  1. Have you checked to see if the tailshaft is rotating also? Long shot but you could have also blow the spider gears out of the diff!!!
  2. Yeah first thing I noticed in that pic was the Malpassi carby rising rate reg and though "why he using.............hang on - Turbo mini....hell yeah!!" :) What size turbs you have on her?
  3. Can't think of any off the top of my head mate. We have recently been having some cruises in Launy with quite good turn outs. Probably be another soon and would be well worth you making the treck in if you're intersted? :)
  4. hahaha I like Leigh's idea but thats even better!!! I might have to do it just for shit and giggles for a photo. Plan on selling the cab, tray, Murati motor and box. Did you end up starting that apprentiship or whatever Casey?
  5. No worries at all mate, just let me know when. I have room to store your new engine crane too!! :D :bash: Was discussing the mud/sierra thing yesterday and hoping that with a couple of builders jacks (under main roof beams) we should be able to hang mud from the roof inside the shed. :bash: Then its full steam ahead with the KE4X4! :)
  6. Just a quick one. Thought I'd let you all know that I have moved from C.A.I. to Norwood after nearly 6 years there. So if you wanna come round for some parts or help PM me and I'll tell you the new address. I've got a decent sized shed and lots of concrete so feel free to bring your cars around to work on them. Rather than say...... :) pushing a loaded engine crane across grass! :D
  7. Search in projects section for Kickn5's 5kze ke11. :)
  8. By "these people" you mean senior members that are simply sick of newbies starting new threads before they even spend a second of the own time searching for the answer they need????? Frankly, if a newbie doesn't have time to search, why do they expect senior members to spend the time to reply? :)
  9. No 5k crank pulleys are 2 pieces of steel sandwiching a rubber seal. Wouldn't be this though. As mentioned above it sound like you problem is just a noisy belt (ie goes with a spray of WD40). Replace it and come back to us. :)
  10. Congrats mate. My first is due in August and we're finding it soooo hard to pick a name. We even know its a boy and it doesn't make it any easier!! :)
  11. Numpty....you should have just put a 3/4k flywheel on it!!!! So how much did the full rebuild cost if you don't mind me asking?
  12. Ah so thats who took Dan's extractors. :)
  13. You going to be able to transport it once its built? I could run it from the shop to your place in the van if need be. .....then you might be happier when I ask you to borrow it!!!
  14. Bream - "the little engine who could"!........ Mako - Just a plain old steam engine!!! hehe......
  15. I'll have some spare bits from Mud for you shortly buddy. Got a new house so that projects about to go into full swing.
  16. haha you guys just think its boring cause you never catch anything!!!! Bet you'd change your tune with a mako (hell even a bream) on the other end of your line!!
  17. Changes from state to state. I was supposed to loose my nearly 2 years ago. I took the good behavior mr ae71 spoke about and managed to be a good boy for a year on 1 point. You'll find that most states have now dropped the probationary 'work only' thing for the above option. I sucks I know buy hey you do the crime, you do the time.
  18. If you want some top-notch shocks like Koni's then there isn't anything that is made for the KE30. However, you can use something like the rear (IIRC) shocks from an AW11 MR2 (which koni still make shocks for) which are the right diametre. The body of the shock is about 100mm shorter though so you have to pack out either end with some washers etc. Alternatively swap to somthing like a whole AE86 strut with appropiate steering arms etc and you have near endless possibilities. Rears are easy. Just pick any AE71/AE86 etc shock and chuck them in. I have TRD 8 way adjustables in the back of my '55.
  19. lmfao good work champ.
  20. Norwood. Sure you'll all find out exactly where in due course. Think the wagon packs have an extra "towing leaf" or something like that. Not any lower though. I wouldn't stress to much about it in the meantime. Really no different to driving round with a fat bitch on the back seat hey!? :P Reset should cost you less than 100 clams BTW.
  21. 5k bottom end/3k head is the combo I run for LOW COMPRESSION.
  22. ....maybe in the wet! :P Honestly dude, if you have $200 to spend on another K motor then sit on it until a 5k comes up for sale within your budget. More power, more torque and you're effectively not trying to polish a turd!!! :P
  23. I get Leyton Springworks to do stuff like that for me. They just on the 80kmh signs heading out of youngtown on the old highway. Go out and ask for Brian (owner) tell him I sent you and he should look after you. :P Alternatively if you can make do for a couple more months I'll have the ones in my wagon available. Just got another rental house so that project is about to start. :P
  24. Quick update: Given up on ebay turbo....... very pissed off. $400 out of pocket. Yell out if anybody knows some heavys in Albury. :P Think I also need a new boost controller as I've been having some "issues". Great having a data logger. Was worried about spiking 17.8psi on the recent tassie rolla cruise (with ceramic wheel turbo). Had a quick look on my way back from Prologue yesterday and boost was maxing out at 22.1psi!!!! :P Talk about mumbo though!!! :)
