  1. Hi Richard. Looks like youve found the stripe you wanted. Looks sweet. Alone again... naturally. lol.
  2. don't do it, its unsafe. It wont have droop, if you drive it hard your wheels will be airborne at important moments.
  3. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/20-engine-conversions/ Two links at the top of the list. Read em. Both relating to rwd 4age conversions, both 16v and 20v.
  4. manifolds, mounts, gearbox, spigot bearing, water fittings, sometimes alternator arrangements depending on how keen you are to copy the ae86 water kit. All these parts are factory bits from toyota so you can just buy it and build it without needing much if any fabrication.
  5. You don't, you cap it off, bin the toyota ecu and use the sensor in the dizzy to check cam position for ignition. This only relates to 20v 4ages, all the 16v models have the dissy at the side.
  6. Need a few minor custom bits. Bellhousing, inlet and exhaust manifolds, mounts, tailshaft, sump and oil pickup, cooling system. Also need a high end aftermarket ECU to control the direct cylinder injection, and someone who can work out how to tune it to make the most of the DCI. Alternatively you can run a stock ecu as long as you can get past the security and other integrated shot that will mke it a nightmare to fit in a different chassis. I'm doing a 2azfe, its quite a custom job, the motor is tall, but very light so its a nice idea to plonk it in there in place of a K motor which isnt much lighter.
  7. I popped in the other night to see Terry. Man there was some cool rides. Enjoy!
  8. Been collecting parts and working on this when I can. I just ordered some new genuine Toyota Handbrake cables for it. Pretty much all the holes the previous owner driller or cut have been closed up, and I've welded up the rust. I really need to find a hatch and bonnet in Brisbane, or I'm going to end up buying carbon ones from Seibon that will cost me $1500. I also picked up a halfcut that I can raid a lot of nitty gritty sort of bts from, the bonnet release cable, vents, underdash bracing etc. Ive got a massive lawnmower box of bits ready to go and be powdercoated, I wonder if the powdercoaters at Langford Metal Industries were flooded out.
  9. dubrolles car...
  10. I'm not sure if I have the front end caps spare, I know I have the pair I need and a slanty pair, but no spare fronts, Ill have a look though. I might have a spare rear pair come to think of it from a ke70 pano chrome bumper. Does that help anyone?
  11. Thank you! Someone gets it.
  12. Bolt a lump of big chain to the wheel studs then smash it with a sledge hammer of massive heavy steel rod.
  13. Like any motor from the current gen of any car, you need to decipher the body security shite to master a stock ecu, whereas I think an aftermarket ecu is the better option. Adaptronic have a product to run a 2grfe and not that expensive either.
  14. I thought the four runner vz was only sohc and really not quite as quick or worth the effort. There are different Toyota V6 motors that will rwd better than a VZ, and all alloy, but still very pricey (GR). If youre just looking bang for buck hp try an SR20. Lighter motor and plenty of power in a corolla. Even atmo would be decent, a bit gruntier than a 4age.
  15. Sorry Mate. I have only one near perfect Pano Chrome bar for the front, and end caps to suit either slanty or flat front. I have no rear bar. I have a mate who might make me some stainless steel replicas however.
  16. The AE71 van doesnt have a 4 link rear like the sedan or the ae86, so you can't run the T series diff from a Jap ae86. Best to look for an f series leaf rear from an old lux and an lsd for it from an ma61. Much less fiddling and a bigger stronger commercial type diff for the van.
  17. They look like the sportmax work equip copies, Id perfer to get the original equips, but yes they look good.
  18. Well the rust proves it is a corolla. No doubt. I love your car. :P Makes me want to paint the DX front and put that on my car instead.
  19. Youd be amazed how resilient the thing will be if it wasnt running when it entered the water. Fresh fluids and a heck of a clean and she will be ok. I got a nice pressure washer here just itching to clean up some flood crud if that helps...
  20. Hi Chris, Yes real soon as now my shed has 2 drive thru booths in it and an open faced undercoat booth. Give me a couple of weeks and itll be done.
  21. perfect. I'm gonna lower my wienermobile!
  22. KE70 has 4.3 for auto and 4.1 for manual. AE71 has 4.1 for auto and 3.9 for manual. But at the end of the day who knows what has been swapped over the years. Its unlikely any of the different ratios are from factory variations, most likely people swapping things after the fact when something breaks.
  23. Hey welcome and very nice car you have. The AE86 would look a lot better too if you had rims to fill the arches. With flare like that you need 10s.
