  1. I have 6kg coil overs with Monroe's inserts, and the rear has cut old pedders springs and monroe gt gas commodoore shocks. Handles great. I estimate the spring rates to be 6kg front (confirmed) and 2.5kg rear. Hooks up great and puts power down. Bugger all body roll too. You need a tiny bit and thats what I have got. Its a really good traction based setup.
  2. They are FWD, but this is only a problem if you want to do donuts and drifting. You can tune for handling very well with fwd. Ive seen one pop up once that looked hot. Sedan shape, full kit, gunmetal respray, rims, suspension tuning. Looked awesome. Absolutely awesome. Have a google for some inspiration.
  3. Just priced shipping on a solid gearbox mount for my car. Item is $50US, shipping is $63US. Why don't they just say "no, I wont ship internationally?" $63, and its no bigger than a spindle of CDs. Idiots. Anyone seen anything similar? Seems like it happens on every second item I query.
  4. Topic is now in appropriate section.
  5. I hate the idea, but the proof is in the pudding. Terrific car, must be a lot of fun to drive.
  6. don't like your choice in wheels, but thats a hot bay!! Well done. You can cane them so don't be shy with the right foot. How did it go with an auto?
  7. Love the last photo. Reminds me of Des.
  8. Drinking is fun and all but I like to be able to drive whenever I want. So its a mild intake of nice spirits and selected Euro beers for me. In mega-moderation.
  9. if anyones keen... PM me. Last chance.
  10. Can we get back on topic please? What other wheels will fit?
  11. Depends what you are after. Do you know what you want?
  12. Sounds like you just found a new way to get a fatter swaybar in a sedan. It should fit. Swaybars can be manipulated a bit.
  13. You obviously haven't faced the problems Ive faced with the factory gauge in my 71. Hmm, getting hot. Whack on top of the cluster, oh back to normal.
  14. Havent you just answered your own question?
  15. Spotted Irokin in his baby blue machine on Mt Crosby Rd. Also, spotted a mettallic Brown Keto, debadged, lowered, with primer patches around the Serwood/Rocklea area.
  16. Keeping your speedo true is the worst reason Ive ever heard for selecting a diff ratio.
  17. Quads, definately the quads.
  18. Wow, fooled me. Thought they were Starsharks. I'm so silly.
  19. Thats a nice wheel for a rust bucket.
  20. Call the police, thats molestation.
  21. you'd have to be crazy to trust a 20 or more year old factory temp gauge, with no numbers on it. Cmon dude, 3 wires, one power feed, one ground, one signal. don't hook the light up if your lazy.
  22. Yeah its a real pain unless you know what you are doing. Do it properly. Pay someone, the rest of the ke70 your building is so awesome, you could get professional wiring for that finishing touch, and you will have someone to blame if it buggers up one day.
  23. http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ They sell new ke70 panels. They have a limitied range. They should have the gaurd though. Lets hope they ship to norway.
  24. Blacktop rods arent as shoddy as people think. Its rpm that is hardest on rods, more so than boost. That is unless you have shocking fuel/pinging/poor advance settings. I don't see how the 4age with the best top end and highest factory revlimit can have the weakest rods. It just doesnt make sense to me. Does anybody know of someone who has actually had a blacktop rod fail under boost or rpm? don't tell me what youve "heard", I want to hear from someone who knows they suck for a fact. The worst thing Ive heard of is spun bearings. Just like any motor.
