Its about 33% from all three dams but having a look on the council site the water level has "risen" at all three dams. Had a quick look as we drove over the Perseverance Dam wall and it looked higher then the last time we went out but that was about three months back Edit - Amber just gave me a slap to the back of head. The water levels have risen not dropped. My bad...

Air to water and run the water hoses to the boot. Air to air is simpler but for a road car that wouldn't see boost even a third of the time a track car would is a waste of time in my opinion. For air to air to work and work properly the car would have to be at speed so that it'd have air flowing though it so that it can cool the charged air. Air to water its there no matter what the speed. Sure it may not be as efficient as the air to air but when your talking about day to day driving on legal roads its a lot better. Well thats what i think anyways

True true, ask anybody in the business and they'll tell you advertising what you have does work. Keep your products low key and hardly anybody will know about - except word of mouth.

Crazy Clarks over at the Harvey Norman centre have a two men tent. Didn't think of looking at the price.

Less mod's to fit the 5k. Just like mod plates "P" plates and forced induction don't mix. My idea would be keep the 5k in the car, maybe work it a little. As your gaining experience in driving build up a nice little donk for when you move onto your opens and swap it over. 4ages can be had cheaply, you just have to know where to look, when to look, what to look for and plan your build of the motor. Like it'd be pointless going for a running motor, complete with efi, when your wanting carbs. From my point of view, if i wanted forced induction on the 4age i'd be looking for a 4age with a blown gasket so i can build it to how i wanted it.

RT104 Corona for a good brake upgrade, but you'll also have to change spring seats or something for them to fit the '55. But, since your planning on coil-overs that bit wont really matter. You'll still need the upper bearing plate (the part that bolts the strut to the body) changed over to the '55 one and you'll also need the steering arm from the corona. You will not need the lower control arms from the corona, their the same as the '55. 5K would be the easiest to swap in - same engine mounts, gearbox, etc etc. 4age will need the engine mounts modified. Thats the only thing off the top of my head, but there will be more i'm sure. Like the fuel injection wiring. Hi-lux diff might be over kill.

A few of the photo's we took from the last time we went out for a scout. The first photo is what the entrance looks like. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=41610&view=findpost&p=442779 Has a link to google maps on where the camp site is. Just follow the directions i'll give under the link back to Esk. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=41610&view=findpost&p=439436 Follow the road from the camp site at the T-intersection turn down (left) Mount Jockey Road till you get to a T-intersection turn left into Ravensbourne Tip Road. Follow that till a T-intersection turn left into Esk-Hampton Road and follow that to Esk. The road veiw pictures from google maps are usable. Doug was planning on setting up a cruise to go out there. Might be easier that way.

Yep thats about right you don't have to cut a new hole for the shifter. But, you will have to make up a new g'box crossmember cause the mounting holes on the car are different between the auto and manual version cars. Have a search around the forum both here and in the automotive discussion section its been beaten around a bit.

Maybe the voltage regulator at the back of the cluster is stuffed.

I like the idea of the 93 offenses, including drink driving and driving while disqualified. What were the lesser ones ? Did anybody watch "RBT" on tv the other night ? One of the guys the cops pulled over asked what his reading was and all the cop said was that he was over the limit, wouldn't even tell the guy what it was..... Cause they don't meet the minimum four star safety criteria so it'll either get crushed or used for SES/fire training.

True, i got up and walked back off to the computer after about 10minutes

Oh and the whole thing of why i put "hoon" in the inverted commas You'll be able to find it most good dictionaries along the same basic lines.
-
Its got its merits but at the same time. The idea of illegal "hoon" driving, from what i can understand, doesn't really have any set regulations. Basically, say, once for 68kph in a 60 zone, once for running an amber light, once for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. "Oh sorry son shine but you've just been done three times for hoon driving." Off we go to the crusher. Its not just anti-social behavior - speeding, racing, spinning the tires etc etc but a failure to use the blinker can be classed as "hoon" driving just as much as hanging your melon out of the window yelling out "NICE CANS". You do have to admit an old car is more likely to be picked on then a later model car will be. Cause of the fact it'll have at least one defect on it. Isn't rust frowned on ? And some cars are magnets for cops (eg - ae86, silvia's, rotaries) cause they know their mostly used by "hoons". I've had a cop car pull in behind me cutting off the car behind just so they could have a look see more then once and also drive through an amber light just to stay behind. The whole age thing can also be a magnet for the cops as well.... Have a "P" plate on the car ? Its almost like waving the typical red flag at a bull. How many times have you been branded a "hoon" cause of the "P" plate ? I still remember a few years back minding my own business in K-Mart and an old guy walked up to me "Your one of the typical hoons around this town, where's Autobarn?" He didn't like it when i turned around and told him that i didn't know. I don't know about the rest of Oz but here in QLD an amber light is treated as a red light. http://www.themotorreport.com.au/50642/victoria-police-crush-first-vehicle-under-anti-hoon-laws What could be deemed as "improper use" ? Not using the blinker ? Running an amber light ? Both can be classed as "careless driving behavior" I like the idea but you would have to watch your back in it....
