  1. Kalby has a ride thread here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=26279 Camrollake70 has a ride thread here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=27664 We don't need three (or more) threads for two cars. :bash:
  2. Yes. Practically every engine combination known to man has been done, and at least one write-up on each exists on the interweb. One of the Tasmanian boys has done it. Spend a night or two wandering around the site, and then you'll have a better idea of what your up for for any given conversion.
  3. Alot of rooting around for less than the gain of a pair of webers, or even a nice pair of SU's. Been done before, probably will be done again. Not worth it IMHO.
  4. That's what I used to think until I came across this car..... With the great Murray Coote at the wheel. Listen to the note of it when it leaves. Not bad for a 6 pot. :P The corner at 4:30 is brilliant... Pace notes Jimna... Oh, and next license renewal when I'm 38. In 2011. :P
  5. WTF with the "r"'s??
  6. I would have thought 225 too heavy for a streeter. I'd be looking 170 to 200 max. I used to have a really nice set at 175 that were good to drive around on.
  7. Tis set-up is with 70mm taken out of the back, and 50mm out of the front. Rear springs are a custom pack with inverted eyes, front 225lb springs on adjustable platforms. This set-up would blow chunks in a daily.
  8. Check for an air leak between the head and manifold.
  9. I'm neither. I'm a Moderator. I can see the testosterone and overflowing hormones starting to rage in the general populace. Leave this thread to the girls will you guys?
  10. You'd be wanting to read these then: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=8093 Particularly this bit:
  11. Yo! Right here!!
  12. This is the only digital shot of my old house. It had trees across the front, and the house was in the open. If you look at the circular driveway in the top left corner, that's where it used to be. There used to be an old church at the end of the road. It was a tiny wooden thing built in the 1920's. Bottom two photos courtesy of news.com.au I'm having serious issue coming to grips with the town not being there anymore.
  13. It's funny. i haven't even thought about how they started and/ or who started it. I suppose I'm still in the phase where I'm just glad the people I knw are safe.....
  14. Well, I've located all my friends I had in the area, the last one popped up at midday today. My sister has the clothes on her back, her ute, the cat and some small odds and ends. House gone, shed gone, race car gone. Mainly for Col: I spoke to Batch today, he's fine and got out early with his ute and wagon. He believes his house is gone and his 25 to now be really, really light weight. He's already organising to put a bus on the block to live in. It really disappoints me now as someone whos lived there, that somewhere so beautiful will now be remembered for something so bad.
  15. Jip, I've pulled two of yours as well. Last chance people, another one showing illegal activities, and the whole thread goes.......
  16. Contact your local transport authority and they should give it to you. That way you should have the figure that they'll work off.
  17. Cool. Delete previous reference.
  18. Rebirthing cars is worse.
  19. Just quietly, the last thing I would be doing is telling the world on a public forum that you're doing something very illegal. Particularly with photos and rego plates visible.
  20. 14 confirmed, 40 suspect. Trust me. Don't wish the extras on anybody. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/02/07/2485255.htm
  21. My sisters house in Kinglake is gone, and I believe my old house in Kinglake is gone. 14 confirmed deaths at this point, per radio 776 at this time. The number of 40 is only a number they suspect.
  22. Ah, should have mentioned that. They're now at 28 Grice street, Clontarf. Just around the corner-ish.
  23. Frawley.s egine reconditioning in Redcliffe. They built my last K rally motor. Old man Frawley has gone from there, but I believe his son is still there, and he did alot of the work on mine.....
  24. Remarks like that aren't going to contribute to your longevity on this board. If you know what i mean. Posting is a privilege, not a right.
  25. Exactly the same as this topic: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=27155 Can you do some research first before asking effectively the same questions??
