  1. Nice idea. Good find. I'm of the same opinion as 7shades. Maybe call in to Jaycar, Dick Smith etc and see about a electronic timer thing so that you wouldn't have to worry about flipping a switch that could possibly fall out of your hand. But doesn't some injectors run on a lower voltage ?
  2. Yep, we've got the bacon. Eggs ? We could bring a dozen. Someone want to bring a tarp or two ? We're here. times 3. I think some friends are coming out with us, far as i know it'll be just the two.
  3. Or you could hunt up the turbo exhaust manifold from the 3t-gtue. Couldn't one be made up cheaper then that on Paradise ? Induction - i'd be leaning towards EFI but apart from that a carby blow-through setup, that way you could run a small intercooler. There is the option of a carby draw-through but apart from the on-throttle/off-throttle lag time cause of the location of the carby, fuel will also be drawn through the turbo. The only real drawback on the blow-through setup is having to mod or "box" the carby. I don't really know much about the turbo thing itself but i'd be looking towards something from a similar sized motor.
  4. Whats the frame number ? Its up on the firewall left side of the right hand windscreen spray jet. It'll start with "KE30-xxxxxx". The build plate will have the same numbers (or at least it should be the same) But anywhat KE30-000001 didn't roll out of Takaoka no.1(A31) till August '74.
  5. Straight swap. Just make sure its a g'box from another ke70. The one from the ke30/55 is different in the gear lever position and gearbox mount.
  6. Rob's gonna die :-p Edit - Just read this. Its from Amber :rolls:
  7. With my old T-18 i glued sheets of three ply boards over the holes in the doors etc. Locked the keys in the car after i did it and since i was with RACQ i got someone to come out and break in. The guy turned up, pulled out a book about 6 inches thick flipped to the page on the T-18, grabbed the tools he needed and did what the book said. He tried a few other different things but in the end he used a length of wire to pop the tail-gate. I don't know if it was just him or if it was to do with what i had done to the doors, but it did make me sit back and go :hmm:
  8. Woo Hoo i have whipped cream :) :)

Question - Been thinking of central locking ? About now would be the best time to do it while you've got the doors off.
  10. I've been getting on the forum a bit on my thing (Garmin-Asus Nuvifone A50 android 1.6) just on the android browser. Seams ok but i clicked on the disable button last night to see what it was like and the button went missing. The only way to get it to change back was of wiping the whole browser's history of rollaclub. Reading the forum on Opera absolutely sucks the big one. In mobile format you get everything listed and i mean everything. Switch it over to the normal format (eg desktop) its a lot easier to navigate, but, you can't click on a link unless its changed back to the mobile format. Its also the same thing with making a reply, has to be changed to the mobile format but the then the "post" button doesn't work. This is all done through the Opera settings - the forum button disappears on the opera browser. There's a couple of other android browsers that i'm thinking of trying out as well. But i was really hoping or wanting to use the firefox version cause i would have been able to sync all my links over
  11. Short answer is - yes to both questions. Long answer is still yes, but, to use the "G" head on the 4af you'll more or less need everything from the front end of the 4ag - cam gear off the crank, water pump and i can't think of the rest. This stuff is different to the 4af. You can use the 4ag crank in the 4af block but you'll need the 4ag flywheel as well. The 4ag flywheel uses 8 bolts to hold it to the crank where as the 4af uses only 6 bolts. They also say that using the "G" head on the 4af lowers the compression but when i did it i never noticed the loss - i could still lose traction on the front wheels in third gear in the wet. Maybe i had an odd ball of a setup. But that seams to be a pretty common run for me with cars and motors. If your planning on using the 4af in a rwd you'll be disappointed - the 4af doesn't have the spots for the engine mounts. The 4afc block that i've got has the "bosses" but their not drilled and tapped. Edit - Just cleaned my typing :)
  12. Looks like its going to just be one little monster (the youngest). Not sure if the friends are bringing their kids or not...
  13. While on the thing of the mobile site. If your thinking of downloading a copy of Opera mobile - Don't, don't even bother. I had to start off in viewing the forum as a full page and then change it to the mobile setting to change pages, back to the full page and then back to the mobile setting to write something which didn't even bloody work in the end. Painful to say the least. Stick with the android browser if thats what you have. Unless you can get the firefox version (read its better) but you'll have to have android 2.0 or higher on the phone. Sucks cause i'm stuck with 1.6 Edit - i'm typing this on the main computer
  14. Very bloody painful looking at the forum through opera. Wouldn't even let me add a reply from the phone....
  15. Woohoo i have Opera on my phone :( Now i have to figure out how to use the stupid thing :( Here's hoping i can do something about my firefox bookmarks. Stupid garmin that just had to run android 1.6
  16. Stupid stupid phone Cause its only running android 1.6 i can't get Fennec (aka firefox mobile) on it. Need android 2.0 or higher But at least i now have a few games on it :P Oh well i'll see if Opera mobile is compatible :(
  17. Just as a note - the serria being 4wd and offroad capable there'll a good range of lifted shocks for them as well. So your not just limited to standard height, its something most people don't realize. Rancho's for one type. I'd also say with the kyb's they'll be the same, able to get ones raised. The Hilux shocks did you look at the 2wd ones or the 4wd ones ? There is a difference.
  18. :hmm: now i know why ebay has been giving me crap loads of problems lately. Its cause of all your damn corolla parts, Evan :P Received a call from paypal the other day asking why i have two accounts and why i transferred money from one account to the other one. Told the guy the reason why is cause ebay has been using my closed paypal account on all the items that i had listed and i couldn't understand how they, the buyers, were being able to transfer the money into the closed account. But anywhat went through the last three items i had listed to make sure they had the correct paypal account listed and found they didn't so changed them to the correct one. Saved them and realized i had the wrong postage listed, went back to change it and the paypal account details was wrong again. Phuck i'm glad its all over. Just have to do one paypal transfer and more then likely get another call from america about it, again. The other two had been nice and clean a local pick up and a bank transfer.
  19. You've been spotted.... lol
  20. I forgot all about hyundai and their use of the mitsu motors. Wasn't going to say it but FTO, uses the same floorpan as the lancer/mirage.

  22. Mirage & Lancer Group Australia mitsubishiclubaustralia.com Two ok aussie sites but MLGA tends to be a "buggy" at times with things like, you have to join to see the forum and if you don't keep up with visiting or at least making a posting you'll have your "account" deleted. MCA covers a board range of cars. evolutionm.net Overseas site - i've linked the lancer section. Its just the wifes car, yes ? I'd just stay with the 4g93 and maybe hunt up the twin cam version with the direct injection instead of the multi-point injection. But with the direct injection you'd more then likely have to swap ecu's over as well. Might be a bit hard to find a 4g63 from the lancer evo7 without the high cost. But then again the Outlander used the non-turbo version. But then again the aussie outlander got the same 4g69 2.4L as the CG/H lancer. I'd just stick with the same motor since its the wifes and you need it back on the road. Cheaper and easier
  23. My comment on that is - Does the block have the drilled and tapped spots where the engine mounts would be bolted to ? Does it have anything for the engine mounts to be bolted to the block for a rwd setup ? Like the 4a-f block i have sitting in my shed. That doesn't have the spots for the engine mounts making it a rather pointless waste of time in saying - I'm going to throw that in my rwd car when it can't. Well, it can, but....
  24. And then i came across this comment http://www.rollaclub...post__p__481266 :bash: Just so hard to resist in remarking on just how stupid the comment was with what is being sold or preferred swapped.
  25. Nice :) pictures ? Sounds like Cressbrook is getting better and better. When we was out there a few weeks back it was pretty good. $10 on the firewood. I'll tell amber and we'll most likely shoot out there and grab a bag. It also looks like a mate and his girlfriend and their two kids are coming out as well :)
