  1. What are you planning to do with it? strut bars are good. Rear I really can't see the point. Have you had a look at what the shocks mount to? At the end of the day your liable to get more flex from your leaves than any movement from the chassis. Seem welding is good, but would bother if it's not a competition car. Why would you foam fill the rails? A decent roll cage will do about 10 times more for chassis regidity than any of the above suggestions. Like this one I prepared earlier: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...st&p=239138
  2. Gday, and welcome to rollaclub. A couple of handy hints for you so that you time here will be well spent. The other one is search and you shall seek. Many topics have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. Try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. What kind of advice are you after? Engine? Suspension? Drivetrain? Fully sick shopping list sticker application? Hmmm... maybe not the last one, but you get the idea. ;) Regards Dwarf
  3. An exedy H/d will be fine. You'll be able to drive it day to day happily, and not lose too much HP through it. You don't need a button or a ceramic. Your usage doesn't warrant it.
  4. Educational experience all round I'd say. :yak:
  5. Having given some parts to someone before Christmas, and then proptly forgotten about it, he turned up on my doorstep yesterday with beer. Thank you, you know who you are!
  6. Wow. No, really, wow! Quite art deco really....
  7. Buying a 2 door KE30 I would have thought would have been the preferred method.
  8. No. Really. Jack up the car, get your spare wheel, and yoink it tyre first into the wheel you want to get off. Think of it as an oversized rubber mallet. It's probably hung up on the axle center bit the your drum fits over. It must be later RX7, because the early S1 had 4x110 pattern. I thought the S2 abd 3 were too, but I could be wrong, and probably am.
  9. Reduction starter is THE best thing you will ever put on it. Oh, and do all of the above. :y:
  10. Just so that we are all PERFECTLY clear about this, ANY footage of illegal activities will be removed, poster warned and for shits and giggles, thread closed. You guys know the deal, and most of you are adult enough to know why we have this requirement. Thanks. :y: Continue........
  11. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=20657 Have a read of this. It also details what you have to do to make the rims fit. It's not much, but you have to do it. I find the throw the spare tyre method effective.
  12. Your sister is your boss? It looks like a guy... Correct.
  13. I thought she looked like Michael Jackson......
  14. One topic = One thread. Three topics is just annoying.
  15. No we don't. But if we had one, I'd have used it. :y:
  16. Dude. Check the date. :y:
  17. Being able to properly use a 9" AG should be an initiation right into manhood. Before use, you were a boy. After, you are a man. I fit chainsaws into the same catagory. Real ones, not the half arsed efforts you get at Bunnings. Bugger about the face, but he should have thought about the cut a bit more......
  18. - rep for making me look at that website.
  19. Cutting up a car witha 9" AG is one of the most satisfying things you can ever do. :) On a side note, I love my new 4.5" 18V battery powered angle grinder. :y:
  20. You will need a new manifold, due to being a completely different carb than what you have now. Maniflolds are available from people like Lynx and Redline. A single 45 will be fine. Will need a dyno to get fine tuned.
  21. 810's not bad for a trailer that size. I'd have expected the thick end of a ton. You'll still know you're pulling it though! :| That white stripey thing is a Sth Aus requirement?
  22. Vote 1 to wait it out and find an AE71 box. It fits, it works, you don't have to screw around with it. Yes it costs money, but I hate to say it, suck it up as it's worth it in the end. That's why I have procured a TE27 pedal box for one of my cars. Trust me, for $200 you're getting out of it cheap, and everything fits as it should.
  23. Is a moderate budget somewhere between 5K and 8K? Some friendly advice is search and you shall seek. Many topics have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. I know for a fact this oe has been done, and I know there's info about, you just have to spend a bit of time to find it. Also try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. 24. And that's why people consider you to be a tool.
