch mate. I drove my rolla to work today. Had to do a hill start on David St and thought of you!! :)
  25. Anybody want/need the rear half of a stock exhaust for a KE3X-5X??? Price: FREE!!! As far as I can recall its still fine to use. I don't have any need for it and its still on the shed roof at CAI. If it doesn't get collected by one of you guys it will just get taken to the tip, so if you want, go take it.
