ok so another question do all 32/36's have a mixture screw? the place where google tells me the mixture screw should be looks like it is blocked off. ive also ordered a ebay special timing light so when that arrives ill check the timing. can't see that being the issue tho since i havent touched any of the ignition components.

Ok so i pulled the top the carby last night and these are the jets in it Primary/secondary 140/135mains 160/175 air jets 50/55 low speed So couple questions, why are the secondary air jets larger than primary? I would have thought that it should at lest run with these settings. Stock 4k with extractors... Ive checked and i don't THINK there is an air leak, i used starter spray around intake and carby while it was trying to run and made no difference. Havent checked ignition timing yet, Ran very well with stock carby and exhaust This is a vid of what its doing

so have been doing a little but of work on it the last couple weeks. I've put on a set of extractors and a weber 32/36. Was hoping it would run but no such luck. Seems like running way too rich to get it driveable. Heres a vid - So if anyone has any spare jets that they arent using after getting theirs right let me know. Chasing: 130 mains 170 air correctors 50 idle This seems to be a general basline from what ive read - any feedback on that would be great as i don't really know what i'm doing in this department lol EDIT: mrs using my Iphone camera - doesnt get which way to hold it

this is where i am now. not too hard actually if you have a good base to work off hey extended the boot, changed the tail lights, lowered, front lip spoiler, rear air vent and changed rims. EDIT: Longer bonnet, changed front and rear lights to get rid of chrome surrounds from front and side view, longer body too and chopped roof

NinjaMekanik replied to NinjaMekanik's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
yeah thats the plan. have extractors now, might have to do a sneaky drive to the exhaust shop with nothing past the collector on the extractors :ninja: Cam regrind will be done at the same time as the box later coz ill take the engine/trans out.. from what ive heard doing the cam with engine still in is a prlck- 20 replies

Yeah have extractors ready to go in at the same time and will be doing a cam regrind when i put the 5 speed in. Yeah i was thinking the sale thing about the turbulence but ive heard that in some situations it helps? i don't know how true that is.... May need to get a die grinder as i was planning on using an angle grinder and do it as neat as possible but i spose you can only get so neat with an angle grinder..- 20 replies

Hello Guys, Question on the 4k intake manifold. I'm fitting a weber 32/36 and have an adaptor plate. As i don't know as much about carby stuff i thought id put the question up here. My adaptor plate is an oval shape however the ports (i guess you can call them that) on the manifold where the original carby bolts up is two circles, one smaller than the other. My question is, if i remove the centre of this to make it the same shape as the adaptor plate will this help or hinder air fuel flow? Photos show what i mean. The part shaded in red is what i would be removing. Before After
