The ke30/55 solid mount fans have a different bolt PCD so it actually won't fit on a ke70 water pump pulley. If you really wanted to swap to a KE30/55 solid fan the easiest way to do it would probably be fitting a KE30/55 water pump. But then you'd end up stuffing around with heater hoses etc, as there so many different type of K water pumps. :)

^Like said above, it has a thermo fan, not the stock engine fan and thats why the Haynes manual would be no help to you. Either get a mate who handy with auto electrics to re-wire the thermo fan through a thermostat switch (or manually operated switch on the dash etc) and relay. Or, try and track down a good condition ke70 engine fan. I say good condition as the '70 ones actually have a oil temperature/density system in them. Once the oil heats up to a certain temp it will enguage the fan and make it spin. If the oil system doesn't work (which happens a bit) they can just be locked up with a stategically placed screw. :)

Only if you feed you 4k with TWIN 750 double pumpers, then 4" might be a bit small. :)

That other youtube link is Brodie's (reTRD) KP. He was the guy who organised the Endevour group buy. :) Now here you are talking me up when I actually did something slightly dodge when I fitted my gilmer........ I didn't fit a new front main seal while I was at it (which I think I may have be damaged when removing the stock crank pulley) and I ended up scoring a 0.5mm groove through the soft alloy causing an un-stoppable oil leak. I actually have my gilmer crank pulley at a machine shop now and am picking it up tomorrow after having a stainless sleeve slipped over the machined down shaft. Will post a pick up on Friday once I get it back.

You had to do it on a weekend that I told Katie I'd stay i Hobart for the whole w/e didn't you!! :) Oh well. Next time. :)

Oh. You could possible get away with running the standard width Hilux diff (I'm assuming you still have hiluxs in Jamaica?) if you choice the right model, and then used an appropiate offset wheel. Alternatively, maybe a trip to the local wreckers with a tape measure would be in order. Surely you'd have some " Yank-tanks" there that would have decent sized rear-ends. If you really wanted to use a mazda diff then the only one I would use would be a 13b RX4 diff. It has to be later '75 onward model that had a factory fitted 13b, otherwise it'll be the same size as an RX2/3 or gen 1 RX7. Would probably also be slightly wider than a ke30 so again choose your wheel offset wisely. :bash:

Are they -8 fuel lines? -6 would have been plenty big enough, thats all I'm running. No big drama, just you would have spent a little bit more on the bigger fittings. Only -8 I used was for the turbo oil drain and I'm also about to finish off the oil cooler lines in -8. Defenitely looking the goods though mate. :bash:

K Engine Head Warp On Cold Winters Nights
Taz_Rx replied to bruce's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
That's allowing ample time for K chat, couple of beers, drain a couple of beers, several nut scratches and maybe a "woops we forgot this bit". :bash: I could probably do a head swap (minus manifolds) in under 28 minutes, but thats something I'd do on Dirt, not somebody elses car. hehehe -
Looking mighty nice harun! :bash: How long now until she's on the road?

No matter now! Josh is a car-slut so he's already sold the vehicle in question. :bash:

And as I'm coming down to Hobart nearly every weekend lately* I more than happy to come round and help you re-assemble. Would only take us an hour or two if you have everything there ready to go. *Off-topic but, if you haven't seen I'm a dad already (13 weeks early) so I'm coming down regularly to see my boy. Has your missus popped yet? she was due june/july wasn't she? -
Well here you go!! Byron's doing really well, 5 weeks old and now up around 1200gm in weight. Between last Tuesday and Thursday he put on around 100gm, or in "Biggest loser" terms that about 10% of his body weight in 2 days!!! :bash: He also had his first bath yesterday. Apparently loved it......

That be a weber Jip. :bash: LOL at your safety standards Ben. Got back home yeterday and noticed I had a hatch growing in my garden!!! thanks for that mate you must have only just missed me.

Myself, harun and WinKE55 for the only 3 aussies who bought kits in the endevour group buy last year. WinKE55 did have his for sale a few weeks ago. Its cross out in the for sale thread but I don't know if it sold or not. For AUD$350 you'd be stupid not to send him a message and find out if he's still got it..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=30781 Because they are a toothed belt you can run bugger all tension. They still make plenty of noise, just not as much as if you over tension them, which as said will just chew out your water pump and alternator bearings. Also here's a vid of my kit....

Please use the search function in future. Or at least scroll through the first page of the general mechanical section. If you had of done that you would have found the thread bruce posted. :bash:

Either of these kits should do you: http://www.exedy.com.au/SpecSheet.aspx?Spr...heetRowId=39461 http://www.exedy.com.au/SpecSheet.aspx?Spr...heetRowId=39468 .....hang on, they're both the same kit!!!! :bash: :D and info on ceramic/organic can be found here... http://www.exedy.com.au/SingleSportsSeries.aspx :)

Don't bother. :bash: An RX7 diff would only be slightly stronger than a KE30 diff. Both the centres and axles would be only say 10% bigger. For 13bt power you need to be looking at something like a Hilux conversion. Frankly I don't think I'd even try putting that power through a T series!!! :D

You want to measure the outside diametre of the clutch disc contact area. Count the splines on the input shaft while you're in the shed and you've got pretty much all you need to know to pick your kit. As for the types: The heavy duty is just that, a heavier duty full disc plate. They'll also come with a heavier clamping force pressure plate. This would be your choise if you want the best everyday drivability, but might slip if you really push it say on a drag strip or drifting. The HDB & HDCB both have several button pucks (depending on the kit) instead of a full plate. Both will be a bit 'grabby' but the difference between the two is the cusioned button has cusioning springs in the middle like a normal clutch, were the HDB just has a solid plate. This makes the HDB pretty much 'on/off' where the HDCB will still have a little bit of give. I have a HDCB in my turbo car with a flywheel which would be about much the same weight as yours. I don't think its too bad and am now used to it, but another member here has just put the same kit in his car and dis-likes it so much he wants to pull it out! It can be a little tricky same for say hill starts but a few more revs and an attentive left foot and you'll be right. :bash:

Easy Way To Remove Engine And Gearbox
Taz_Rx replied to KE70-from-mt-panorama's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Helped a mate strip a capella. Had basically everything stripped from the car but the engine and gear box, so we left those sitting on cinder blocks and lift the body off and carried it out to the front lawn. -
