  1. No, the forums over there seem to be lacking activity. I couldn't find any active people selling them anymore. I'll be shooting through some PM's in the next couple of days depending on how busy I am kept with work.
  2. Getting the logos for AE82.net stencils together as I want one made for the daily. I'll make a few if there's a couple of guys that want them. Bonus points for hi-res/vector images of the logos.
  3. Happened to me in my old panel van - just put in a bigger capacity fuse and it stopped blowing. Probably just going to be a bad ground or something though.
  4. Yes please. Can't wait to see some progress.
  5. I've always had a little bit of a soft spot for the sedans - although I think I still prefer the flat back hatches. In the long run I would like to drop a 4AGE in there - no rush though, I'll end up waiting around for a wrecked twinky that I can transplant everything (rear brake setup up and fuel set up also). PM'd.
  6. Some of the parts you have sourced for this are incredible. Love your work. And you take some sweet photos!
  7. +1 for a recommendation. If someone has had bars re-chromed as well I would love to know what it might set me back and if there are certain methods I should pursue or steer clear of. To my understanding there are a couple of methods used.
  8. The AE82 will be running a 4A-C, the 4A-FC was in the later AE92s etc. The head will go on to the 4A-C and has been done before but it will require almost the same amount of work as dropping an entire 4A-GE. By far your best and easiest option would be to find a AE82 twin cam donor car and moving the entire package with the loom, rear brake setup (they came with disc brakes, not drums) and also the fuel tank (for the better pump etc). This simplifies everything as you don't have to modify much at all and you can just use all the Twinky wiring. If you're serious about it, donor car is the way to go unless you find a complete package of everything you need. Which is what I will be doing when the 4A-C in my AE82 shits itself. There's heaps on information out there on this as well. These forums, ae82.net and toymods are your friend. P.S http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/13-general-mechanical/ that's the place you wanna post mechanical questions!
  9. My biggest haul ever from a new corolla - a whopping $13.35c! Spent the day undoing a lot of what had been modified on the car. The air filter and everything that was on there was horrendous IMO. Heaps of stuff to sell though! Old one back on. The old one - lol. Had a near new saas bucket seat in there! Bolted so far back without slides that it touched the back seat! That muffler was also "fitted". It was exhaust wrapped to the existing cut piping and hose clamped together. So having a muffler fitted will be the first cost to the car. It had a fog horn from an old ship or some shit, heavy cast iron thing! I'll grab a picture soon. Funny, but I took it out and wired up the old horn. It seems everything done to the car is at least undoable. It also had a bunch of gauges that I removed. A portion of the wiring I removed from it today. And a night shot.
  10. After looking around for a cheap daily for a while this popped up. AE82 4 door sedan running a stock but cleaned up 4AC to 3 speed auto. Some random wheels with king springs all round (found the receipt for $360!). I'm giving a budget build a bit of a crack with this one - I picked her up for $200, bargain. The paint is great, interior and motor need a little love, but it runs and drives. Happy with the purchase all in all. Running tally (will be updated as time goes on. Car: -$200 Change in car: +13.35 Total: $186.65
  11. I love cleaning this car. I also put on these cool wipers that I had lying around - I have no clue what they are from.
  12. I have been informed that I am required to work. Enjoy guys.
  13. Called up all of the local powdercoaters and abrasion blasting near me and all told me the same thing - don't blast them. Soda blasting would work but would be expensive and I'd have to travel to North Brissy. I'm going to tough it out and do them myself start to finish - I'll appreciate the result much more that way anyway. It would have been great - hopefully when then become extinct someone creative builds them as kit cars. I'd love to have a brand new one when I'm retired.
  14. Looks fantastic! Wheels are perfect for keeping it sleeper. The power your making must feel awesome! Love your work...
  15. Looked pretty the other day.
  16. I just made up another couple of hundred stickers - RC logo, TEQ and Rolla Life are now overstocked.
  17. Autosol is great when it isn't on the built up stuff - you need to use a whole lot of it when doing so. I switched to cutting with Kitten Cutting Compound, it's working an absolute treat!
  18. Sisal + a quality cutting compound. I can't wait to see how they go when completely cut and polished. I'll post up on local forums to see if someone will lend me a hand for a six pack... Looks like it worked a treat. If not I'll just continue doing it manually.
  19. My alternator is fried - https://www.youtube....h?v=4rEOrlM1Znw I'll look in to those drill attachments - I've always done my polishing by hand with polishing steel wool! I do want to get the inner barrels clean though. So far... Took bloody ages just to get to this. 5 minute test with steel wool and polish compound. Would definitely be easy with power tools involved.
  20. Day off today - started attempting to clean up the MA wheels that I have - I've put in around 4 hours work in to them and made almost no progress. Cleaning the inside of the barrels is near impossible - 30 years of break dust and crap is caked on and the face has the occaional spots that need 30 minutes of cleaning to remove a spot. Is there a product that I could use other than heavy duty degreaser etc that would work better? Or could I have them blasted or would this damage the wheels?
  21. Yep! Just had to get the finances in order to grab them! Going to look awesome!
  22. Just paid for some metal bars. I love rare shit. Can't wait for them to get here!
  23. I'm really liking having some kind of feed on the homepage that's getting updated. Would love to see this become frequent. EDIT: Even having some form of RC Highlights updates on the front page maybe? That would be awesome!
