  1. my space is my living room. +1
  2. Love the colour, love the motor. Its all been said before, but I love this car. Id love to see more footage of you blowing unsuspecting cars away.
  3. I think the 'wider community' who have judged him so, are the same 'wider community' who trashed his street. I'm not saying hes not a douchebag, I'm just saying there is no need to punish anybody for a crime they have not committed. This type of thing opens up a worm hole of liability for everyone, just you wait and see. What ever happened to being responsible for your own actions. Let the angry mob go, they arent responsible.
  4. I feel so sorry for him. So he threw a stupid open house party, weve all done it. Have we forgotten that he didn't trash anything, it was strangers who did the damage. Heaven forbid the cops might actually pursue the actual perpetrators and charge them. I can't believe the wider community is outraged at the child, and not the crashers who f@$ked it all up. Ever heard of evidence, and detective work? May as well ban myspace while were at it. Its obviously the cause of all this drama, if you work by the same logic that makes the kid responsible.
  5. These details can vary with the type of bellhousing you use. Are you using a dellows one, or an asian made anonymous jobbie? The person who sells you the bellhousing should know what its spaced for. One would assume it would use the 4age flywheel and pressure plate, but the throwout bearing, clutch disc and spigot may be different with a W box.
  6. Me too. Thats cleancut Des. Schmoove. Car looks sick. Love the colour.
  7. Hi everyone. The discussion started by my apprenticeship topic has got me thinking. What do we all do for a living, like, how diverse a group are the rollaclub members?
  8. Couldnt agree with you more, Kangas. Has been in the paper, no takers. We tried the high school thing, no good. The teachers refused to recommend anyone in the grade. Tried TAFE too, all the prevos were useless. Thought Id stand a good chance of finding someone who is a little like-minded and possibly already good with their hands by having a dip here on Rollaclub. To no avail so far... Most important to us is that the person is motivated from within, and willing to come in and learn each and every day. There would be no free passes, regardless of age. We had to earn it, so will you. That said, if we can find someone who is ready and willing to accept the shit paychecks to start off with, and get over it, we can provide you with so much more than money in the long run. Its very hard sometimes for a young person to commit to something wholeheartedly enough to follow a 4 year process through to the bitter end. By the same token it can be hard for an older person to break the mould so to speak, with their work habits, social habits, and families needs all on their mind. We need someone who will look forward to the day they finish, not payday. It could be anyone, male or female, old or young. The right person is the person willing to commit to the process and start their education in good faith. If you will never accept the money you will never be taught the skills, simple as that. I accepted the money when I was 21 and living in Brisbane for the first time. Now I accept more than my fair share of money, from the work I co-ordinate and do each day. Sadly, it seems that most people would rather keep the money their on, even if its crap, just to avoid needing to go through a lifestyle change and a pay cut, despite the massive long term benefits of being a tradesperson. Invest in yourself. Do an apprenticeship.
  9. What will you do to lower the compression?
  10. Still no-one whos suitable has been found, any one out there who wants the big bucks (eventually)?
  11. 7AGE, just putting it out there...
  12. In a smaller car you wil notice a bigger difference, what do you drive? Cam it up, and a nice carby too.
  13. Oh cool an 86 on rollaclub. Looks nice and tidy, nice score!!
  14. You could always get your own blade master decals for the ke. And these plates.
  15. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Main_Page
  16. Just give every competitor a side arm. Id definately shoot anyone who attacked me similarly, no worries at all. Wouldnt we all? If its self defence. People die in this event all the time, as 7shades said, they are prepared to die already pretty much, if it comes to it. Freedom of choice.
  17. Lots of good reading there. Seems like a lot of risks/engineering required to make it work but Ill be impressed if you can. How do you expect to get so much power when its only 3/4 as explosive as petrol? Youll have better mileage...
  18. Whats the 85 percent ethanol fuel like, have you always used it?
  19. Pics of engine and interior? Please Please Please. What you gonna do with it?
  20. Well thats a big job (pedals), but they do sell extra long bosskits and wheel spacers for a reason. Its coming along quite well for such a new build. Id never have the guts to take on so much rust, but this car will be worth it for sure. And as the late Peter Brock said, "Bite off more than you can chew, then chew like hell."
  21. You want it closer so its away from the stalks. When your driving hard you don't want to be hitting blinkers and wiperes and such.
  22. So no-ones keen to learn skills to pay bills? Ill open it up to older people too since the government will pay you what the apprentice wage won't.
  23. Your just gonna have to bend over and take it until you are over 25 and rating one for life. Third party, fire and theft is all I would get on a rolla unless my car was extremely unique, or under finance. If it were extremely unique Id consult a broker for the best insurance. I have third party fire and theft on the red car, which was only around 230 dollars a year and has my engine conversion, coilovers, ecu and future big brakes covered. Its nice to have a never at fault driving record, and to now be finally over 25.
  24. I really like your air segregation setup. Very clever.
  25. Gt28rs, hks manifold, fmic, new exhaust, ecu, wires, tune, smiles.
