  1. :no2: Yes and no. Ke70 springs are narrower. If your chasing for some crazy camber they'll be good if you don't want coil overs. Unlike the ke30/55 struts the '70's struts are directional (left side can only be used on the left) Apart from that they'll fit but you'll have to swap over bearing plates (the part that bolts the strut to the car body)
  2. Pretty possible, all it'll need is either different rods or pistons. 3k-h block, rods and pistons fitted to a 4k crank. 4k rod at the top 3k-h at the bottom Back of the block Counter weight hits the piston towards BDC. As can be seen the rods cap can't be fitted Past that point the cap can be screwed down. But around the half mark number one rod jams up on something. I'm not sure what it is can't see anything hitting Piston sits about 3mm proud
  3. Nar, i'm pretty sure it was battery acid :P But i'm going to have to drop into our corner store sometime soon for another hit
  4. I don't know why but Amber doesn't like this stuff :P More for me i say :D
  5. Love reading your threads eirik. And just not for a laugh but the photos are pretty good as well. Like how you've parked your chariot up near the other heaps in one shot. The cars rego plates are they stickers ?
  6. Wouldn't a setup like that lower the compression ? Or did you get the head shaved or the block decked ? And i'm just reading the supercharger as a maybe.
  7. Can't understand a single word But i like it :P
  8. Bout time slacker
  9. Rockabilly Psychobilly Mystery Gang Tiger Army
  10. The only problem you'll find is if the '55 is an auto and the '30 is manual. You'd have to figure something out with the '55's gearbox x-member, its the only part that wouldn't be a bolt-in swap over.
  11. I shouldn't have to say it :P I'll see how much bacon we can bring :P
  12. Sure its not a leaking system ? Like, where the brake line from the master cylinder splits for the front calipers. Pull that connection and see if fluid comes out. And doing a bit of line tracing.
  13. Hehe. You might be thinking ae82. Its PCD is 4x100. A ghetto way to find out is lay the wheel down on its face grab a board (4x2) place it over the wheel and run a tape measure or ruler down the middle to where the rim would bolt up to the axle. Then take the measurement to the axle. Its a rough way to find out the offset and you'll be able to see if the wheel/tire hits on anything. Either that or just place the wheel on a front strut (less room there then what you'll have on the back).
  14. Think more along the lines of traction bars.... Stops the axle from winding up and acting like a spring when the wheel loses traction and causing the wheel to "hop" or "bounce". Also called anti-tramp bars, slappers etc etc. Pretty common in old-school drag racing. Now a days if the local blues see it you'll be pinged for a "hoon"

  17. If not this coming weekend so far the only other weekends available for us would be 23-24 this month and 20-21 next month. They're the only weekends Amber's not working
  18. Been getting a little bored so i've been tooling around the garage doing a bit here and a bit there. Decided to start pulling the old 3k down today. And talk about carbon buildup on the pistons and check out the up/down scratches on the closest cylinder. Never seen it before till now but the head just lifted up as i was undoing the head bolts. The surface of the head had a nice green sheen to it as well... Not sure what i'll be doing with the junk at the moment.
  19. There's a section in woolies/coles that sells party plates, knives, forks etc. A couple of bucks worth for a weeks supply :jamie: And all you have to do is throw the stuff in the bin before the other half gets home :jamie:
  20. Whats RICE in Russian ?? Or too much ethanol in their vodka
  21. I like the bit when they start it and have the flames shooting out the side before the back wheel.
  22. Yep beginning to have a dislike against those lycra wearing road bike riders. More so the ones that seemingly show very little or no respect for themselves and other road users by riding not two abreast but more likely try five abreast going across the middle line and not wanting to move over for the on coming traffic. If i had a shovel i would have thrown it at the one that gave me the finger as i went around them. The only thing i did was give them room as i went around and shake my head. No honking the horn, flashing lights, screaming abuse or anything just a look and shake the head.
  23. Updates updates updates Whats happening..... ??
  24. Yep you sure got that right  Edit - whats the go with all the bloody gauges ?? Oh wait i see - they need a fuel pressure gauge for each injector, an oil temp gauge for each turbo and boost gauges...
