  1. If you get a bespoke built 6 point, you don't have that problem. I've had many cars with 6 points, and the hard part, especially as one gets older, is getting over the side intrusions. At least you have a 20. They have a higher roof line than a 25. As Trev said though, no 6 point for the road in NSW.
  2. Half cage for a halfwit. Won't do much unless you tie it in with side intrusions to the front wheel arch.
  3. NSW. They're a bit funny on cages down there.
  4. You need a cage. Full stop. Nothing else you do really will prevent the car being turned into a pretzel in fairly short order. It's not a full chassis, and if you seem weld a 40 y.o chassis, it may do something, but it won't do much. When you start punching out that Hp, you need to make a decision whether you want a quick road car, or a quick drag car. Because you won't have both. Not in a 20.
  5. No it is not a fuel return. It's a breather.
  6. Yep they do that. Who set up your SU's? The guys that did mine spaced the bowl with about 3/8" of exhaust pipe (for various reasons unknown to myself, suffice to say it worked.....). It still ocasionally leaked fuel, and thus I ran a tee'd drain line (2 carbies) to somewhere out of the way for surplus fuel to exit to. I'll see if I can find a pic.
  7. Voted. Shouldn't have put that last option Trev. :D Personally, I've been in Melbourne a lot recently, so when at home, been catching up on "home" stuff....
  8. You can root around with it as much as you like, but they'll never be better than "pretty good". Get thee to a Dyno, have them sorted by someone who knows their way around a carbie (rarer than you think...) and you'll never have to touch them again. And you'll never want to as you'll be too busy driving around looking for tunnels to drive through to hear the induction noise. :D
  9. WB Irontite. Clagged up my Sigma back in the day for about 6 months. However, follow the directions to the letter.
  10. That just confirms to me that you've never driven a car with said gearbox. Save your money and either get a decent rebuild or look at a w series box. You'll be much happier with the result.
  11. Pfitzners, Albins, although I don't think they'll be "off the shelf". They're the ones that come to mind. Ain't going to be cheap. $2K to $3K just for the gears if you're going to put them in yourself. Why do you want something as evil as straight cut dog engagement gears??

  14. Last of the 20's was 74. Therefore first of the 30's was about then. 55's would have been coming out late 77-78. Need pics of said plate.
  15. Izusu Gemini? (Or whatever it was called there.....)
  16. Just remember, the more complex you make it, the more there is to go wrong. :)
  17. Nothing on in Bahrain that I know of.
  18. In all honesty, for a K motor I wouldn't worry about it. I ran a VERY angry 3K in all forms of motorsport (including a lot of rallying) for years in Queensland without the need for one.
  19. A bit of effort making your post more readable would be great, too. Short answer is no. Long answer is you can easily do a conversion to have one. But it isn't going to be cheap.
  20. Wanted to buy ads go here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/86-wanted-to-buy/ Please don't post this in the regional forums. Regards, Rollaclub Mods.
  21. I WILL be there, maybe a few minutes late.. R
  22. Conversely, I have a car without proflex and Kuhmo's and it still ran at the top end of Excels. I'm happy to free up engine regs, NA for NA, etc, but I think you can go too far. It all reads a little bit Group G for modern cars for my liking. But then again, nobody's making me run the series, either.
  23. I see dead people. There's not many around competent enough to punt something like that through a forest at pace.
  24. They were called Gemini's, and now they're called Excel's. I'm all for freeing up rules, but from what I see i think they're a bit too free. Happy to be corrected. IE SR20 Turbo in a 1600 would be legal?
  25. Thread cleaned. You lot have been around long enough to know better than to clog up a classified thread.
