  1. RE001>KU31 I'll live with them for street use though, just going to throw some semi's on the set of MA61 wheels I have lying dormant for the track.
  2. I'm yet to see one in person and only know of a few in the country!
  3. I would do filthy things to get one of these. I really enjoy seeing things done well. Keep it up.
  4. Cheers dude. I kind of like the authentic look at the moment. I really like these wheels so I might have them full refurbed further on down the line. I also think I might wind down the coils a bit on the front, seems to have a decent amount of room before it will rub.
  5. ^^^^^^ Honestly though, I think I'll be heading for 15's next. I do enjoy the look of 14's though and you can still get decent semi slicks to fit the 14's so that kept me with them. Actually, I work for (FL)Optus now. Nothing incrediballs! I find just as much of a kick out of researching parts etc. for the car as I do putting them on, that's all. Hey, Merry Christmas as well fellas. Hope it's a happy and safe one.
  6. I like KYB and will continue to use them for a while yet. Affordable and I'm yet to have an issue with them even when driven hard. I use KYB AGX in the front and the Excel-G in the rear of mine.
  7. I know :) They no longer make an RE in a 185x60x14 or anything close. Sporty styles seem to be a shit compound and wouldn't be a better option than the KU31, there's also the new T001 from Bridgestone but even that seems like it wouldn't perform as highly... RE001 were my first preference as I have a set at the minute on the Hurricanes and they are honestly 10/10 for a street tyre. A little trial and error never hurt anyone so I'll give the KU31's a crack, if not I heard there is a decent Falken tyre in similar sizes. Even the KU31 are getting hard to get though being discontinued also.
  8. Could't get me anymore RE001's so I'm trying out a set of KU31's now, will be interesting to see how they compare.
  9. Not too much to report unfortunately. I swapped the prelude seats out for some MA61 seats like I had in the old Panelvan - I love them. I really want to find some nice ones in blue but they are rare as hell. I picked these bad boys up though. Yissssssss. 14x7-1 & 14x7.5-7.5
  10. I gave it the TL;DR took my a few seconds to see that was the dizzy. Love me a Twinky, gotta get me another one! 15's will look awesome when a little lower.
  11. Sweet read - thanks for the time and effort put in to that. +1
  12. I should have mentioned specifically in emergency situations. As you said though with the flew in the larger sidewalls that could also diminish tyre life as well though couldn't it? From my perspective it looks like manufacturers will have to put a lot more money and time in to the design and quality of suspension components to factor in for changes. It makes sense, but sadly I feel new cars now days are absolute rubbish in build quality. I definitely won't be purchasing a near new car any time soon.
  13. Interesting read. I would like to see write up from the perspective on safety, sure reducing tyre sizes are great for economy but I'm pretty surprised the decrease to traction and braking aren't present apart from a sentence on aquaplaning.
  14. Hey there mate. Welcome to the Rolla Life. The fronts you have a couple of options, Lowered springs and quality shorter shocks would make the ride and handling a lot better. (Cheap) Or you could look in to building some coil overs to throw in. (Expensive) For the leaf springs in the rear. Remove the blocks and go have the springs reset by a reputable suspension shop and throw some good shorter shocks in there to. These will make a massive difference to the ride of the car.
  15. Looks really good with the standard centre caps.
  16. Ahhh, my mistake! And your signature just answered my question - A60 is the code for Charmant? Do you get both CE and Charmants there?
  17. I'd be hunting down another TE71 before that happens. ;). They're old - definitely not a motor that is a drop in a play motor like the 4AGE, need work to pep them up. Dudes build them to be sub 10 second motors so they still have a lot of potential, can take a metric shit tonne of pressure in there when built correctly. I believe he's referring to the Daihatsu Charmant - never Aussie delivered but they are based on E7.
  18. I currently own a AE71 (4AGE), TE72 (3TC) and KE70 (4KC). Does that count?
  19. No real updates - I'm starting to save my dollars for a property. Until, I buy dis.
  20. Genreal encouragement post. Look to be doing good work dude, can't wait for more updates.
  21. Alright homies. Someone owed me a favour so I had a website built for free just to deal with the ordering process etc. I'll update the main post to reflect the change. I still have a lot more variety of stock that is yet to be added, I just want to see how the website will hold up to test the first few orders! http://www.rollalife.com.au
  22. 16v big port - anywhere between 500 to a tank consistently. If a standard 4k is running nicely, I imagine it would do the same.
  23. I'm hooked. What an incredible experience, couldn't have asked for anything more. The car held up extremely well with me trying to beat it to death, the people there were extremely helpful and friendly and I really rate that track. For what it is it's extremely fast flowing and challenging. I ended up with a PB of 1:09.90, I was aiming for 10's so I'm stoked to have broken that! Once I got over the nervousness of being out there the first time it was an absolute ball. Absolutely loved it.
  24. I was quoted $1342 full comprehensive with salvage with an agreed value of $6000. I have a clean driving record with zero at fault claims. Fully locked up garage and as a car not driven daily (2-5 trips weekly), no finance also. Although I'm very young (and still building rating), I'm responsible as hell on the roads which I understand doesn't change a thing. I'm going to pay my cars worth in insurance in a short few years. Your quote is still too high in opinion, mine is just absolutely ridiculous.
  25. Sorry for the delays on orders guys, I'm currently working out a better system to process orders as working full time and having to play around with taking details and stuff isn't very fun as all. Updates will be coming asap!
