Calipers do the work so brakes can only be as good as the calipers. A bigger MC will push more fluid, so running a bigger MC with stock calipers is only going to give you a tighter pedal and increase your chances of lockups.

Crazy setup, thats for sure. Another RC member with a forced fed K was recently speaking to me about doing a crazy re-build and changing their setup a bit. Mentioned running 30+psi. As I said to him there's really not too much point in running over around 25psi as the head just can't flow it. Darren will agree with me as IIRC it was him who originally told me about it. 1 thing that makes me wonder about this "3K" though, as I said in a post earlier it has 5k lugs on the head. This just doesn't make sense! If it was a 3k bottom end running a 5k head then the CR would be stupidly high. Same if it was a rare 4ku head which also has the lugs. Make me think that this is actuall running a 5k (as you would) and telling people its a 3k. If you know the guy Rad, maybe you can suggest he signs up and joins the conversation. I would love the be able to chat with somebody who obviously loved K's, and boosted ones at that, as much as I do! :jamie:

went straight over his head Trev.

Its not just drag racing mate. As Felix said - "Chemical supercharging". Can I suggest you do some research into N02 and how it works in cars. When using N02 you're not forcing fuel into the engine, you're forcing an "air" substitute..... sound familiar!? I'm keen to play anyway. Someone got a KE10 I can borrow! I'm never gunna get near Matt's and Darren's time in a heavy KE55.

Don't you mean 2 month until you need to find somebody else to fix them!!! :lolcry:

1. It doesn't matter if he was speeding. The guy who pulled out was still at fault. 2. You're a bloody idiot for suggesting to scam the guy. Do you think maybe you'd need some written eveidence (like a bill from the trailer hire mob) to claim said damages. :rolls: 1 thing to check blzbub - Was there a solid whit line between the lanes you merged between? Most intersection will have dotted (overtaking lanes) line leeding up to and intersection then the last 10m or soo will be a solid white line. Won't really make any difference in who fault it was though.

 Makes me happy.

An NA 4/5k would probably pull more vacuum than an RB as they're not low comp motors..... RB has a couple more pistons to suck though. Don't think i'll be a prob either way.

Quoted for the Truth

Certainly is possible, I've got a 4k sump on my 5k. 4k and 5k ones are identicle (unless its the above pictured 5k one), 3k sumps are a bit different and can't be used on a 4/5k. They're slightly deeper and use 2x less bolts per side to bolt on.

You sure? I thought Ch 9/Win had the contract for the Com Games. Just checked and you're right its Ch 10, foxtel and ABC Radio (It was the 2012 Olympics Ch9 won). But yeah, still waiting until its finished so they don't have to compete.

13b rotors/housings are around 10 wider than a 12a (thats were the extra capacity come from) so its just a matter of machining the extra width off the housings. Still wouldn't be cheap but. Dave - If you've got 2x brand new 12a housing then if I were you I'd sell them (and make the most of the NLA) and use the funds to buy an import 13bt. 12at parts are even harder to find than 12a.

Apparently after the Commonwealth Games as they're on Win.

Ewww, that won't smell like a tasty roast dinner though. Removing the head unit would have taken effort!

Just a though, if you wanted to use these say for a show car and have the doors open at a show then just make yourself up some little blocks that can slide into the door jam and re-connect the contacts. Would also be handy for keeping the door open on a windy day at a car show. :hmm:

O dishes range from 6-8cc. Those top ones have another couple of CC's worth of carbon on them! :lolcry: Yes plug on the side of the sump is oil level switch. GJM85 - Datsun A12 pushrods are the correct length for Holden lifters in a 5k, that what I have in mine except they're Tomei Chrome Moly versions.
-
Yes R31's are 4x114
-
There was also a guy in the technical projects section who was using an R33 booster and MC IIRC, again direct bolt in...... :hmm: Oh in a KE70.

Ring and ask to speak to Al.... he's the owner. Tell him Simon and Katie told you to call him ;)

Tech mods outrank regoinal leaders! :) Just stirring, I really don't care where we go either, I'm just not a huge fan of the JHG. I'll make sure my missus comes along so she can entertain yours while we talk cars and stuff...... hell we'll bring Byron too and I'm sure they'll entertain themselves talking babies or some girly shit! :D I'll get you a list of roads tomoz. ;)

What are you on about!? The Aus version is made in Australia.
-
Uni students are usually too stoned to browse rollaclub! :D

Depending on your state its normally a matter of a capacity increase by %. 3k is 1200cc 5k is 1500cc I'm sure you can work out the % of capacity increase, then check with your local RTA. :D

Oh, I haven't given you a list of roads like I said I would have I! I'll get to it shortly if you still want it. Dinner is a great idea,..... however to be honest I not a huge fan of the Jailhouse. Yeah they do good steak but you've gotta get the larger cut for a decent feed and dinner with the boys then becomes quite a bit more expensive. Compare that with a block further down the road (Cock & Bull) and you get the same sized steak for 2/3 as much and you don't need to go to the dodgy help youself salad buffet. + the Cock have like 15 odd type of beer on tap too. Just my 2c. I'll be coming either way. :D
