Not everyone has easy access at a bouser for E85. Nowhere is tassie has it yet, probably won't for a couple more years. To be honest guys, I'm not really all that interested in the whole quickest K thing! Even though I comply with the rules you're just trying to make up too many different categries and IMHO are just confusing things. I think it should just be 2x. 1, Quickest NA K (without N02) - So run of the mill street cars pretty much 2, Forced K - Beit Turbo, S/C, N02 and any combination or all! If you don't like fact that somebody else is twin charged with N02 and you're only turbo then fit a chrger and some N02. Can't beat 'em, join 'em!!!!

I quite enjoyed it, but I'm sorta of the opinion that any top gear is good top gear. You can deffinately tell that WIN has a bit more funding to throw at it than what SBS did.

One of them was fitted in 2x corollas too. edit - actually 3x cars - Dirt, then Tar, then fitted into James' KE35

Kits come up for sale rarely. You're better off building your own kit. Use the search function and have a read up on what others have done, then decide what direction you want to go in.

+1, just change all the leads. Some service books say to replace the spark plug leads every second time you change the plugs. Have you also replaced or re-set your points? They could be closed up a bit too much.

Its the porcalin looking thing next to your ignition coil. quick overview: There is 2x power circuits running to your coil - "on" and "start" power, dependant on where the ignition key is. Under normal driving conditions the 12v "on" power runs through the ballast resistor, which drops the voltage to the coil to around 6-8v. When you try and start your car the "on" power is bypassed and the coil gets 12v through the "start" circuit to try and help the engine start easier. Once you release the key back to "on" the "start" power de-activates and the "on" powr kicks back in. To test it you need TEST light, not a timing light.

I've seen both TRD and Quaife close ratio T50's sell on Trademe.

Not real great. It would be too big, and those things are netorious for snapping shafts if you wind the boost up too much.

Funny you should say that. Last trip out to the drags Yoy-yoda was driving a mates older XR6. He managed a mid-highist 16 IIRC. I was running low 15's that trip but have ran in the 14's.
