I'm a big fan of engine noise... Amongst my favourites are nice high revving inline NA 4's, boosted inline 6's (JZ's in particular, maybe biased cos I own one :lol: ) and of course a deep chunky old school big block V8. But for me, nothing... NOTHING beats the noise of a boosted Toyota bent 8. Especially from inside the cabin... I even got a semi driving a V8 turbodiesel cruiser with twin pipes the other day :hmm:

Ah yep... was going uphill (rather STEEP uphill) at slow speed, blazing a new track and mowing down small saplings as I went. One of the saplings was evidently not so easily flattened, and the nose of the bike basically shot up and then flipped backwards.... and yeah we ended up in the uncomfortable sandwich Hiro so accurately described :) I managed to catch the bike as it was coming back down and divert it to the side slightly. Things would have been considerably nastier had I not...

3rg gen honda prelude seats are nice, very huggy and skinny so they fit into the cramped confines of a rolla. You'll find a lot of seats won't. They're also quite easy to adapt as the seat base is very low and square,

I rolled a quadbike arse over tit (well technically speaking it was tits over arse cos I flipped it backwards) onto my head today. Luckily, Mrs. Shades was on the back to break my fall backwards.... :) but that didn't stop the quad from landing directly on top of both of us shortly thereafter. Ouch. quadbike = 1 soft squishy easily damaged humans = 0

Reminds me of the time I picked up a very old 18RG. It ran, but badly... so in the process of changing all the fluids and plugs etc, I managed to break off a spark plug electrode down into number 2 cylinder. I fired it up anyway... It made a godawful noise for about 20 seconds while I held the revs up until the errant electrode made its way out out the cylinder, into the exhaust, and blew primary muffler apart. Good times, good times. :)

Upwardly mobile secretaries and less-successful real estate agents will covet them... all women... no man (unless he prefers the company of men) will buy one. As such, performance values are irrelevant. The MPS is mildly interesting, unfortunately the reverse-halo effect of the base models will ensure it is never a true competitor to the WRX.

There's an artist up here in Cairns by the name of Rod Ramage who has his entire car done with this effect. It actually looks kinda cool...

EP91 Starlets are awesome. IMO a much better car than the Echo that superseded it... which is why they still command very good money. I used to have one and I miss it dearly :P

Karaoke + Asians. This is going to sound terribly racist, but even the perpetrators of aforementioned woeful crooning agree, so I'm in the clear. Why is it that the race of people LEAST able to sing have such a penchant for karaoke? I work for myself, in a yard in an industrial estate. Next door is a large shed, where a group of chinese christians have set up shop to do their chinese christian-y things. Sundays they rock up and do their thang... and afterwards there's a bit of high volume praise the lord-ing going on and I'm cool with that... thats what ya do on sunday when you're a christian. But when the f*ckers turn up mid morning on a weekday and bust out with the most godawful chinese love ballads, volume turned up to 11, for several godforsaken hours and STILL NOT MANAGING TO HIT ONE SINGLE NOTE CORRECTLY THE WHOLE TIME... I get slightly peeved. That is all.
