  1. True, but there's no write-up of how to do it. Its just a tiny bit of what you do. Its a good write-up. You get my rep Mr E :jamie:
  2. I disagree on that - whitewalls on a late model car especially rims like that just looks plainly stupid. But Evan, you've got me thinking of re-painting my wheels. But not going as far as whitewalls. Looks good.
  3. Bloody heck man can i rub your belly ? I need a bit of good luck
  4. About three weeks to go peoples :D
  5. My god i was starting to freak. Running on microsoft exploder at the moment. Scary stuff
  6. I'm being picky on it 2:13 there's a wing type thing above his back window with a camera facing backwards and then at 2:15 its gone.... It wasn't there before hand at 1:55 :hmm:
  7. Yeah true true. I'd say maybe the reason they kept the tap is to try and show he can make a mistake. I like the bit where just after it them go to the in-cabin shot and he's mouthing "Phuck". They also did the same thing back in his first clip, where he does a slide in an area thats "fenced off" with a wooden bank. Takes out about half the bank along with half his rear section of the car, but in the next shot its all back together again.... Ditto, i liked the u-r-a-bus more. Long time no hear, Tommy. Good to see your still kicking :D
  8. I'd say he's done more then just practice on the course. Like, when you see the on-board external camera shots and then go to the distance shots where's the on-car cameras ? I get the feeling he's gone though a section with the on-car camera mounted, stopped, taken the camera off and re-started. Its all sections joined together.
  9. Surely that rock didn't fall out of the tree
  10. The bearing can be replaced, but for the effort of having to use a bearing press and what not. You'll find it easier just to toss the old one over your left shoulder as the new one is getting fitted up.
  11. there's this one for sale :D
  12. Whereas i had to cut mine up and modify it with a ke70 x-member
  13. I've got the same thing on mine. Was thinking it was oil temp but oil level might be the better shot.
  14. Yeah i've noticed that one with the members list But the FAQ has gone for a walk..... :hmm: all the way back to the title page http://www.rollaclub.com/
  15. Good, i'm not the only one. But when the motors running its fine I've been pondering the idea of an electric pump
  16. 3k fuel pump - just make sure you use the spacer for the 3k pump. The one for the 5k is different. and early ke55 4k carby and manifold. I couldn't be arsed in trying to rebuild the 5k carby which lead into me not wanting to be arsed in modding the 5k pump so that it could be used on the 4k carby. So far the only problems i've come across is that quite often the fuel filter is close to being empty.
  17. Post #6 For info on getting there etc etc
  18. Yeah 9/10 sounds the go. Amber's out at the perseverance dam this weekend - womens retreat or something. Going to have to see about dragging JiP along with us. Even if he is kickin and screamin
  19. I've got nothing against a locked diff (spool, detroit, soft lock) but there is a reason why their frowned upon by the law on the street. Personally i'd sooner go for either an air (or electric or, as in the case of some land cruisers cable) locker (which is approved) or an LSD. The only time i'd go for a spooled diff is in the front axle case of a part time 4wd.
  20. The head bolts are a "torque to yield" or what ever its called. Basically when you do the first run at the 30Nm you torque them down then when the rest of the runs are done at 90deg the bolts are getting stretched. Hence the dot is facing the back of the motor. Their meant to be a single shot item.
  21. Should have realized that one myself 12point not 16 i don't know why i put 16. I have one but i still use it from time to time Three passes up to 55-64Nm in the Max Ellery book Whereas in the Sept 1989 4a-fe,4a-ge toyota blue book its - 29Nm, 90deg, 90deg with the dot facing to the rear. Whereas again Aug 1983 2a, 3a, 3a-c, 4a-c, 4a-ge toyota blue book its three stages up to 55-64Nm
  22. Maybe mod the arms for some anti-tramp. Its either increase the length of the bottom arm or change the location of where the top arm bolts to the car body and move it up. Can't remember which one. Either that or drive it in the wet and you wouldn't have to worry about those pesky tramps hanging around as much. ;)
  23. Hehe My guess is that the 16 point bolts were done so that mechanics would stop rounding the heads off. You'll need a deep socket for the job - unless you've already figured it out. I thought the same thing when i came across the head tightening sequence 30Nm, 90deg, 90deg. Pain in the arse idea Came across a "three stage" in one of the books i have - i think. When i can i'll have a hunt for it
  24. A 3k with all that crap. I was rather taken back when i found my 5k had it. I was thinking that the "K" motors never had the air injection crap. Whats happen with the two speed ?
  25. What a present for yourself ;) Have a good one.
