  1. Ford owners can't drive either, as my last trip to Toowoomba taught me. A p plater was fishying up a street in the CBD in pouring rain with pedestrians and a full line of parked cars up either side in metered spaces, including mine. Thankfully no drift damage. He even looked at me and gave a couple of pumps of his fist, to which I shook my head and gave a thumbs down. He actually hung his head in shame upon seeing my response. I felt very satisfied with that outcome. Just like our friend above, this gent will have his moment soon enough. End rant.
  2. The ethanol can slowly destroy the plastic float in some carbs, so be wary of it.
  3. Talk to an auto electrician. He will answer your questions and not charge you a cent.
  4. Got a triple core recore quote on an ae71 radiator, wasn't much change from $500 most places.
  5. The motor should lean towards the extractors 5-6 degrees. Looks like a fwd carb manifold.
  6. READ ALL THIS: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Main_Page
  7. Fish around and look for shorts. Look at where the wires go through the body and make sure the metal edges are protected and not damaging the wires. Do a physical inspection of the wires and look for damage or stiff dry cooked wires. Check the grounds from engine to body. Still not fixed? Call a sparky?
  8. The one at wacol was red...
  9. Tally, I have a few more pics of the mazda if you want em. The wreckers at wacol had a ke 55 oxy mobile too for ages.
  10. Doh. Thats gay. Time for the w box and 1uz then?
  11. Not a corolla but could be just as cool... Spotted on my way to work today.
  12. The three Cs' if you want more hp. Carburettors, camshafts, compression. can't go wrong.
  13. I believe you mean master, not slave? On that asumption you will have to drill some holes in the right spots to fit the things yes. The manifold is up to you, its your car, do whatever has to be done.
  14. Try bleeding them, which can be as simple as finding the little bleed valve, undoing it a bit and pumping the air out of the system with the pedal. Failing that, you have to look at everything and decide whats stuffed. Buy a Gregorys Service manual if you have a few bucks. Saves needing to ask these types of simple things. It will have a troubleshooting guide too.
  15. I use RA40 ends/turnbuckles and its fine with rona arms.
  16. Spotted a white, clean looking except for one dent, ke2x 4 door. Driven by a cute young chick in period specific sunglasses, lol. Turning onto Oxley Rd, Oxley. Gave a toot and thumbs up, she gave a confused giggle.
  17. Heres a pic from a recent cruise...
  18. What kills me is that they see it as a solution. I guarantee you speeders will just slow down for 2 or 3 hundred metres then go back to top speed. This is possibly the laziest, most thinly veiled revenue raising way to deal with the issue of road tolls. I'm a bit ashamed that in QLD, we would resort to this and not be the state to lead the way to lower road tolls through driver training and skill development.
  19. There are ECU pinout patterns available on some websites. You could study that and try to work it out. This is one of those things that seems really hard, until you give it a go and muddle through. If you are just chucking a RWD engine loom and standard ecu in the car then you should be able to more or less plug and play with it. There will be a few power feeds and grounds to connect, and posssibly some routing issues depending on where you can stuff the ecu. You will need to wire up a short engine harness, like a 4ac rwd one from ae86/71, to trigger the starter, connect reverse lights and oil pressure warning light. Hope this helps.
  20. Fixed Speed camera locations It has been revealed to Roadsmart the locations of the first fixed speed cameras in Queensland. Police have said that these locations have been chosen specifically due to the fact that they are not safe locations to have police, or police in vehicles operating the mobile cameras. The first of three trial fixed speed cameras will be positioned on the * Tarragindi Off-ramp (M1) on Brisbane's Southside * Bruce Highway at Burpengary * East side of the Story Bridge, targeting vehicles travelling from both directions Discuss.
  21. Didnt they already redo it at least once in the warranty period? Get what you can for free and then modify the crap out of it once it clicks over.
  22. I'm so excited, I'm just about to watch the Ultimate Fighter, s6 ep9!! Woot.
  23. Actually saw an sw20 that looked hot today. Shocked me too, Black, low, overrated, tint, turbo. For the aw11 i suggest something from the same era as the car. Period specific FTW.
  24. 1200 for a silvertop is too much. When BMI has them in stock they are 750. I bought my blacktop complete with extractors, flywheel, alternator, starter and partial loom for 1250 from BMI.
  25. Hopefully, but Floyd has the ability to outclass people you wouldn't expect he could.
