  1. That rain we just had recently really made things interesting out in the forestry, where there were dryed up creek beds are now rivers! Certainly makes it fun!
  2. its a petty though, it looked to be a real tidy ke70 before they rally'd the thing. yeah man, took the hard top out, damaged both sills due to lack of ground clearance, you should come out with us one time when your not busy?
  3. Well where do i start.......................... My mates and i went out bush today, off roading in our corolla's to be more exact, lol! Just thought id give a bit of inspiration to littleredspirit and beerhead to get their lowballer on the road sooner! It's sooooooo much fun, although the pictures don't give a true description of the terrain, but you get the idea. not too bad I need more suspension travel!! Someone put this old ke70 to rest! its steeper than it looks, look at the trees!
  4. They're the ones he needs!
  5. People down there mustn't wreck the old rolla's since they are still getting around, Most of the old rolla's up here ive bought and stripped! lol!
  6. [quote name='LittleRedSpirit' date='Aug 30 2007, 07:00 PM' post='194684' Do you have a car you don't mind thrashing too? Certainly do! the tops of the headlights have already been aquainted with water! (thats deep in a rolla) lol! No people showed up with the money to buy it so I'm useing it!
  7. Definatly would have to agree with the rover v8, i had an early range rover, the "v" in the engine is alot more vertical, as opposed to a 308 or ford clevo, personally i don't think that the rover v8 would be an issue in a rolla engine bay when it comes to width, sump mods would definatly have to be done or reversed to be exact, and the best thing about the rover v8, alloy block and heads, pretty much the whole engine is alloy, and what 7shades said, are unreliable but when running good they go great for the little package that they are! cheers phatke30!
  8. OH MY GOD!!!! You's two have to get the car going real soon! i can take you's out to the forestry north of here and show you some awsome creek crossings, hill climbs, almost anything you want!
  9. Looking good john! Man, you have a llllllloooooonnnnnnnnggggggggggg road ahead of you when it comes to projects! good luck mate, oh also phatke20's may have a certain black ke36 wagon at his work if there is much left of it? Be good for glass and tailgate jip? is it still there dougy?
  10. While your down there terry, you should pick a couple of rolla's up for me! :D cheers phatke30!
  11. can't wait to see this thing on the road! :P
  12. Great to see the 30 2door got saved!
  13. You don't have to, mine work fine on my ke30 with the ke55 calipers, up to you though, coln72, you just use the ke30 backing plate, bolt pattern and offset for the calliper is the exact same as the ke55, cheers phatke30!
  14. Thanks guys, obviously the major retailers are the most expensive, I'm going to ring up the smaller independents, problem is i don't get a chance during the week as i finish work late. Ive never heard of noltec, are they a major wharehouse? or do they have their own retail stores throughout aus? Similar to pedders? Anyways I'm looking into it, cheers phatke30!
  15. Heya guys! Ive been on the phone this arvo ringing up and enquireing prices on re-bushing the entire suspension in my ke30 (front and rear), I'm just wanting to buy the bushes and do it all myself. Must be nolathane or better, all the guestimates i got were all over $300? is this in the ball park? i rebushed another ke30 over 4 years ago and to do the whole front end was a little over $100, how times have changed! If anyone could point me in the direction of a autoparts wholesaler or reasonally priced place it would be greatly appreciated, i just thinks the prices now are a little steep for what little you get, located in brissy. cheers, phatke30!
  16. hey there fella, ke55 callipers have the same bolt pattern as the ke30's, also use the same hoses as well. cheers phatke30!
  17. Somebody save that KE30 2DOOR SEDAN!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Might have to go down there for a looksie myself. :P
  19. Thats so sweet!
  20. See you's all soon! lol!
  21. hey there mate, okey doke, -pedal assembly, yes -clutch cable, yes -just a manual flywheel, they are both the same between 4 & 5 speeds -just use the 2 speed toyoglide tailshaft, as it will fit the manual box( 2 speed auto and 4 speed boxes are both the same length and output shaft spline) -gearbox crossmember and mount are both the same between auto and manual - and last of all its just a matter of try and see when it comes to the shifter hole hope this helps mate! cheers, phatke30!
  22. "Changes"- note and noted!
  23. When i beat them in my stock looking 30 they get the shits real bad! lol! just a thought dougy, maybe and if a ta22 celica comes into your work it would more than likely be cheaper to get the whole car? then you could remove all the running gear, cross members, clutch setup, pedal box, radiator...etc..........etc? You'd save a shitload of money rather than if you had to buy all the bits and pieces individually! just a thought, cheers phatke30!
  24. aaaaaaaaaggggggggggggg(drools).......3t......2tg head=pppppppoooooowwwwwwwaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!!!!!(not exactly drag material dougy! lol!)
  25. lol! I'm sure we have all tried this at some stage, when stupid me put 2 stroke through my engine, it ran fine, just blew a bit of smoke, only thing that happened to my engine was that the oil in the fuel clogged up the idle jet in the carby, nothing that carby cleaner couldnt fix :y: ! In your post you say smoke? and oil? are coming from your pc valve? either the pc valve isnt operating as it should(pc valve needs to be connected to a vacuum source, not your catch can)or your rings are on their way out? your engine could be building up pressure? checked your oil breathers for blockages? and as for your engine running rough..............it could be anything co-incidental?(is that how you spell it?). cheers, phatke30!
