  1. Rear solenoids are in and this was where i placed them. About where the plastic cover is folded over is about where the window track is About the only location where the wiring can go on the doors. Near (or under) the door seal is where the window track is All in all i think the location works a real treat, a lot better then what i had thought it would have RP7, WD40, Inox etc are great for removing glue stuff thats used for sticking the plastic covers to the door frames when, not if but when, it gets on your fingers etc.
  2. Toowoomba drivers. Pulled up at a set of traffic lights earlier today. Car pulled up along side and then took off straight through the red light. Phucking pretzels and this damn town. I swear half of this town has stupid in the water. Another case in point - Came up to a t-intersection and since i was going to make a left turn, left hand blinker and left side of street i went, there was a car in front in the middle of the lane. Said car had to move backwards cause of a semi wanting to make a right turn down the same street. So said pretzel reversed his car a couple of metres, truck moved down the street a little bit, pretzel reversed a little bit more, then truck then pretzel. After a bit the truck finely got around the corner and said dumb arse makes a left hand turn and all this time the pretzel could have turned the corner... Or in the least as reversing move over to the left side.
  3. I tend to be a bit like that. Not really interested in buying what ever car but i'd sure be interested in checking out the photos. A tire kicker one might call it. I'm not surprised with the amount of time the mods spend in the sale section. Just have a trawl through and see how many tools are there with bits missing from their adds, like location, price not too mention some double up on threads. Maybe have a bit of "self-moderating" Or unleash the seniors on the market place  and let them do a bit of housework (self-moderating), less work for the mods.
  4. Be a bit cramped sleeping in.
  5. :hmm: i wonder how many locals, apart from me and amber, are going to been coming out

Sorry sam but i had to change it. Lowering blocks suck the big one.
  7. Yeah i know. He was doing about 80, which isn't bad considering in his first season he would have been lucky to go any faster then a motorized wheel chair :lolcry:
  8. The shifter is in a better spot with the '70s g'box Interesting as well, because if i didn't do it the gearbox would have been banging on the tunnel as well as pushing the exhaust up through the floor. Bloody hell what is it with my damn car.....
  9. Just realized the pictures are from a ke30. The ke55 uses a plastic film type of circuit board. The chunk of metal between the oil light and LH light is the regulator
  10. From the back side From the inside after the board was taken off the cluster The diode is what regulates the voltage to 7v (i was wrong with the 5v) And the capacitor is there to smooth out any voltage spikes as such (like turning the lights on/off) Sorry Evan but i really don't think this would be causing your problem. I'd say the problem is elsewhere between the light switch and gauge cluster.
  11. Friend of ours their son was racing speedway last night for his 2nd season. Meet the driver - Christoph (aka Chrissy to us) and this is the aftermath of him flipping the car not once but twice. His conditions pretty good just a sore neck, has to wear a neck brace and taking a few days off school.
  12. The speedo problem is a separate problem. The old owner could have pulled the speedo out and fiddled with it, is one reason. Does the needle move when the car starts moving (faster then walking pace) ? Cause if its like that you might be able to move the needle back to its correct spot. But i do say might cause you might not be able to do it. The resistors, if you want to call them that (more diodes really), drop the voltage to about 5v for both the temp gauge and fuel gauge. My guess would be the same as Evan's. The sender is in the fuel tank. But you'll have to pull the tank out to be able to get to it without damage.
  13. Less then 2 weeks to go....
  14. Yep, my dads old datsun c20 vanette with the a15. Scared the poops out of me when i did it by accident.. And more of a power slide in the wet in his old ford econvan e2000. Dual cab ute style. Big arse 14" rims on the front and tiny little 12" duals on the back, factory built for shut and giggles that thing was. My brother and i was thinking of bringing it out to toowoomba here for a while and dropping a v8 into it and handing it back :ninja: but then the brother-in-law wrote it off.
  15. Good to see you've added some drainage holes in the boot
  16. And to think, your having trouble with the clutch cable. Just you wait till it comes to putting the g'box back on. You'll be bald as a shaven badger and the "F" word will be your new best f-ing friend. Yeah sure, its not that hard but its still a bitch and a half if you don't have the room under the car, you finely get the input shaft lined up and things start going walk about. Have fun and think of me sitting back in my nice comfy chair having a nice cold brewski :)
  17. :hmm: my dads got one of these but its a 4wd and the poor thing has rust modified speed holes
  18. Noosa hey. I remember once upon time when that road was open to the traffic. Power steering arms from the ae86 will help speed up the steering. But you'll have to upgrade the struts to something like corona or ae86 etc as well, the arms from the ae86 will not bolt to the ke70 struts. http://www.club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/Steering%20Box.htm And i'm pretty sure if you have a hunt around on club4ag there was talk about "steering quickeners" http://racebasics.com.au/afco-steering-quickner-1-5-1.html?osCsid=bf396425cdffd9bfa9416302f9361985 :)
  19. Ok going to start another bitch session Phucking ebay this time and i guess paypal as well. Sold a few items on ebay and it wouldn't except any of my postage costs only its own. One item no bigger then a dvd case was costing, oh, about $40 to send to victoria.... Been trying to revise everything for the past week but then it just changes the postage again.... And now i find out that some people have paid into a paypal account that i was forced to close about 6 months ago..... Even knowing that i listed the correct account on ebay.... And it looks like the payments have gone through....

  21. Teaser shot And it looks like a found by accident a better spot for the rear solenoids.
  22. Have to remember that Cool, i'll see about getting out there a bit earlier to hit up the same spot you was at before. It was a bit busy when we went out there about a fortnight ago
  23. Ok who owns the panda ae86 that i spotted at the ridge shopping centre this avro ?? Come on fuss up. Looked very horn :lovin:
  24. Not trying to rain on your parade Taz Thats the spot Either that or my ke70 k50 is backwards :P
  25. That should be the one. Up towards the front of the box on the top passenger(left) side. There's only the one thing with a pair of wires hanging from it.
