  1. Did the new wiring come in a flatpack box with an allen key and confusing diagrams in Swenglish?
  2. In before the lock......
  3. Pfftt. Welcome to Queensland. It's the only state in the country where indicators are optional extras, and the residents are too tight to take up the option.
  4. Hmmmmmm......... Hmmmmmmmm.......... No. I doesn't really do it for me. From a distance it looks as if a bit is missing...... Just HMO. :P
  5. I have four cars and two trailers registered. That's over $2000 a year. I pay rates, I pay $30K a year in tax. I pay petrol tax, plus just about any other tax that seems to be imaginable. I have every right to be on the road on a bike. Diddums, you were held up for a minute or two. If that's the worst your life is it must be nirvana in your neighbourhood...... Honestly, this thread is 120 pages of predominately people who need a perspective adjustment. Or some thing similar. Hell, just the or something would do! :P
  6. Suck my left one. It's ignorant, stupid, impatient dipshits like you that make life f@$king dangerous for cyclists like me. I have numerous cars, and I've done things in them you will NEVER do in your tiny insignificant life, so your car arguement doesn't work there........ While you're at it, put your p-plates up.
  7. OOooooo..... 91? Is that the 4 wheel steer model?
  8. If I move a thread to another area, I don't expect to find the same thread started again in the wrong area. Moved again to SA.
  9. Oh Dear Lord. Who owns the 27 and can I have your children??
  10. Yes. I have a K head (K, not 3K bp) which had the big ports but small valves. (AFAIK, Doug will come in shortly to correct me. :y:) We put in valves from a later head and also changed the valve stem seals to the later variety as well due to the earlies being.... lets say a bit substandard for the application it was being used for. I've just re-read your post, we're you talking about a K head or a 5K head? You can also fit Gemini valves in at a pinch.......
  11. How much of your house has she eaten so far? The bill at the end of puppy-hood for our black eating machine was one coffee table, two chair cushions, one mobile phone (Leather cover...... yum!!), numerous socks, the scabbard on my wifes good dive knife and other assorted odds and ends. But we wouldn't swap our Lab for anything. :y:
  12. Look at the picture. Look where the distributor is and the direction of the intake manifold.
  13. A fool and their money are soon parted.......
  14. It's a 4AFE out of an AE10x.
  15. ^^^^^ +1. It's the same with flexible head ratchets.
  16. It's as good an opinion as any. :D Apologies about the tone. Bad hair day yesterday.
  17. I don't think so. But if they were available you'd probably be looking at $6-700 for crownwheel and pinion before build up.
  18. Go and buy one with it already done. Much cheaper that way. I'm not even going to start trying to work this out as you don't know what you want. Spend about two days doing some research into what you need and get back to us. The information is out there. Because you don't seem to want to do any of your own work, I really don't think you'll get away with much for $5K. Rego requirements differ from state to state. Contact your local transport authority.
  19. It's non repairable, end of story. Time for a new crown wheel and pinion.
  20. No.
  21. Do you want to do a proper job or a half arsed one? Do you just want to slot the engine and box in, without upgrading brakes and diff? Or do you want the thing to hold together as a nice little package. You also have to look at fuel system and electrics unless you want it Weber'd. (Factor $1K for good set-up Webers) Fabrication work and mechanical is charged out at anywhere between $60 and $90 per hour, depending on who does it. This conversion has been done more times than you can poke a stick at (I saw my first one in 1991 in a KE25), check out the members rides and engine conversions to see what you're up against.
  22. For someone else to do it, I'd say not a chance.
  23. Lever reversible for the win. If you get stuck, you can reverse them, with flip over you can't get back over the bolt head to turn them around to go backwards IYKWIM. I have a set of Force ones (Lever revesible) for home, and a selection of Snap-on flip overs for work.
  24. How about you tell us how much money you have, and we'll tell you if it's feasible.
  25. This should give an idea of why they didn't find the engines at the pentagon: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=WMyPC5wVvbs Smaller scale, but you get the idea. The Phant,m is no light weight though, and as you can see, two gas turbines being oblitorated. A Gas Turbine is not an engine similar to a piston engine. It's not a big solid lump of cast iron. It's a comparatively thin tube with a shaft up the middle, attached to which is a couple of hundred blades, all happy and willing to go everywhere at a moments notice. I consider this to be a good explaination as to why they didn't find the donks as lets face it, the pentagon is just a bunch of walls. As for the pilots skill level. The bigger it is, the easier it is to fly. If i can land one of these puppy's in a simulator, I'm sure someone on a mission, with some formal training, shouting "Allah Akbar" could pull off anything you want. Hell, give me a couple of hours in the Sim, and I'd give it a shot. Oh, and I noticed you got really interested again when somebody agreed with you. Way to hold a balanced discussion.
